  1. Awesome, thank you! I'll check these out
  2. Posting here that I have uploaded the startups and shutdowns file, please see the first post to download.
  3. What are your wheel edits? I'm having a very hard time getting wheel settings to look good, my wheel looks more like a bump than a proper curve
  4. ok, I'll upload here, thanks for the feedback
  5. It was this site... https://www.launchbox-app.com/themes How come everyone's just kinda quittin their efforts?.... I've seen this on HS (I know why that happened though), but I'm seeing it on here too. I mean maybe There's plenty of movement in this community and I'm just not seeing it...but the emu community as a whole just doesn't seem as bustling anymore.
  6. So I've been using the community theme creator for a few months, and so far, I am liking it for creating things from the ground up, but when it comes to importing another theme to edit, I'm not having much luck. I looked at the video from 'unbroken software' (link below) and the video indicates that it is just a simple import and you can start editing..... I do not have that experience. I'm trying to modify the 'unified' theme for my own customizations. I have freshly downloaded the unified theme from the downloads section and placed it in the "My Theme Projects" folder, I am able to see the theme in community theme creator...but I see nothing otherwise (screenshot). Is there something I can do to get this to display to make my own customizations?
  7. Soooo, this has been sitting in "Pending approval status for a few days now....not sure what to do other than just wait, this is my first upload to the site.
    request themes for ... kst25 Ktmnt3 Ktmnt2 Ktmntbb Ktopgun2
  8. Sort of a goof, but I had an idea for a blockbuster platform theme for games that I don't know what to do with that don't have enough media to support it's own category.
  9. Not at all. I understand and appreciate the effort, Something like this would be useful to me.
  10. Opening a support URL for the Startup screen collection. *Update* Uploading directly to this forum post for testing. Please see the included systems below. The only issue I have personally ran into is with Atari Jaguar CD where the Box art will load on the opposite side of the screen... I believe this has to do with my personal settings in BigPEMU and is not because the startup screen is configured improperly, else, lemme know if anything else comes up. Samples: Installation: Unzip file into the "..\Launchbox\StartupThemes\" Within Launchbox or Bigbox, set the startup theme to Startups and Shutdowns. Should be good to go from there. 11. Platform Category possible? I.e. Capcom Classics, irem classics, namco classics, etc. I would use a list like this to parse against zip files and put them in their own artwork folders in mame.
  12. Well...that worked, actually. I still don't understand, but I'll take it.
  13. Then it doesn't make any sense to me why having the -localdata parameter present doesn't work and not having it does work...the opposite should be true. My default command line options were %romfile% -localdata.....so what else could be wrong if having -localdata flag should be present? Do I have a bad profile within the bigpemu emulator that is not set up correctly?
  14. At one point the bios was not set and it still didn't run...odd that your's just works. I don't know if you did the LB installation of bigpemu.... I didn't I had a seperate install of bigpemu and added it to LB. Glad yours gave you less trouble than mind did.
  15. I'm a devops engineer...that's a canned response for ' i don't know how, and I don't want to dig into it'. Retroarch although highly appreciated for it's consolidation efforts, is a polished reverse engineering effort....just calling it what it is. I love retroarch in it's seemingly endless capabilities...but it seems that in almost every juggernaut gaming platform, there always seems to be 1-5 things that are a reoccurring thing that no one has the ingenuity to fix. If i had the skills and knowhow, I would certainly try. Linux users have always poopoo'd windows users since the dawn of systems and it largely speaks to why windows sucks so much now and has an odd amount of overreach...because microsoft is no longer controlled by windows users...it's controlled by linux users and a good marketing team that are tolerating windows and filling in a position..........but that's another discussion altogether.
