Fursphere Posted February 13 Posted February 13 The automatic storefront imports from Steam appear to be broken in the current release. I installed a bunch of steam games on my cabinet, and launchbox isn't picking them up at all. manage-storefronts - automatic imports is enabled, and for steam its set to 'installed games' Quote
AstroBob Posted Monday at 01:59 AM Posted Monday at 01:59 AM Hi @Fursphere, I’m splitting this into a new topic since I can successfully use Steam auto-imports on version 13.19. This way, we can troubleshoot your specific issue together. The first thing that comes to mind—have you ever deleted Steam games from your LaunchBox library in the past? With auto-ROM imports enabled, if you delete a storefront game from your library, LaunchBox tracks that and won’t try to auto-import it again. To re-import the game, you’ll need to go to Import > Steam Games and use the wizard there. If you use the manual import wizard, are you able to import Steam games that way? A good way to verify this is to install a game on Steam that you’re certain has never been imported into LaunchBox before and see if it's able to be auto-imported. If that doesn’t work, we’ll need to know more about your Steam installation. Can you confirm where Steam and LaunchBox are installed? Are you using any symlinks, or do you have files spread across multiple drives? Let me know and we'll try and get you sorted Quote
Fursphere Posted Monday at 03:19 AM Author Posted Monday at 03:19 AM Importing steam games manually works fine. I purchased a new game. Installed it. And it didn't import. So I installed a few more games, and they didn't import either. No symlinks. I am running Stablebit Drivepool. Launchbox is installed on c:\ (nvme), and Laucnhbox, steam, roms, etc are on D:\ with is a drivepool of 2x 14tb drives. Never had an issue with drivepool and launchbox before though. Quote
AstroBob Posted Monday at 05:42 AM Posted Monday at 05:42 AM Has this been working for you in previous releases? One thing to rule out is in your data folder you'll see a file called ImportBlacklist, this keeps just of games that were previously imported, deleted and marked not to be imported again. Can you temporarily move that file out of that directory to see if that helps. If not, the next thing to narrow down would be your specific build. The best way to test this is to install a brand new LaunchBox instance (on the same drive but different location), and set it up to auto-import a few steam games. It would be interesting to see how a fresh build handles them, or if it still doesn't pick anything up. Let me know Quote
Fursphere Posted Monday at 03:19 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:19 PM (edited) Hmm. There are a bunch of entries in the import blacklist. I wonder if they all got BL'd when I deleted the platform before? (I didn't know this file was a thing) Is it safe to just delete this file? Edited Monday at 03:19 PM by Fursphere Quote

Fursphere Posted Monday at 03:39 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:39 PM The Steam install on that particular PC is pretty light, so if it only targets 'locally' installed games, it should be fine. Quote

That would depend on your auto-import setting. Tools > Manage > Storefronts will show what you have set to auto-import. Quote
