    Sure. Normally in XAML you can wrap things inside of other things.

    An example would be having an image, inside of a border, that's inside of a grid. You could potentially place many images inside of the grid, like this:

    <Grid>
      <Border>
        <Image/>
      </Border>
      <Border>
        <Image/>
      </Border>
      <Border>
        <Image/>
      </Border>
    </Grid>

    The benefit of something like this is that I can animate the Grid, and it will animate all of the elements inside of the grid.

    The COMMUNITY Theme Creator doesn't currently work this way. Each Element would be considered separate from each other. So, in the above example, I would have to create 3 animations on each image to achieve the same result.

    The goal of the parenting update is to solve issues like this (along with many others), allowing us to place elements inside of other elements.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

    Totally. Thanks a lot for the explanation.

    As time permits, yes. Sorry. What features are you looking for? I use it every week and it fits my needs but I'm happy to add other features or fix bugs. How can I help?

    Your software is great!!! It has saved me hours and hours of renaming and moving images around.

    I have a couple of doubts, though:

    I still haven't figured it out how to add a second image to a category. When drag & dropping, sometimes it creates a second image, sometimes it replaces the existing one.

    Also, and related to the previoius point: If I have 2 images of the same category, and I want to replace one, drag & dropping on that image sometimes replaces that one, sometimes replaces the other one and sometimes adds a 3rd.

    It all probably have to do with paths and naming of both the source and target images, but I have not been able to find how to.

    When using gallery mode, it would be better, in my opinion, to display in the big black space always the image you are selecting (right now it is always the fanart-background).

    WOW .....I was sure that there no way am surprised   THANKS CMOSS

    Edit : it works thanks but first you need to put the text files into archives

              just highlight the files & convert them all into zip or 7z files .

             thanks again

    Glad to hear it :)

    You have to zip them because you are using the "Add folder" option when importing the roms, right?. Go instead for "Add files", browse to the folder where the txt files are, and then select them all. Launchbox will identify them as games without the need of compressing them first.

  4. You can use the Community Theme Creator to generate a fake rom list of all the games of a platform (it uses the Launchbox game database). Then just import those fake rom files as roms in Launchbox. That will give you all your media.

    You need to have the platforms created in Launchbox so that the Theme Creator can see them.

    I would be grateful if more would test this theme. 3 more people could get it now. I'am considering releasing this the next weekend, but before that I need to be sure that it's working for all because I don't have the time to give support after the release.

    Count me in too!

    That's not too bad.  I'm really getting bummed that the community theme creator doesn't see the auto populated playlists so that we can batch process them.  I've spent like the last 5 days setting everything up in photoshop, and it is taking soooooooooooo long.  Mostly just organizing and bringing in all the logos and putting everything in the right spot.  But still, it is so tedious.

    The new version of the theme creator (that @y2guru is planning to release very soon) comes with support for auto-populated playlists.

    Thanks @CMOSS. From your zip, it looks like those are mainly disk boxes? Are you working on boxes for those rather than tapes? I am still looking for good Photoshop templates for both double cassette and disk boxes.

    Those are the ones that I have been able to scrape so far (from screenscraper) before reaching the daily limit of connections :) I will continue tomorrow to get as many as I can.

    The boxes that I am manually generating are only for the normal cassette (the media comes from cpcrulez). Those games without cassette covers but with either disk or double cassettes I am marking them in the excel but not working on them  (waiting for the templates). I will PM you my progress so far.

    In any case, we can always use this artwork for those games for which we cannot find any decent cassette cover. And then automate the creation of the disk boxes once you find the good template.

  8. Based on that book, yes. It is probably the most iconic game of Spain's golden era of video games development (80's mostly), with tons of amazing games and studios rivalling UK's (I'm Spanish... I played them all). Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum were our choices back then.

    PM'd. I should be able to make a list of the games. Do you use a particular romset for the CPC464? I think mine is a combination of sets that I found online.

    Thanks! I have the same... a combination of roms from different sets. I also have 6128 together with 464. No distinction.ç

    I am going to play with the template and generate a couple of boxes, to get to see how it works.

    I'll keep you posted.

    Best!

    I've started creating real-looking 3D boxes for the Amstrad CPC464. There are a lot. If anyone wants to collab on this, that would be great :)

    The process uses the box scans (mainly found at cpcrulez) and a Photoshop template. Outcome looks like this:

    I could give you a hand with this...
