  1. @Kalish777 @Johnny T Version 2.0.10 is now available with a per-screen option for blur-fill background effect. It will work for static images, animated gifs, and videos. Rotating 3-D box models will still have black backgrounds. I'm liking the new feature. Thanks for the suggestion.
  2. @inemu Also, with the plugin right now you could set the display type to "Bottom 1/2 cut off". It will then only use the top half of the monitor to display media and you could put your DMD on the bottom half if that is what you are trying to do.
  3. Hi. I do have multi-panel support on my list of things to add. Essentially it would let you treat a single monitor as multiple screens each with their own set of media to display. I'm pretty sure that would cover what you want to do with showing both the game marquee and platform clear logo on one monitor. Can't promise if/when I'll get that implemented though.
  4. Unfortunately there is no way to use his theme mods directly since I'm not using xaml. I'd have to add a similar effect in the plugin... which I might do because that effect looks awesome.
  5. @gig71 Thank you! @mrbrightside80 @fruity You had also reported gifs not working for you. The issue is that you must be running LaunchBox/BigBox as an administrator for the gifs to work. I'll see if I can work around that in future versions, but for now you'll have to run it as admin. Any of the following would work: Give your user admin privileges. Right click the LaunchBox or BigBox exe and choose "Run as Administrator". Right click the LaunchBox or BigBox exe and choose Properties->Compatibility->Run this program as an administrator
  6. Thanks for the log. Can you try right-clicking LaunchBox and choose "Run as Administrator"? Then let me know if the gif marquee works.
  7. Just a heads up to anyone using an older version of the plugin. Versions 2.0.7 or earlier of the plugin might break when updating to LaunchBox version 13.1+ (or 13.1-beta-7+ if you are on beta releases). Just upgrade ThirdScreen to the latest version to avoid (or fix) the issue.
  8. @izzishor If you want to, give version 2.0.8 a try. I added an option that I think will fix your issue. In ThirdScreen settings, click the gear icon in the upper right and then choose "Ignore resolution changes". The only drawback is with that setting your marquee(s) might shift around when games change the main screen resolution. But if you are seeing that you could always try playing around with the position of your marquee screeen(s) in windows display settings. Start with the marquee to the left of the main screen.
  9. It's fixed now in version 2.0.8. It will now work with LaunchBox version 13.1+ (or 13.1-beta-7+ if you are on beta releases).
  10. Thanks for the feedback. Development was all done assuming 100% dpi. When I have time I'll add dpi scaling support.
  11. Check in your Nvidia settings also. Other than that I'm at a loss as to why it would detect an incorrect resolution.
  12. It's fixed now in version 2.0.6 of the plugin as long as you are on LaunchBox 13.1-beta-6 or higher. If you aren't running LaunchBox beta releases then you'll have to wait for the official 13.1 release.
  13. Thanks! I might steal that workaround. But I can think of a few cases that would break it. Select a game in a platform. Then select a playlist containing that game...and select that game. That would still look like a platform change instead of a game selection.
  14. Thank you for this. SelectionChanged System Events now fire when selecting platforms in LaunchBox, which is great. I do have one request though. Can the game selection be cleared out when selecting a new platform/playlist/platform category? As an example, let's say I have pac-man selected in the Arcade platform. Then I click on the Teknoparrot platform in the left sidebar. I'm now viewing the Teknoparrot platform with no games selected, so I would expect SelectedPlatform to be reported as TeknoParrot and SelectedGames to be reported as null. What actually happens is SelectedPlatform is reported as TeknoParrot and SelectedGames is still reported as pac-man.
  15. That's just the way it works in LaunchBox. The plugin hook for a platform being selected only gets called from BigBox, not from LaunchBox. So unless the LaunchBox devs change that, marquees will only show when games are selected.
  16. @fruity Thanks for the test images. They work fine on my setup (see video), but others have reported issues with animated gifs also so I'd like to get to the bottom of it. For some reason I can't download the log file you posted. Would you mind messaging it to me along with the LaunchBox debug log? Instructions for enabling LaunchBox debug logging are in the file description. IMG_9785.MOV
  17. 0x1B is correct. You should definitely uncheck "Confirmation prompt on exit". If you are still seeing the issue after that you might try removing the Esc handling from the script you have set in Launchbox for the Teknoparrot emulator. The exit game global hotkey in TP UI settings should be enough to close the games.
