  1. It could be a permissions issue. The built-in PDF reader has some weird issues with paths and permissions. This is a known issue that I plan to address.
  2. Thanks, this is fixed for the next beta, related to LaunchBox.Next.
  3. Videos are automatically parsed out if they exist with the right file name in the right folder. This is so you can just copy them over and LaunchBox will automatically pick them up, so this is by design.
  4. There's a setting to use the built-in PDF reader in Big Box. It sounds like maybe that's not working? I'm not sure why that would be but you can turn it off in the options.
  5. You probably just need the latest service pack for Windows 7.
  6. It's hard to tell if those are the correct files, but if you got them from the links in the first post, then they're correct.
  7. Feel free to help out @Cauptain. Just make sure to read all the instructions at the beginning of this topic as there are a few gotchas. Thank you much.
  8. I think there is probably some new stuff @Kondorito, so if possible it would be good to review.
  9. Ctrl+F has already been implemented, but thanks for the reminder on Show Version.
  10. This actually doesn't exist in the original LaunchBox, but I agree that we need it, so I'll probably get something like that in there relatively soon. LaunchBox doesn't resize boxes any differently than .Next; the only difference is that it centers them vertically above the text, so it's not so obvious how they differ in size. We might provide some similar options since I believe it's been a relatively common request.
  11. Yes, if I understand what you're saying correctly, you do have to download metadata in order to download media.
  12. Just put out beta 14 that seems to fix that error. I'm not sure exactly what happened to be honest, but I think it was somehow just an issue with the compile or deploy. You should be able to update from regular LaunchBox if LaunchBox.Next isn't working. Sorry for the trouble there guys.
  13. Odd. Is anyone able to use beta 13 successfully?
  14. @CliveBarker @AFaustini @Wattoo @Opak @dukeemu @cyanjiang @Bardock @MajKSA@gamehacker
  15. It's that time again guys; as always, I am so very grateful for your help. I think the translation updates should be fairly light this time around. All should be updated in the translation downloads; I'm hoping to put out the official 8.3 release on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thank you all very much.
  16. Sorry I never followed up @Kondorito, but I did get these into a beta a while back. Not sure if you had already figured that out or not.
  17. Putting out beta 13 guys for the translators. Sorry for the double-punch.
  18. Makes sense @Lordmonkus. Just to clarify, this thread is strictly for features that are in the original LaunchBox that are missing from LaunchBox.Next. If you're heartbroken because something doesn't match the original LaunchBox (like Monkus is above), we will consider tackling that as well. However, let's keep new feature and configuration requests at bay for the moment (stuff that's not in the original LaunchBox).
  19. Hello all! As of LaunchBox 8.4-beta-11, the following features are all that we know is left to implement in LaunchBox.Next in order to be feature-complete with the original LaunchBox: Custom spacing options (with # of text lines too) These features will definitely be implemented before LaunchBox is replaced by LaunchBox.Next. As of 7/18/2018 and 8.4-beta-12, every feature on the list has been implemented! However, if you are aware of additional missing features, please let us know in this thread.
  20. Alright, beta 12 is out now with the following implemented in LaunchBox.Next: Drag and drop Performance improvements for arrow key navigation Fixed an update error message for poor connections Ctrl+F now works to jump to the search box Double-click now only works to launch games if you actually double-click on a game (instead of the scrollbar for example) Fixed another potential VLC error Fixed some threading bugs Fixed an issue with no boxes being displayed when the form is resized (scrolling issue) Fixed arrow key navigation not always displaying the full box item Custom fonts These are the only remaining items before I'm considering LaunchBox.Next to be feature-complete with LaunchBox: Pressing a letter key to jump to items Custom spacing options Music playback Controllers & controller automation I've actually already started on controllers & controller automation, but it's very extensive so it's not included in this beta. I may end up putting out the next official release before all of the above four features get implemented, depending on how quickly I can get them done. Regardless, the end is in sight.
  21. It was just a rare, random error. I believe I had seen it once before myself as well.
  22. I just implemented Ctrl+F for the next beta. If the side bar is hidden, it just re-shows it for now.
  23. That's an odd one. Do you run your LaunchBox installation on multiple machines and sync between them? There's a setting in Settings.xml called SideBarSize, if you make that smaller, that should resolve the issue, but I don't know how it would have gotten large in the first place. What is that value set to in the XML?
