Clear Logo Translation Project

Hello,

I've begun work on translating all Japanese Clear Logo's for games that have a fan-translation available in English. All of these have already been submitted to the db. Scrape any jp-en games in your library featured in these posts and you'll notice it now has an English logo that is a very close match to the Japanese version. I tried my best to strictly adhere to the style of the original logo unless a more modern version of that logo exists -- in which case, I'll opt for the modern logo. 

As I complete systems, I will update these posts. If you notice one missing, please let me know and I'll get it done. When I feel like I've gotten a system more or less complete, I'll attach a zip file in this 1st post.

This would allow logo's to be region tagged for Fan Translation (jp-en, jp-pt, jp-es, jp-fr, etc.) so they don't need to default to a particular country or World which tend to piss off a lot of people.
I think this a very important change. Spread the link, let's get this implemented.

My other suggestion is that Launchbox allow for a Showcase page where people who create media can optionally have a page to display all their work. This would make it easier for artists to collaborate on projects like this one. Please give it an upvote/comment if you think it's a good idea. I'd love to show off all my submissions and give others a chance to do the same.

Zipped collections include both clear logo's made in this post and a collection of marquees/banners for that system that I've generated with a script.

If you'd like to generate your own marquees for other games, feel free to use my script. It requires installing ImageMagick and adding it to your Environment Path. The script expects clear logo's to go into a "wheel" subfolder with all logo's having a -wheel suffix and fan art/boxart to go into a "images" subfolder with a -fanart or -boxart suffix.

Thanks! I will definitely do so as soon as I have more systems complete. Soon as I get to a point where I feel like some of these are completely done, I'll edit my first post with a bunch of zips for each system completed.

I contacted @smashingblarghargharg and asked if there was any objection into me contributing and improving on some of the logo's he already made. There wasn't.
So from time to time I will also contribute some improvements on the above posted clear logo's.

First two where I saw improvements could be made:

To add this this, I welcome all to participate. If you find room for improvement or find fan-translated games that need a logo, feel free to post your submissions/requests in this thread.

I'll try my best to update the combined posts above with your contributions and add a credit below the image so people will know who made it. 

At some point if this project grows beyond my capability to manage new submissions in the original posts, we'll figure something else out... But honestly I hope it does! I would love to see a bunch of artists creating translated logos for fan-translated games in multiple languages.

I'll make a feature submission for Launchbox DB to add a region tag specifically for fan translations or maybe a language tag and update when it gets posted.

I really don't like the English version of the 'Relics: The Dark Fortress' logo that I submitted. I couldn't figure out how to replicate the style of the Japanese logo (the effect/technique is called "one point perspective")

Can someone else give it a try?

Famicom Disk System is complete! Gonna back track to GB and finish the missing titles, then decide which console I want to do next. Maybe Master System, PC Engine, Neogeo Pocket, and Wonderswan as they're a less daunting effort than NES and I'd like to get some more complete systems on the board before taking on something that will probably take months.