  16. Ok, I've taken my best shot at setting up BigPemu up for Atari Jaguar CD and not having much luck. The best that I can get it to do is display the RSOD... I have atari Jaguar set up and working just fine...it's CD that I am having issues with. Here are my Settings in BigPEmu Here are my settings in Launchbox....If i 'uncheck' extract rom to temp folder, then It simply loads to the settings menu in bigpemu Screenshot of bios and emu, this is located seperate from launchbox on the same drive (location of the emu shouldn't matter....) Blue lighting bin/cue format Screenshot of zipped rom files... These files are located on a network drive I will note that If i place an extracted zip in a folder and place that folder in the BigPemu folder and open up BigPemu and play the cue file from there, that the game DOES work...So at this point I'm at a loss because I thought that extracting the zip into a temp folder and loading the game through launchbox was the same behavior as that. Any Help is appreciated. THEORY: I suspect that BigPemu doesn't know where to look for the temp extracted rom...how can I tell bigPemu where the extracted rom is and to load the cue file in the directory of that temp extracted rom? (I thought that's what the Default Command-Line Parameter "%romfile% -localdata" was supposed to do, if "Extract ROM Archives before running" is checked, but that appears not to be true...or there is a disconnect between where launchbox knows the rom is and where it's telling BigPemu to look for the extracted rom...if that's even happening at all.) *Update* Ok, interesting find almost immediately after making this post... apparently having "-localdata" in the default command-line parameters causes Atari Jaguar CD to be problematic with loading for some reason, the documentation defines This argument as... -localdata Reads/writes all user data (configuration, saved states, screenshots, etc.) in a local (next to executable) "UserData" directory instead of the OS-dependent path. I don't know EXACTLY what that means and why it seems to matter, but after removing the flag, Atari jaguar CD's were able to load.... I did have to set my resolution and proper display screen to use...again...which indicates that it's using separate profiles for atari Jaguar and atari jaguar CD, otherwise, this has been solved. I hope that this helps someone in the future figure out why atari jaguar CD's are not able to load.
  17. I didn't really want to do it that way, but until there's a separate core for ws color, then i don't really see any other way unless someone has a better idea. Retroarch desperately needs a settings per core entity option; i.e. if a core contains the ability to play genesis, SMS, SG-1000 and game gear games, then I should have the ability to make shaders and settings for each of those things within a single core, ...it's a glaringly obvious issue in the RA community that it really is work worth doing.
  18. Thanks for the reply, I haven't FULLY dug into the bezel project to find out what all it can/can't do, but there is a convenience factor that I like about it. I'm particular about my setup and like to know how/what things are doing. I ended up 'biting the bullet' and scripting out configs for each wonderswan color game because it seems that beetle wonderswan is THE ONLY core that emulates both... I don't like having to do it that way becaus ei feel like it may risk things being unmanagable down the road, but fortunately the config is pretty simple to recreate if everything completely shits the bed. happy to share it out. This is done in powershell. The slangblock also turns off that dumbass intro sequence... I don't mind it for consoles, but it doesn't make sense to have a fuzzy TV intro for handhelds. $romdirectory = '{your full rom path here}\*' $zipextension = ".7z" $Fullpath = $romdirectory + $zipextension $Retroarchfolderpath = "{your retroarchfolder path here}" $Slangblock = @' #reference ":/shaders/Mega Bezel_Packs/Duimon-Mega-Bezel/Presets/Advanced/Bandai_WonderSwan_Color/WonderSwan_Color-[ADV]-[LCD-GRID].slangp" HSM_INTRO_WHEN_TO_SHOW = "0.000000" '@ # Split into individual lines $filenames = (Get-ChildItem -Path $Fullpath ).BaseName foreach ($filename in $filenames) { $Slangblock|set-content -Path "$Retroarchfolderpath\config\Beetle WonderSwan\$filename.slangp" } The end result is pretty sweet, I have been testing out random games, but have not found any that are vertical orientation yet, they will need to be corrected to vertical orientation if found.
  19. cool source....I notice they're missing Raiden on Atari Lynx though.... I wish there was more 'sources of truth' like this for platform systems out there.
  20. I've reached a point where i don't know whether to zig or zag and I thought of stopping and asking for suggestions before I do anything. I just got done setting up my Wonderswan setup in Retroarch including bezels, backgrounds, shaders overlays saving shaders on horizontal and vertical games as needed and for the most part it's accurate. Now I move on to Wonderswan color and happen to notice that it uses the same core.... Which technically means that that base configurations are just not an option because wonderswan is using them. So my options (as far as I am aware) are... Find an alternate core for wonderswan color Script out unique configurations on a PER GAME basis for ALL GAMES in Wonderswan color (I am fully capable of this, but this option seems like a very cumbersome solution) Find a core splitter to split the mednafen_wswan_libretro.dll core so that I can have configurations for wonderswan and wonderswan color without conflict.... Or lastly, some other alternative solution I a haven't thought of yet. Any help or suggestion here is welcome. Here's some screenshots of my wonderswan setup if it's inspirational, I am basically using just the mega bezel shader for wonderswan with custom backgrounds, typically i use a combination of megabezel and overlays....
  21. wrong....yes...yes it is for everyone Thank you for sharing
