cscottbrown Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I have Vita3K installed properly with a bunch of games in the "ux0" folder. All have been left alone, so they should match perfectly with games. However, when I follow ETA Prime's tutorial for the 13.16 release, it doesn't import any of the ROMs. Vita3k is added to my emulators list just fine, but even with automatic ROM importing on, the ROMs never actually import. Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? What exactly was fixed in 13.19 to make Vita imports work again? What was broken before? I'd love to have my Vita games in LB, even if it means using some workaround method, but everything I find online doesn't work. Quote
ry4man93 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Running into the same problem dude, confused as to what I'm doing wrong as well. Games run perfect in Vita 3k but don't launch or import into Launchbox. Kinda defeats the purpose of using this. Quote
AstroBob Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Hi there, Thanks for the report here and apologies this still isn't working for you. Could you please confirm a few things to try to narrow this down: It sounds like you've checked this already but just to be sure, can you go to Tools > Options, and then under General > Automated Imports, ensure that Enable Automatic ROM Imports is checked Go to Tools > Manage > Platforms and edit the Sony Playstation Vita platform. At the bottom you'll see a checkbox called Disable ROM Auto-Imports, can you make sure this is unchecked? This is used to override the default auto-rom import settings for platforms that you don't want to auto-import. What location is vita3k installed to? Is it inside you're LuanchBox directory, or somewhere else? Can you send me a screenshot of the Vita3k Edit Emulator window Finally, can you walk me through how you've been installing your games to Vita 3k? It sounds like you've been doing it correctly since you should see a bunch of directories in the Vita3k\user\ux0\app directory, but just to be sure Let me know and we'll try to get you sorted Quote
cscottbrown Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 (edited) Thanks for the fast reply @AstroBob. Here are the answers to your questions: I have confirmed that Enable Automatic ROM Imports is checked in the Automated Imports section I have confirmed that the Sony PlayStation Vita platform does not have the Disable ROM Auto-Imports setting checked Vita3k is installed in the LaunchBox folder under "Emulators>vita3k." This is where I keep all my emulators. Screenshot attached. I have ZIP files of my PS Vita games. I open Vita3k and go to File>Install .zip and find the appropriate ZIP file and install it. I have attached a screenshot of the games folder for clarity. Let me know if you need anything else! Edited February 17 by cscottbrown Quote
C-Beats Posted February 17 Posted February 17 @cscottbrown Can you run a normal ROM import using any file/folder and import for Playstation Vita and in the emulator page select Vita3k. When you get to the last page regardless of what you selected to import from all games not yet imported that are installed to Vita3k should appear on the game select page. Select a row and press delete to remove it. Let the import run and then close LB. Open it again and see if the scan picks up the row you deleted on restart. We are seeing a bit of a delay in the auto-import process in 13.19 likely related to the Sqlite change so give it a while longer (no longer than 3-5m depending on your specs). Quote
cscottbrown Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 @C-Beats Hi there! I did my best to follow your instructions. I decided to try and import an eboot.bin for an actual PlayStation Vita game. I've included screenshots of the significant steps here so you can see them. However, when I got to the point where the Import Wizard would list out the games, there was nothing listed (see screenshot). So the steps where I should have selected and deleted the row weren't possible. I pressed forward, though, importing an empty list. When I did so, LaunchBox did its usual thing of querying the LB database and "importing" the game. I then shut down and restarted LB, and waited five minutes. In the end, nothing happened. There was no PlayStation Vita game added, but there is now a listing for Vita in the Manasge Platforms list and a listing for Vita3k in the Manage Emulators list. Let me know if you want me to re-try this under different instructions/circumstances. Quote
C-Beats Posted February 17 Posted February 17 If you press "Force Import Duplicates" in the import options page do you see them then? Also if you go to Tools > Manage > Platforms do you see Vita listed? If so does it have a game count? Quote
cscottbrown Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 Let me try the process again and tick the "Force Import Duplicates" option. For your second question, yes: the PlayStation Vita platform is listed (I mentioned this in the previous comment) and it lists zero games. I'll respond again in a sec once I re-try the process. Quote
cscottbrown Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 Same result as last time. The Import Wizard listed no games as being imported and then added the Vita3k emulator and the PlayStation Vita platform but connected zero games. Quote
C-Beats Posted February 17 Posted February 17 If you go to View > Show/Hide within that menu are some selections like "Hide Games Missing..." are any of those checked? Quote
cscottbrown Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 I am confused by this request, so I just screenshotted both sections you seem to be referring to Quote

The second screenshot is showing me what I was hoping to see. I'm at a loss for the moment since I can't replicate on my end. As time permits I'll walk through the code and see if there anything else we can walk through in an attempt to figure out why it's not working correctly for you. Are you opening the app from a network location or as administrator? Quote
cscottbrown Posted Monday at 03:45 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:45 PM Thanks @C-Beats, I appreciate the troubleshooting assistance. And no, I am running LB locally without administrator privileges. I am running it from a partitioned drive, although I doubt that would be the cause of this. Also, just as an FYI, importing other ROMs for other systems works fine. Atuo-importing also works fine. It's just Vita that seems to be the problem. Quote
ry4man93 Posted Monday at 04:55 PM Posted Monday at 04:55 PM For what it's worth @C-Beats i'm having the exact same problem as @cscottbrown to a tee. Just so it's known its not an isolated incident. I shall be following this thread closely as well. Hope you can figure it out Quote
C-Beats Posted Monday at 05:40 PM Posted Monday at 05:40 PM Could you check to see if there is a config.yml file in your emulators root directory and if so PM it to me so I can attempt to step through code on my end @cscottbrown @ry4man93 Quote
cscottbrown Posted Monday at 05:41 PM Author Posted Monday at 05:41 PM @C-Beats I'm assuming you mean Vita3k's config.yml file? If so, it's attached. config.yml Quote

If so, it's attached. config.yml 2.74 kB · 0 downloads Yeah, I think this is the cause. I have a full path in mine that isn't in yours and it's causing issue in the code. A work around for now is to open the yml file and in the "pref-path" entry put the full path to the folder the emulator is located in. Save the file and then try to import again in LB. Alternatively you can rename/move that file out of that directory, run the import and put it back. I've noted the problem location in code and it should be corrected in the next beta release. Quote
ry4man93 Posted Monday at 06:02 PM Posted Monday at 06:02 PM @C-Beats Thank you so much for all your help! That did the trick! I will close my other thread as well now that my issue has been resolved. All the best Quote
cscottbrown Posted Monday at 06:09 PM Author Posted Monday at 06:09 PM @C-Beats Nice one! I can confirm this was the culprit. I cut config.yml from the Vita3k folder, opened LB, added the Vita3k emulator, closed LB, opened LB again, waited a few minutes, and all Vita games auto-imported as expected. Moved the config.yml file back to the folder, and everything's good. Thanks! Quote
