  1. Yes I was, and unchecking that fixed the issue! Now that created a new issue though... My teknoparrot games no longer run full screen now and controls aren't working. Its acting as if LB isn't giving Teknoparrot main control now,, ,likely not the case but thats the perceived behavior. Any idea why unchecking "run as admin" would cause games not to launch full screen and prevent input in teknoparrot?
  2. I'll check that and report back.
  3. Hi All, I can't get my combo button on my gamepad to shutdown teknoparrot. It works on all other emulators including sega model 2 and 3. I have the following put in the the "Running Script" section of the Teknoparrot emulator settings of Launchbox: $Esc:: { WinClose, ahk_exe {{{StartupEXE}}} } This works for my other systems as stated, so wondering if anyone can shed some light. I swear it was working at one point, but maybe i got confused with another game. I'm finally down building and testing my setup and this is the last hurddle. Thanks in advance!
  4. Mame .237 is the latest liberto core though so i think we have to wait. I'm in the same boat I got some nice CHD games I can't play since they are from the .239 romset. When launching it says missing files. Stand alone mame (239) runs it fine but sick of dealing with all the issues there. Can't get it to load without disabling full screen, can't get controls to work in game even though they are mapped, list goes on.
  5. Great, that script was provided by you actually in an old thread. I really appreciate all the help!
  6. If i paste the following in that location will it tied to my combo key set by in launchbox? ; This section closes Sega Model 2 Emulator when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
  7. I guess I'm not following, as stated I'm not a script guy. So what do i need to do in LB to make my exit combo work for this emulator? Really appreciate a bit more guidance, thanks!
  8. Hi all, I got my build mostly completely with everything working for the most part. One annoying thing I"m confused on though is how to go about closing both Sega Model 2 and Model 3 emulator using a exit script. I read some old threads that provided scripts but that was for an older version of LB. When going to the exit script section of said emulator it seems like its not needed (Screenshot). However only "esc" on the keyboard exits the emulator. I want my LB and BB exit combo (Start+Select) to also exit those emulators. Is there a way to do this? I'm pretty knowledgable in computers and tech but scripting isn't one of my strengths. Thanks in advance!
  9. Looks LIke Atari 5200 has all the same games I was importing for TGfx CD. *Update* No idea why when searching Buster Bros. under console it showed up for both TGCD and Atari 5200. When looking in my atari 5200 rom folder none of those TGCD games are there. I just deleted Atari 5200 and reimported those roms and all is cleaned up now. Something odd happened.
  10. I got this to work by checking "Force Duplicate Names" in the import tool. But no idea where those were originally imported..
  11. Hi All, Hoping someone has some input to provide here as I'm lost. I'm trying to add TurboGrafx CD (pcengine cd) into launchbox as a platform. When going through teh import roms wizard I point to the directory that has the .CHD roms for this platform and it comes back with nothign to import ( i have about 30 games). I if I load the core and content manually through RA the games play fine. Any idea why LB isn't finding these roms in this folder? There are no sub directories.. (pic below)
  12. Ok got this up and running thanks again!
  13. I did, seems a bios issue or missing file per RA now, my prior comment was wrong. I'm not sure what happened since all the BIOS files are in the systems folder and haven't touched them. Question though, when creating the second emulator you can't set a default core since I already have arcades default core set to FBNEO under the main retroach emulator instance. To get around this I just left that default check box unticked when creating retroarchmame2003. Being that mame2003 core is the only one associated in that emulator will it still use it or do i need to do manually flip this for every game once imported? I really appreciate your help!
  14. Ok I got that setup thank you, that is a good workaround. Now those games wont launch though, nothing happens when i select play even though it launched fine directly in RA.
  15. Appreciate the response, but then would have to find or update the romset. I also really have all the arcade games filtered out to the ones that are worth playing. I deleted the mame folder and system and tried to add it back in under the arcade platform, and chose retroarch for emulator. I don't see anyway to change the core its using in the wizard, you can edit retroarch and put the mame2003.dll path in the command line field but then it uses that core for all arcade games again. I guess this isn't possible, but a shame. Really managing just two sets of roms isn't that big of a deal when they are broke out into two working emulators. Take mame out of the picture how do you suggest folks manage this when brining in N64 or other various platforms. There are always cores that work better with specific games and would require the same approach. Now if I add Arcade as another platform in the emulator settings, I can then use a different core (mame2003). Then move all those games into the arcade folder. Problem is each time i run a mame2003 rom I will need to right click and then choose launch with mame2003 core as FBNEO is the default for arcade. Is this really the only way to accomplish this?
  16. Screenshot of what I'm referring to. Want just "ARCADE" that includes both MAME and Arcade (FBNEO) roms. The main Arcade category seems to have been created due to both FBNEO and MAME games being scrpped as "arcade" category. I want this just not a breakout of each rom folder/platform. I could see this becoming an issue with any large rom folder that requires various differenet cores to be used. With having a platform tied to a single RA core the only way I've figured out how to overcome this is by creating multiple platforms as scene above. That bring this issue where you have more or less emulators as platforms which isn't ideal.
  17. Hello, I'm new to Launchbox and so far everything has been coming along fairly well. My OCD is kicking in now though and really want to clean up one minor issues I have. Within my Arcade section I have "Arcade and MAME". Arcade is my FBNEO roms and MAME is my MAME2003 roms. Beign they are all arcade games is there a way to merge the MAME roms into the arcade platform without changing the RA core from mame to fbneo? I know you can move them and do this by a game by game basis but that would be very painful. I tested one game and changed its platform from mame to arcade, it did move it to the folder but didn't boot as expected since the core changed and wasn't compatible with the rom.
  18. Hey sorry to bug you but you had  an old post on this thread;

