Validating database hash is painfully slow

I'm using Launchbox v13.27 and I have a rather large game library (~9000 games). When adding games, the 'validating database hash' portion is taking several minutes to complete. Is this a known issue or is there anything I can do to speed this up (besides deleting games)? Thank you.

is happening to me too , hope is not because of a large collection of games imported and that can be fixed soon on a new release

I just noticed this as well. I added one game and it took almost 5 minutes mostly stuck on the database hash.

yeah same issue -- I feel like it has to be a "recent-ish" regression because I was not having this issue before

Any mods looking into this? Happening to me as well. Both when adding games and manually updating the Games Database Metadata.

Has there been any kind of update on this? Or perhaps a way to turn off refreshing metadata every single day? 

This is getting quite annoying and making it hard to complete my collection. I've slowly started looking into other front ends because of this

In the 13.28 beta release...
"Improvement: LocalDb startup work has been optimized to reduce startup overhead during local metadata database initialization and lookups"

 

This seems to include the updating of the local database which only occurs once per day (or roughly every 24 hours).  My tests for updating the local database:
v13.27               1 minute 43 seconds
v13.28 (beta)    37 seconds.

If its happening everyday that's because you have automated imports turned on is it not? Turn that off and back on when you have games to add, or until 13.28 is released.
