MAME ROMs working on RetroArch, but do not work in Launchbox

I was originally running Mame by itself through Launchbox and for some reason only half my games would work. So I decided to run it through retroarch since I was already running SNES, NES, Atari etc. The Mame games run perfectly in retroarch using the Mame 2010 core, but when I try to play a game from Launchbox it doesn’t do anything. I have the associated platform as Arcade and the correct core to match but nothing I try is working. Like I said NES SNES ATARI GAMECUBE N64 all work perfectly in Launchbox from Retroarch so I’m not sure why Mame isn’t.

There are numerous threads on this issue.

You need to edit your Retroarch in LB >Tools >Manage >Emulators.

On the details page uncheck the option for "Extract Rom file...".

Well if that is correct you actually have something wrong with your romset, or are using the wrong emulator version for your romset. What romset do you actually have, and how did you import it into Launchbox?
