Not a big deal but it's driving my OCD crazy for weeks now :D
I merged eXoDREAMM and ExoScummVM +  ExoScummVM SVN manually to eXoDos which is my base platform. Then added all new platforms to my eXodos build. But for some reason only 2 platforms out of 54 do not show icons. The icons are present in D:\!LAUNCHBOX\Images\Platform Icons\Platforms by default.

If I remember correctly, I once downloaded eXoDREAMM again and unpacked like regular system and there was also no eXoDREAMM icon present. So maybe it's not a launchbox issue at all but not sure.

Any idea what file I should check that manages menus, maybe the URL is wrong or something. Also is there a way to give icon for Installed exodos games playlist? I am using free version of launchbox 13.20.

Thanks.

Using Custom platform icon images is not available in the free version.

If you decide to get a premium license, then it's simply a matter of placing the image files in your /LaunchBox/Images/Platform Icons/Platforms/ folder.

i.e.

  • DREAMM.png
  • Installed eXoDOS Games.png
  • ScummVM SVN.png
  • 2 months later...

@joeviking245 Question: I clearly see a Dreamm icon in my images folder that was there already however, this is still not pulling up in LB. There is also no way in the edit platform settings to force the used of this and when doing a platform scrape it does not populate either. i also have the same issue with scummvm svn Any thoughts?

I know nothing about eXoDOS.  I've only ever seen them in the LaunchBox folder structure.

Also note, starting with LaunchBox release 13.21, that's changed.  You can read about it in The LaunchBox Strategy Guide here:

LaunchBox Media Pack Feature – Version 13.21 - LaunchBox

I have all the eXo with exception of DREAMM installed.  Double-check with right-click and properties to verify those are Platforms vs Playlists.  ScummVM SVN works on my install (I renamed them with eXo) with both as platforms.

The "Installed..." icons are in Playlists folders (should be named exactly as your playlist if right-click properties).

Assuming you have all that correct (which it appears from your post), I would copy/paste the exact name out of the platform/playlist LB entry and paste into  icon file name. Maybe some errant spacing or character.  Then hit F5 refresh to update LB.
