LaunchBox 13.27 Beta Thread

FIXED :  For some reason the latest version when I checked it had put https://steamcommunity.com/id/name as double fields so it was https://steamcommunity.com/id/ and then in the field https://steamcommunity.com/id/name so it was doing it twice. 

I have used the beta 5 version and yesterday no problems importing Steam games. I upgraded to the full version this morning and I am trying to import one game.

However, I am getting a message saying that I am offline and that my profile needs to be public.

I have not changed my Steam account yesterday so I am not sure what is going on here.

I am not sure if any one else can possibly confirm if this is a bug or not.

I am on Windows 11 Pro, hard wired connection to the internet so I know that I am online.

I got this error after upgrading to fulll version of 13.27. The error was not there in bata 5. This is making Launchbox unusable.

Problem importing switch games under new beta.

 

 

So I reload my switch games because of a bad drive and when i got them imported, i noticed that a LOT of them are missing covers for various reasons... but here are a few bugs i have found so far.

1. Sometimes when the game is imported, it doesnt get any information or artwork. You can edit the game name (Black Widow: Recharged for example) and even though the game title is the exact same, if you remove one word.. recharged for example, it will pull all the info and artwork correctly.

2. When importing some games, like Biz Builder Delux, it shows no nintendo switch infotrmation, only the Windows version. HOWEVER... when you click on the windows version, it downloads the switch artwork and information correctly.

 

Thinking there is some kind of cross action going on between platforms since, especially on the Biz Builder Delux game, it does that.

 

Just thought i would report it here.

 

Hope this helps. I will report more as i find them.

 

Update :

BPM: Bullets Per Minute and also Bramble: The Mountain King are titles that has to be edited to import, even though the name is the same. There does appear to be a pattern... titles that use a Colon .

Hey. Thanks for the great new version. However, when I first launch Launchbox, it says "searching for additional ROMs" on the bottom and I cannot stop this process or manually initiate my own search no matter what I do.

Also, auditing for "ghost games" or removal of false flags, fake games, deletion of broken folders, etc, from within Launchbox could still be a smoother/easier process, to cut down on duplicates, false positives, registering broken/empty folders as a game, etc. Thank you for this great new version again. 🙏
