Launchbox 12.5 failed.

I want to thank you for the constant updates, but this time it totally messed up my current installation.

I started Launchbox this morning, a couple minutes into it, it asked to update.

I said yes, then it started, ran into a problem that said it couldn't continue, asked to try again, ignore or quit installation.

Tried several times to continue, failed, ignore, failed then the only thing I could do was quit.

I even opened task manager to see what could be stopping the installation, the only thing that showed up was the install itself.

So now I try to start, launchbx, all it does is ask to download net core.  Went into the update folder to manually install the app, blah, it is not even seeing the correct directory.

The last time it did this and I pointed i the correct directory, and when I started launchbox, none of the games showed up, it was blank and asked to import. I had to do it all over again.

Do you have a LaunchBox folder inside your LaunchBox folder?  i.e.  E:\Users\sound\LaunchBox\LaunchBox\

Exactly what i was about to say, running the installer will never delete your data, a empty Launchbox is 100% of the time user error with installing one folder too deep. If your Launchbox folder is say D:/Launchbox, then when running the installer you install to D:, as @JoeViking245 said installing it to D:/Launchbox will create a Launchbox folder inside your Launchbox folder, and that will auto open and be empty as its a new install at that point.

That's not what happened the last time Launchbox install failed.  It wasn't a user error either. I was able to correct the issue after a little work, but I did not install the program into the incorrect folder.

This is where it installed.  E:\Users\sound\LaunchBox last time and this time.

I was able to install 12.5 again without a hitch this time after a re-boot.
