I think it's wifi. These are wireless drives, with a built in battery, you can access the drive from a number of devices at the same time. There are wifi thumb drives as well

If one really would need the full Mame experience on the go ( alongside many other systems offcourse ), maybe something like a wifi hard drive would be a possible solution ?

Maybe in the future Launchbox can be used with a network drive or something. I'll probably won't copy all the games to my phone then. I got myself a merged 0.213 set. So I'll put that in my pc Launchbox program.
-
So if I where to have some 500gb of Mame goodness, what is the best way to play it from a portable drive then, because my phone holds only 128gb internally and another 128gb with my sd card, so nowhere near the 500+ gb required.
-
Ok, thanks for the info. What is the best mame version I should download then ?
-
So between an old mame set and the latest mame set, the only difference is the number of total games ? I've used mame4droid in the past, but everybody seems to want to use the latest set, so the difference must be huge.

Will we be able to choose between box front art and 3D box art soon ?

I haven't tried it again, but I will post an update if I get it working. I can always ceate a new export if I can't get it working by editing the xml file.
-
Ok, I'll try, but I'm pretty sure everything is ok. Otherwise I would have noticed it in other programs if my screen was "overscanned" too much, I think.

Hello, thanks for this great theme. I've noticed some sort of RSS feed at the top of my screen, but it only is half of the text I'm seeing. How can this be fixed ? Is there some sort of aspect ratio setting or something ? Thanks in advance. Soxbrother

Ok. I did edit the xml on my pc with the regular notepad, but I'll try again with notepad++. Thanks for the info.

What is the best solution when you have imported a system and there are a few missing images ? The few missing images are there in the pc app, but are missing in the Android app. I've manually added them and edited the xml file, but then it says the xml is corrupted and the system isn't loaded. So I've copied the original xml back in place. Maybe you have to edit the xml with a special program for it not to get corrupted ? I was editing the xml with notepad. Thanks in advance.

I'd like to ask if it will be possible later on, to change the order in which the systems/consoles/handhelds appear ? Right now the order is : Game Boy - Game Boy Advance - Game Boy Color I'd like it to be : Game Boy - Game Boy Color - Game Boy Advance So more like a chronological order, maybe on a per system basis, instead of alphabetical like it is now.

Also I have a few images missing in my Android Launchbox app, but they are present in my Launchbox PC app. Edit 3 : After adding the images, they didn't show up, so I've investigated it further inside the xml file and I've edited the xml with the missing details, but now when I start Launchbox it says my xml file is corrupted and it can't load that platform. So I've copied the original xml file back in place. I'll try to export again and before I copy it, make sure everything is there I guess.

On the Game Boy emulator setting page it says "Default core", then the name of the core, I think it was Sameboy or something. Does this mean, that the default core, is the best core possible for Game Boy ?

Thanks for the info. That leaves the question, is there a simple way to set-up my new Retroarch, exactly like the 64 version ? Maybe by copying some config files from the 64 version to the new Retroarch version ? Thanks in advance.

So I've exported 2 systems to my Launchbox and when I try to play a game it takes me to the playstore to install Retroarch, but I already have Retroarch64 installed. Why can't I use retroarch64 ?
-
Thanks for the info. I'm going to do that shortly

I've only just begun with LaunchBox and last week I've bought a premium membership for BigBox. I've added "Game Boy" to Launchbox and exported for Android, this all worked fine. My question, can I just add another platform easily besides the already exported "Game Boy" ? Or does it give any problems if you export 1 platform at a time ? Probably best to export everything at once ? Thanks.

Hello Jason, I've got it working !!! I've made a hotkey for exiting retroarch, inside the hotkey settings in retroarch and when I use this hotkey, it takes me back to the Launchbox menu !!!!!!!!!
-
So you choose all the games you want accross all the platforms and then create a playlist from that. Then it comes available in the Favorites tab or something. That would be cool.
-
What exactly do you mean by playlist ?

I've managed to get it working from my SD card, by copying the app to my SD card from within Android Settings. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget to copy the "LaunchBox" folder from the internal storage to your SD card ( in the right location, you know where !! ) !!!!!!!!!!! (this is because the settings app only copies the app over to the SD card, not our LaunchBox package) Don't forget to delete the LaunchBox folder from your internal storage after you've copied it over to your SD card, otherwise you have 2 packages in 2 locations, we don't want that do we ? LOL After a new installation of the Android app : Step 1 : Move the app to your SD card from within the Android settings app Step 2 : Create your package from within the windows app of Launchbox Step 3 : Copy the newly created "Android" folder on your pc to the root of your SD Card When it says the folder already exist, just continue, don't worry about that. Step 4 : Start LaunchBox on Android and enjoy !!!

Hello, when you choose Android export, you eventually have to choose between 2 options, 1) Copy the files over to your device via usb 2) Copy the files manually When you choose the first option, you can then click on the browse button, this presents you with a popup error box, which says : (Inner Exception) Kan COM-object van het type Shell32.ShellClass niet converteren naar interfacetype Shell32.IShellDispatch6. Deze bewerking is mislukt doordat de QueryInterface-aanroep voor het COM-onderdeel voor de interface met IID {286E6F1B-7113-4355-9562-96B7E9D64C54} is mislukt door de volgende fout: Interface wordt niet ondersteund (Uitzondering van HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)). When you choose to manually export the package, on the next screen you get this message : The export package folder will contain a folder names "LaunchBox". Simply copy this LaunchBox folder over to the root of your Android device's internal or SD card storage. This is clearly not the way you should be doing it at all. You should copy the whole Android folder, not just the "LaunchBox" folder. Off course you could copy only the LaunchBox folder, but then it still wouldn't be placed in the root of your device. The "LaunchBox folder, should go inside Android->data->com.unbrokensoftware.launchbox->files, like you said. So maybe in the next beta of the windows version, this text could be altered.
