An alternative to the "Street" startup theme. 

Neon Deluxe Arcade is a series of themes, if you like you can download these to accompany the complete theme:

Neon Deluxe Arcade - Startup Theme (Street)

Neon Deluxe Arcade - Startup Theme (Inside)

Mr. RetroLust's Realistic Retroarch Bezels (Same style > Dimmed lit retro gaming)

 

This Startup theme does not use fanart backgrounds but one static image in 4K quality.

1. The left side has been bound to "Box3DImagePath" or what you've set in this image category's priority list.

2. The right side has been bound to "Cart3DImagePath" or what you've set in this image category's priority list.

3. On the left side covering the 3DBox is bound to "CartFrontImagePath" or what you've set in this image category's priority list.

4. Game logo in Top Center 

Unpack the folder in: LAUNCHBOX\StartupThemes, go to startup settings and choose the title of this theme.
If you like the startup theme to last longer on your screen, simply delay it to 5 seconds in the launchbox and/or bigbox settings.

you think theres a way to have the discs spin? i saw that on one startup theme a while ago.

i dont know a ton about coding, but it does look like the "center logo" startup screen has the same kind of code. but it has individual xaml files for each of the platforms. idk might be tedious. just an idea

Thanks for checking, yeah it would be needed to make separate xaml for each platform I guess so you dont have cartridges spinning but only discs, i'm working on different other projects as well so it would take me too much time to do this as well, sorry man.

Any idea why the background isn't showing? I see the carts but no background...

Try reinstalling the theme, it should show out of the box.

Didn't work.
Unsure if it is a setting or something on Launchbox or my PC...

Glad you like it, thanks :) I've found the problem, dashes in the extracted folder name where causing the problem thus not linking the image correctly. I've updated the files, you can download it again on the file page or here:

Because it's created for 16:9 screens, there is no mention of 4:3 support anywhere on this page.
