  1. @faeran I've been looking into some complaints with ThirdScreen and LaunchBox 14+. It looks like the plugin library is no longer returning the correct value from PluginHelper.StateManager.GetSelectedPlatform() in all cases. Specifically, when using LaunchBox, after selecting any platform or playlist, GetSelectedPlatform() always returns null for the first game you select from that platform or playlist. This is only happening with LaunchBox, not BigBox. @Light Gun Lunatics @andyco47 @jonnieboyrevel, please try v6.0.4 of the plugin. I have worked around the issue as best I can for now.
  2. @Rimpy69 The latest version (6.0.3) should now work with the latest LaunchBox Beta.
  3. @atalec That is not the latest version of LaunchBox. You'll either need to update LaunchBox or you could try an earlier version of ThirdScreen (5.0.13 would probably work).
  4. Are you using the latest version of LaunchBox and do you have a paid license (I might be wrong but I don't think you can use plugins with the free version).
  5. Hi @atalec. This plugin no longer works with the latest versions of LaunchBox/BigBox. You can use the ThirdScreen plugin instead.
  6. If you mean the plugin manager, it's not going to show up there. When you right click a game in launchbox do you see the CLI launcher menu item? If not, what version of launchbox are you using?
  7. @zeoboromir You'll get that error if you are missing ThirdScreenSupportLib.dll. Please make sure you have all of the files exactly as they are laid out in the zip file.
  8. Version 6.0.1 is now available. It adds updating of marquees when launching/exiting games from BigBox's new platform hybrid view.
  9. Hybrid view isn't working correctly for me. If I exit out of game view into platform hybrid view, whatever game I had selected is now the only one that launches when I select any of the recently played games. See attached video where I had Omega Race selected, backed out to hybrid view, and then Omega Race gets launched for every recently played game I try to launch. IMG_3602.mov
  10. Right, there is no guaranteed single way to exit. Even with escape, depending on your mame version/settings you probably have to send it as direct input if you are trying to exit programmatically. Importantly there is no method to exit a game in the plugin library the same way there is for launching a game. If anyone wants the feature you should request it from the launchbox devs and they can figure out the best way to handle it. Then I'd be happy to expose it through this CLI plugin.
  11. @essence No, you can't exit a game through the command line. The reason is that there isn't a generic way to exit a game (it's always game specific how you exit).
  12. @miremare in ThirdScreen settings click the gear icon and select Disable Display Validation. Then it should work fine (even though it's detecting the display numbers differently).
  13. @boizgreg You just need to go into ThirdScreen settings, click the gear icon in the upper right, and select "Disable Display Validation". Then it should let you share the monitor with two windows like you are trying to do.
  14. When you import a game marquee video through LaunchBox, by default it just places it at: LaunchBox/Videos/<Platform Name>/Marquee/<Game Title>.<extension> You can place the videos there yourself if you don't want to import each one individually in LaunchBox. Or you can change the folder where it looks for videos by editing the platform (but that would affect all of the platform's videos, not just marquee videos): Right click the platform->Edit->Folders->Video->Browse
  15. In LaunchBox, Right click a game->Edit->Edit Metadata/Media->Videos->Add Video. Then set type to "Marquee".
  16. Make sure the marquee is disabled in bigbox settings: Options->General->Marquee Screen->None Some people have reported it having been re-enabled after updating LaunchBox.
  17. Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this, and as far as I know you are the only one reporting it. Maybe try enabling debug logging in both LaunchBox and ThirdScreen settings and then send me both log files after hanging. Also, if you need to you can manually manage platform video marquees just by placing or removing the files in the following folders: LanchBox/Videos/Platforms/Marquee/<platform name>.<extension> LanchBox/Videos/Playlists/Marquee/<playlist name>.<extension> LanchBox/Videos/Platform Categories/Marquee/<platform category name>.<extension>
  18. @andrebirn What versions of LaunchBox and the plugin are you using? Can you describe what happens and is there any error message?
  19. @Leos Lounge This is correct. You'll either need to uprage LaunchBox to 13.19+ or downgrade ThirdScreen to 5.0.13. It shouldn't matter that the drive is external.
