  1. Very cool plugin really great to be able to call on launchbox from outside. However I'm wondering would it be possible to launch your game by using the the location or game ID perhaps. I can understand it may not be everyone's preference but with the current way of launcing you can't launch alternative apps/versions such as megaman 2 vs. rockman 2. Also if you used an ID and or file location it wouldn't be necessary to call on a specific playlist/platform but perhaps that's exactly the reason why it's not possible now ...
  2. Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I think this might be a bug or perhaps I'm trying to achieve something impossible. If I wanted to first show a fanart image in a big box theme and then automatically play a video in say 6 seconds after showing the fanart there's a sort of bug. If you launch the game when the video is already started it will pause the video nicely as is probably intended. However if you were to already launch the game before that six second window Big Box will still start playing the video even after the game was already launched. This will cause the sound of the video to play in the background of the game and is quite annoying. I've tried changing the timing with storyboards but so far I haven't found a good fix for this yet. Does anyone have any ideas on to deal with this?
  3. Pretty cool plugin! A bit surprised it's not used more. Would it be possible to attribute some other keys to activate the wheel. Escape is a bit confusing and if the wheel is visible on the top or bottom anyway it makes sense to be able to access it by using the up or down key.
  4. Sorry to also dig up this old thread again but I think I'm trying to describe a similar effect as mentioned here. To better explain if I were in a games view and wanted two fanarts "crossfading" into each other how would this be achieved? As mentioned the usual way themes go about this is by using a storyboard changing the opacity transition to 0 and loading the new one to opacity 1. However as mentioned above that leaves with a somewhat ugly and undesirable way of nicely fading two images over into each other. What you'll get is a brief moment where you just have to look at your empty/black/static background. So what you'll want to get is the new image fading on top of the old dynamically loaded image. I have looked at other themes for "inspiration" but so far most themes either have that full fade to 0 opacity leaving no/black background or they use different type of transitions. This could be a WPF limitation though. Also I'm trying this by editing the xaml files directly.
  5. Yeah I can understand it is a bit odd. For me I started using the colourful theme that also uses the fixed 4:3 ratio on the side and I think it just crops from the center it's a little distracting at first but I got used to it. Still I like this theme better
  6. I've recently bought launchbox and have tried lots of different themes in the last few weeks but this definitely my favorite. The subtle and perfect use of all available art is brilliantly implemented! Just perfect! I did have one question as I've been following this themes development I noticed in your earlier mockups that you use a larger video/screenshot area as shown in this mockup: Is there any reason why you didn't implement it in the end but chose to go for a smaller square? Of course it's not ideal considering aspect ratio but I quite liked this look.
