  1. @RenniG Dolphin does seem to be working fine for us, but after playing with GameCube and Wii for a while on Android, it's clear that Dolphin MMJR from here is a much better choice because performance is much better: https://github.com/Bankaimaster999/Dolphin-MMJR/releases/tag/1.0-11505 So I would recommend installing that APK instead.
  2. FYI y'all, we're adding support for Yaba Sanshiro 2 and Yaba Sanshiro 2 Pro in LaunchBox for Android 1.3-beta-3, which should be out shortly. However, unfortunately they do not work to launch games on Android 11+. This is because (at least as far as we can tell), the developer just hasn't added support for launching games with the new required storage access framework features on Android 11+.
  3. Thanks, they are in alphabetical order for the moment. Eventually we're hoping to add an Edit Metadata option for platforms, which would allow you to use a Sort Title to reorder them as you wish. Unfortunately that's not implemented yet though.
  4. Ah, I see. Okay, thanks. That makes sense.
  5. Thanks for clarifying @alexirae. That is all good information. I would like to add Dolphin MMJR2 to the emulators list (so that folks don't have to use the custom parameters), but for whatever reason, the parameters posted aren't working for me. It looks to me like the package name is wrong. Can you check your device and re-confirm that all of the settings are correct? It's also possible that those settings worked for an earlier version of MMJR2, but not the latest.
  6. FYI, these settings do NOT work in my testing. Not sure why they're posted here, but maybe they were posted incorrectly? Regardless, Dolphin MMJR is indeed newer than Dolphin MMJR2, so it's recommended to use Dolphin MMJR. The built-in settings in the latest versions of LaunchBox for Android are working fine for me in my testing.
  7. Regardless, though, even though we added support for CPS1, 2, and 3, it's not necessary to import them, as they are included in the MAME Arcade set. Eventually we will be adding support for the arcade playlists like we have on the desktop, which will be a much better solution than importing the CPS platforms individually. So unless you are super-eager to import CPS platforms separately, I would recommend just using them in Arcade and waiting for the arcade playlists to be implemented.
  8. @RooKie123 Admittedly that step takes forever when importing CPS. I ran a test myself yesterday and it took around an hour or so, but it does go through.
  9. Do make sure that Dolphin on Android supports CHD. Might be worth testing one file before converting your entire set. (Just because I've been bit by that issue before on other platforms.)
  10. There is unfortunately a known issue with extracting files that are too large, especially on lower-end devices like the Shield. Unfortunately ROMs for disc-based systems will need to be uncompressed at this point. There are other options as well, though, like using CHD files, PBP files (PSP), or WBFS files (which should work well for GameCube). Those types of files are compressed, but don't have to be decompressed before launching them. It can admittedly be tricky to convert your ROMs to those formats though.
  11. We've tested this extensively, so we'll need more information about what isn't working.
  12. @8bitp1xelz Just released a beta that should fix this issue:
  13. Not sure what exactly you're referring to there, but yes, the beta is available to anyone. Yes, you will still be prompted to update automatically.
  14. LaunchBox for Android 1.3-beta-2 is out now with the following: Added a new option to "Quit RetroArch on Losing Focus" to the platform emulator settings; this option will help to ensure that new games will be launched properly even if a previous game is still running in RetroArch. However, it will also prevent games from resuming when the screen is turned off, if this setting is turned on. Fixed a crash when trying to download missing media with no connection Fixed the issue with AetherSX2 not working for Android versions 10 and earlier (not sure how early of a version AetherSX2 supports though) Let us know if you run into any issues. We may be putting out a bug fix/quality of life official release here soon.
  15. Actually, anyone can use the beta. Just go into the Options and check the box to update to beta releases, then fully exit and restart to be prompted to update.
  16. @RenniG Apparently @faeran tested and is able to launch WBFS files just fine. What version of Android are you running and what device are you using?
  17. @RenniG Somehow there's an issue launching WBFS files with Dolphin. We're not positive, but it might be a bug with the emulator. It should work fine to launch ISO files, but this is not the first time that we've seen this with WBFS files. If you can report the bug to the Dolphin team, that would be best.
  18. Everyone we've talked to previously (that has responded) has said that everything works fine after they download the sideloaded version of RetroArch. Are you sure you just didn't forget to download the cores? I ask, because I've done that on accident myself. I don't know what else the problem could be.
  19. @woody Ideally, you would not use that folder, and you should put the LaunchBox folder in the root of your SD card instead. The problem with using that folder is that emulators may not be able to access files in that folder. I don't have that particular device, though, but I don't trust that everything should work when you put everything in that folder. The way that you would point LaunchBox to use those files though, is via Options > Data Folder.
  20. FYI all, the latest beta for LaunchBox for Android now works to launch games with AetherSX2. We had to use a terrible hack, but it works. Hopefully Tahlreth doesn't choose to disable it in the future.
  21. Thanks for the report. We changed the way we launch RetroArch for the 1.2 release in order to fix the issue of launching a game after a previous game was launched and RetroArch hasn't exited (it would just show the previous game instead of the newly launched game). It sounds like this is a side effect of that. I'll probably add an option in the emulator settings to choose which functionality you want for the next release.
  22. Thanks guys, this issue should be fixed in the new beta I just put out: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/62596-launchbox-for-android-new-version-beta-testing/?do=findComment&comment=412994
  23. LaunchBox for Android 1.3-beta-1 is out now with the following: The AetherSX2 emulator for Sony Playstation 2 is now fully supported and will launch games! However, you will need to open up the emulator first and let it scan your PS2 ROMs folder in order for it to have access to your ROMs. Added a new option to the MAME imports to skip games that require a CHD file; this is ideal for mobile devices because the CHD files increase the ROM set space requirements from 66 gigs to roughly 500 gigs, and only around 120 games actually require a CHD, so it's usually better to omit the CHDs for mobile devices that run MAME Games are now sorted more similarly to how they are in the desktop apps, ignoring articles like "The", "A", and "An" M3U playlists are now used for games with multiple discs (to allow for easy disc switching) when launching RetroArch with the following cores: duckstation, swanstation, mednafen_psx_hw, mednafen_psx Fixed errors importing Capcom Play System, Capcom Play System II, and Capcom Play System III Thank you all for the feedback and testing.
  24. Can you send me a screenshot of your CPS files? Are they in MAME format?
  25. What do your ROMs look like for the CPS games? Are they MAME-style? I'm gonna go ahead with the Android 1.2 release, and we'll probably have to get this fixed for a later beta.
