My bigbox seems to be freezing after 13.19 update

after a few game scrolling cycles big box freezes and i have to force close. should i revert back? any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about the issue here, may I confirm a few things to try and narrow this down:

• What Big Box theme are you using? If you revert to the default theme do you experience these freezes
• Are you able to reliably reproduce the freeze after a few game cycles, or does it appear randomly?
• If you can reliably reproduce it, are you able to record a screen recording that demonstrates the issue?
• Is any sort of error shown when it freezes, or it's just non-responsive and you have to force quit?

I'm having the same issue. I'm running Unified Refried Theme. Bigbox will just freeze while browsing games and while its in attract mode and auto-scrolls through wheels. I'll try to use the default theme and see if it still freezes.

Still having the issue after a updating. Below are a few answers to your questions. Not sure if anyone else has the same results as me:

• I'm running Unified Refried theme, but swapped to the default and it still freezes.
• Its random but consistent, if that makes sense. Its not after a set amount of time or triggered by any one wheel item it happens randomly but it always freezes at some point.
• No screen capture.
• No error, it just hangs. The video freezes and split second audio may loop if it was playing sound when it froze. Need to ctrl+alt+del and end the task to be able to close it out.

I thought maybe it was a video decoding issue, so I checked my settings. I was set to Windows Media player but changed it to VLC and still experienced the freezing. Not sure if its related, but up to this version I was always able to press any button to skip my video intro, but I am no longer able to do that. Hope this info helps.

I'm having the exact same issue. I usually leave bigbox open on the menu screen overnight, and now it's always crashed when I come down in the morning.

I've noticed it happens at the end of a song sometimes. I have 102 songs in my background music folder, not sure if that's a common factor her

I've tried removing my 3rd party plugins, that didn't do anything 

Happens regardless of if I run as an admin.

We're still investigating to understand the cause here, as we're not able to fully reproduce this yet.

Right now, while I realise some people have reported this hasn't helped, others have said that switching the video playback engine from VLC to Windows Media player has helped with this. For those who haven't, it would be worth making that change to see if it has any effect. I'd also suggest following that known issue so that you can see any updates we post.
