Hello,

My launchbox is having problems with themes and buttons "ok", "cancel" and checkboxes of any menu inside the tool tabs, importing roms etc...

I can't change the themes or the colors of the menus.

I have already subscribed to the launchbox/big box premium license but the problem persists.

Can someone help me?

Thanks!

Hi neil9000,

Thank you for your help!

I will check all the posts you sent.

In parallel, I did some research online and found that the application/process called "nahimic" can cause these same graphical issues in LaunchBox.

Regarding the "OK", "Cancel" and "checkboxes for tabs and menus" bugs, I managed to solve the problem by uninstalling or at least stopping the "nahimic" process.

However, unfortunately, the problem with LaunchBox themes persists: I still can't change themes. Launchbox does not change the graphical interface, changing just some colors of some buttons only.

Tks

If you're on an older version of LaunchBox there was a bug updating/repairing themes (via the Theme Manager) that you were actively using and it would not extract the new theme properly. If not on the current version (or applying the theme manually instead of using the Theme Manager) I would update and try again. If you cannot update because of an expiring premium license the work around would be to change to the Default theme, and then update/repair the theme you want to use, and then change to it. Doing things in that order should get you up and running correctly.

Hi C-Beats,

Thank you for your help.

I'm using Launchbox version 12.16 and, despite what is shown in the photo I posted earlier, I have the premium license.

I believe I made a mistake in thinking the themes were not being applied.

What happened, I believe, is that the images that Launchbox brings as a preview of each theme have images of random games in the background, in a blurred way.

It happened that I still couldn't enable this type of visual effect (make the game image appear in the background, when I select this game's icon).

Anyway, thanks for the help!

Hello,

That's right! That's exactly what I did and also expanded the preference order of game images that should be loaded in the "background images" list (for cases where the rom didn't have a background image).

At the same time, I got technical support from the launchbox app staff as well, who were extremely attentive and patient with me, just like you here on the forum.

Thanks for your attention and help!

Yes, it all worked out! Thanks!

I really enjoyed the Airy and Beats themes... did you develop Beats? Cool! Congratulations!

On a side topic, do you know where I can consult a complete list of all emulators, roms and file extensions to organize my library within Launchbox?

I'm downloading the roms from the roms pack website (in the intro roms packs)... they are amazing!

Another amazing site is arcade punks... I've been a fan of the work they do there for many years...