    I'm trying to do the same thing (at least i think).  I have an arcade system within Launchbox, under that I have both Arcade platform (FBNEO roms) and MAME (MAME2003 roms).  Is there a way to move the "MAME" platform roms into "ARCADE" without using the FBNEO core?  I see you did this, but wouldn't changing the platform for MAME to arcade also move it over to FBNEO core and prevent those roms from then booting?

    Any feedback is appreciated.

      So you have two platforms, one called Arcade with FBNEO roms. The other platform is called MAME and it uses MAME2003 roms?

      You should be ok to move them. Launchbox keeps track of which emulator is associated with each ROM regardless of Platform. Why don't you try to move a few over and see what happens?

      I'm at work so I'm doing this from memory. I think you just right click a title in Launchbox and click edit (or select several or all titles in a platform and right click and edit) and click the Platform field (or maybe its called change platform). This will let you change the platform that rom is displayed in without changing the emulator it uses. I might be over-simplifying how to do it but that is it in a nutshell.

      You can do this the other way as well. Say you have a platform set up, lets use Nintendo64 as an example. You have it set up so all N64 roms open with Project 64. You notice a few roms don't work properly. You can set up a second emulator like Mupen64 that you know the rom works with. You go into the platform, select those roms you want to change and right click and find the edit option. Once the edit opens select the emulator field and you can change just those roms to open with Mupen64 without changing the Platform they are in.

      Not too hard. Give it a shot.

  19. I found another post on this forum where a guy just moved all his fbnero roms into a new folder and then setup the arcade system again in Launchbox. I did this and now every rom loads correctly. I have no idea why this was required but hey happy it fixed it.
  20. So what about those who have this problem but that checkbox is unticked already? RA launches the same FBNEO roms with no issues.
  21. I have this same problem but that checkbox is unchecked.
  22. Hey Guys, Hitting my head against the wall with this one. Have a non-merged FBNEO romset working 100% when loading through retroarch directly. When trying to load the game via launchbox i get "Romset is unknown" error. I have "unzip before loading" unchecked in the emulator setting within Launchbox.
