Recommended Posts

Version 1.15 - Released July 23, 2024

Full Changelog: https://www.launchbox-app.com/android-about/change-log

  • Additional improvements with how LaunchBox handles your library when exceeding the 100-game limit without a license
  • Dolphin can now be automatically downloaded and installed when launching a Nintendo GameCube or Nintendo Wii game (if it's not installed already); this makes it super easy to get up and playing without the need for a user to set up Dolphin separately
  • The "Manage RetroArch" section has now been changed to "Manage Emulators", and just like RetroArch, you can now download, install, and update Dolphin with a touch of a button
  • Full emulator support added for: MelonDS, and MelonDS Nightly
  • A new method of adding custom emulators has been added. Use the "Custom Emulator (With Code)" option, within your Emulator Settings, which can leverage existing emulator launch code from other frontends
  • Managing your Android app library has become easier! A new "Manage Apps" section lets you choose which apps appear within LaunchBox. Find it under the Android platform menu or the Options menu
  • Sorting by Star Rating is now more accurate. When your games lack personal ratings, LaunchBox will use community star ratings to sort
  • LaunchBox now gracefully handles your library in a less destructive way when exceeding the 100-game limit without a license
  • A Stretch Background Videos setting has been added to both Platform View Settings and Game View Settings
  • Fixed a rare crash for when a game exists in your library that is part of a platform that does not exist
  • Fixed a potential crash that could occur during a platform save

Anyone could run MelonDS? Mine say 'could not find rom'. I can run games from Melonds directly with no issues

Can you open a separate MelonDS thread in the Android section and provide a number of details about your device, along with the exact version of MelonDS you are running, along with whether you downloaded it from the Play Store or from their github.

Good day,

I was wondering if it is a bug on other devices, but when I setup launchbox on an Onn 4k pro and install retroarch from launchbox and open a rom, I get a black screen and have to force close retroarch but retroarch says the core is installed as indicated by the # next to the core name. If I only use retroarch to open the room with the same core, it plays normal. If I use launchbox to open retroarch it crashes with a black screen.

I am running the most recent version of Android TV for the Onn 4K pro,

I am running the most recent version of retroarch that installs from launchbox. I have also double checked the cores are correct and downloaded properly, It looks like lunch box keeps sending the core but crashes, Is there a way to prove that large box from sending retroarch the core because launch box thinks that the court is not installed is my guess.

I hope that makes some sort of sense lol
