You could argue that, and maybe others feel the same way, but personally I don't. It might be small, but I prefer it considerably. Plus the bluetooth mainly did it for me, as I didnt want to have to buy an extra USB adapter to use it wirelessly on my computer (even though i recently remembered I had a magic-ns, which can be used as one anyway, haha ?). Oh plus its white... I do now realise you can get other colours though. Still... the white is my favourite.

Yeah, I suspected this to be honest. I dont know whats up with my set up. Its furiatingly annoying. I just don't seem to be able to get consisten results out of ePSXe. I managed to get it to work fine recently on two computers, but then testing it on another its just keeps stuttering. Its so annoying. i figured it might be my portable HDD. So I will try the SSD when it comes. The interesting thing is it seems to be alittle better on my other portable HDD. It might be failing, although I just today wiped it and error checked it but no problems. We'll see soon enought though I guess. In regards to compressed files though?

I noticed you didn't have an option for Xbox One S controller, which I must say is an improvment to the Xbox One controller in my opinion.

is .GC a compressed file format? I just purchased a SSD drive purely for this. It should arrive tomorrow... I am hoping for some speed ups. Especially with ePSXe as I have been having some issues with it which I think may be caused by my current HDD. I'll let you know on my experience... I'd be interested to know yours too?... So is this what happens with .GC files? also what other files whould this do this with, just so I can maximise the life of my SSD by avoiding these sort of files?

Hey, so I have just tried this on a 3rd computer and the problem has returned. It is noticeably faster (but not by much). I tried doing the exact same thing as earlier but it doesn’t seem to help this time. How do you make sure it comes out at 50hz? This issue is is so annoying, why can’t it just work ?

So it seems @neil9000 you was right, I think it was putting out 60hz, even though it said 50/50 on the framecounter. @Retro808 I knew it was on 1x, but thought id try higher to see if it stutters the same, and low and behold it didn't. More interestingly, when I put it back to 1x, it was slower than normal but I didn't get even one stutter and I played a few levels (normally it would have stuttered at least 10x by this time), and these are levels I would always play to test this issue as it always seemed to be over certain jumps. So this seems to have fixed the issue for me, however there must be some kind of bug in the emulator for this to have happened I would think? It a little pain, as I am trying to make a completely portable set up on a SSD USB Thumbdrive, but this emulator has definatley given me the most issues of all. Oh well, hopefull the developer will soon release some bug fixes for this and maybe even make this emulator portable for the community. @neil9000 & @Retro808 thanks for all your help so far. If I have a problem again ill update this post. Thanks ??

Yeah thats what I assumed. I thought initially if it was an disk read issue, but I can run ps2 and GC games fine without issues, I dont know why this happens with this so often? A little annoying? I have however ordered a SSD for different purposes, I will test it on that once it arrives. Hopefully that may imporve things a little...

So just tested it, and its definatley playing as 50hz. Its interesting though, when it does freeze once it comes back to normal the framcounter does pick it up but, whilst its frozen the frame counter is too... not sure if that maybe points to an issue?

Im not sure, how would I check? Also would this cause the game to keep freezing now and then before resuming, along with the sound?

The original Crash Bandicoot PAL, seems to be the one with most issues, but also Spiderman 1 PAL

Hey guys, So I have been using ePSXe 2.0.5, on windows for a little while now, but annoyingly with certain games it just keeps breifly freezing and the sound will loop for a few seconds, but then will return to normal again after. This keeps happeneing and is begining to be quite frustrating in certain games. Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution by any chance?

I still dont get my issue Im having though, its proper wierd. One minute it was fine and all of a sudden it weren't. When was this introduced?

Im really confused haha, I know for sure at least I was using button 3 to play on my controller (Button X on xbox one controller) that has stopped working though, even though it is assigned in settings. It still works exactly how it used to in BigBox, but LaunchBox it stopped working all of a sudden.

So any ideas at all? it was working fine before, but not now?

In light of the recent news of a famous gaming youtuber (Desmond Daniel Amofah, aka Etika), who seems to have recently commited suicide, I just want to start this thread to open up a channel for anyone who may need a little help. Hey there, Now this feels like a massive noob question, but one that has me puzzled. So I have pretty much set up all nicley my Launchbox, but for some reason all of a sudden the enter key on my keyboard no longer immediatley boots games and equally the button that would have done this in the past on my Xbox One S controller, is also behaving the same way? Any ideas at all? I looked into auto mapping and buttons, but i cant seem to find a reason as to why this happened all of a sudden?
