Interestingly, this only happens when I'm logged in; if I access the site without logging in, the page load perfectly. Another observation, if not logged in, DB searches seem to respond faster as well. This last observation might be nothing, but it does appear there is an issue somewhere due to authentication. Quote

It's just the problem was a little deeper than initially thought. e.g. Admin could be logged in, and it Just Worked™. Issue? What issue? Later found that (for some reason) I wasn't logged in on the Games DB site. Once logged in, the issue became apparent. Quote
