badflame Posted yesterday at 02:20 PM Posted yesterday at 02:20 PM (edited) Many game profiles, seemingly random but always the same ones, are returning a 500 error. Interestingly, this only happens when I'm logged in; if I access the site without logging in, the page load perfectly. I've cleared my browser's cookies in case that was the reason, but the error persists. Edited yesterday at 02:20 PM by badflame 1 Quote
MJF Posted yesterday at 04:34 PM Posted yesterday at 04:34 PM (edited) Same. It doesn't happen with every game, but quite a lot It seems to mostly be for certain platforms. Like the Switch. Windows seems ok Edited yesterday at 04:39 PM by MJF Quote
dragon57 Posted yesterday at 04:37 PM Author Posted yesterday at 04:37 PM I can confirm if you are not logged in, the error goes away. Thanks, I would not thought that would be a factor. Another observation, if not logged in, DB searches seem to respond faster as well. This last observation might be nothing, but it does appear there is an issue somewhere due to authentication. Quote
MJF Posted yesterday at 04:44 PM Posted yesterday at 04:44 PM Can confirm that it only effects certain platforms. Platforms like Snes, c64, Windows, are not effected But Switch, MS-DOS and some others are Quote
MJF Posted yesterday at 04:46 PM Posted yesterday at 04:46 PM I'm going to go through every platform, then come up with a list. But it won't be right away. I have some personal things to do first. Quote
Randy Morrow Posted yesterday at 05:06 PM Posted yesterday at 05:06 PM It may be different with each account because you say SNES is fine but its not for me it doesn't seem to be full platforms its individual games I can get into PS1 and SNES but like 75% of the games are 500 error and yes it works when you logged out my ai sais it might have somthing to do with expired certificates. You are indeed correct. I just got a Switch game that actually worked Quote

JoeViking245 Posted yesterday at 05:39 PM Posted yesterday at 05:39 PM I'm not an admin, but I can say it's being worked on internally as we 'speak'. [A real] admin will respond when the issue gets resolved (or update accordingly). Quote
JoeViking245 Posted yesterday at 05:44 PM Posted yesterday at 05:44 PM @dragon57 @badflame @MJF @Randy Morrow Try it now. Quote

JoeViking245 Posted yesterday at 06:13 PM Posted yesterday at 06:13 PM Just now, Randy Morrow said: Thx it's working again! I wasn't complaning I was just wondering if they new about it. I know there probably busy, and was wondering if there was a better place to post so they would see it. No worries. Glad to hear all's good! They were aware. It's just the problem was a little deeper than initially thought. e.g. Admin could be logged in, and it Just Worked™. Issue? What issue? As more comments were left (here, in an appropriate place ), further digging commenced. 1 Quote

Later found that (for some reason) I wasn't logged in on the Games DB site. Once logged in, the issue became apparent. Quote
badflame Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I tested some of the profiles that weren't working and now they open without any problem 1 Quote
