MAME Bezels not getting installed to artwork folder post 13.27 update

*Disclaimer (and I know I am in the minority at this point): I don't use retroarch cores I have a standalone MAME install (v0.260) which I setup manually as an emulator in Launchbox

My setup has worked well for over a year now, MAME is not the only emulator I've setup so I know my way around a bit at this point but dont profess to be a pro. The issue I'm having is when I import new MAME roms in Launchbox (a process I've done many times), it goes through the usual motions of downloading meta data, images and bezel pack etc but when I go look at the artwork folder in my MAME install folder the bezel images for the newly imported roms never get copied to that location. This was working as recently as April 20th when I last added two roms prior to the 13.27 update.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I've tried removing the roms and re-adding, clearing image cache etc. I will do a good ol fashioned reboot for what its worth but have low confidence this will address it. Are there any additional troubleshooting steps I should take?

I don't want to derail your thread, but if do not want to wait on a fix, you could always fall back to the Windows Bezel Project app to see if the native MAME option works for you.

Note: The master list of MAME lay files which are used to install bezels into MAME have not been updated yet to match recent Github repository updates for the supported systems. MAME lay file updates will be done when full repository updates are complete. Out of 73 repositories, there are five yet to update, so soon we hope to circle back and update the MAME lay masters to match.

Thanks for the quick response and your suggestion!

I was hoping to continue to use functionality within Launchbox that had been working without installing something additional. Sound like you are saying this is potentially a known issue at this point? If that is the case and the fix will take months vs days or weeks I may give your suggestion a shot.

I was also hoping to confirm if this is indeed a known issue so I can rule out an issue with my specific setup.

Just another idea, but have you done an exhaustive search to see if the MAME bezels were installed in a different location? Something like the utility 'Everything' at www.voidtools.com can quickly locate just about any file instantly.

Update:

Restarting didnt help. Search for new bezel files came up empty across my entire drive.

It appears to go through the motions as usual when I add a MAME rom. It updates meta data, and kicks off bezel pack download but when that completes, no error but also no bezels.
