  1. There is an old version that actually does work, but it takes decades of tinkering to get it working, and performance is not great. Check the Linux section of the forums for details.
  2. It sounds like you have an old version of it from an early beta. You should just delete the theme folder for The Grid while LaunchBox is closed and it will replace it when you start it back up.
  3. Currently you can do this via the Export to Android process on the desktop. We can add ways in the future to pick up new media, but there's currently no reason why you have to re-scrape everything if you have a collection already on the desktop.
  4. If we want LaunchBox on iOS, we need to pray that Apple gets sued into being forced to allow sideloading apps on non-jailbroken phones, like Android. I am confident that if that happens, the emulation community will thrive on iOS devices. For what it's worth, the way we've built LaunchBox for Android, it would be relatively easy to port it to iOS. But of course it's not worth any effort if it only works on jailbroken devices. One last point: the ethics behind Apple's decisions to lock you into their ecosystem should be enough to convince folks not to use an Apple iOS device.
  5. Yes, we'll get that in the Android release eventually.
  6. Sorry for the late reply. Exporting to Android has an option to extract them permanently on export, yes. I would just do that for now.
  7. Drastic should be fixed in the latest Android release. Sorry for the late reply.
  8. It actually should work regardless of file names, now that we have the integration of The Bezel Project. As long as the ROMs import properly, and you use either MAME or a supported RetroArch core (any platform), it will work.
  9. Thanks for the report. I'll fix this for a future build.
  10. If we were to put out a LaunchBox OS, of course we would base it on an existing version of Linux, so hopefully hardware compatibility wouldn't be all-consuming. That said, this is just a pipe dream for the moment. Native Linux development is still in the cards, but unfortunately we're stuck waiting on better software development support in a number of areas before that can really happen.
  11. Yeah, that's a cool idea, but no, unfortunately Windows does not make this possible.
  12. LaunchBox for Android 1.4-beta-4 is out now with the following: A new Recently Played filter is available in all filters lists that shows all your recently played games (though it will only show games that you play with this new version going forward since previous versions weren't tracking game plays) New settings for Show All Games Filters and Show Recently Played Filters are available in the Options menu A new setting to Include Non-Game Android Apps is available in the Options menu The Options page has been organized with categories to make it much easier to navigate Image fading is now smoother and doesn't flicker on the edges Fixed an issue where native Android game metadata and media changes were not saving Fixed an issue where some old and/or miscategorized Android games were not importing on startup
  13. I believe the same BIOS works on both Windows and Android. That's pretty much what I did. Do make sure you're running the sideloaded version of RetroArch and not the Play store version.
  14. LaunchBox for Android 1.4-beta-3 is out now with the following: Fixed issues launching Nintendo DS games with the DraStic emulator Reverted the home screen support due to it causing issues with Dex and possibly other environments
  15. Regardless, let's see if we can figure out the issue @kiler1500. Do you happen to have any logs available in your LaunchBox\Logs folder (that will depend on whether you had debug logs turned on). Since a fresh install works properly, most likely it's a data issue. Can you zip up and PM me your LaunchBox\Data folder?
  16. If you had permissions issues before, you will still have permissions issues. Nothing was changed in that regard. Devices *shouldn't* have any permissions issues at this point, but there are some devices that have faulty versions of Android, unfortunately. Requests noted.
  17. You do need a BIOS file on Android for Neo Geo CD. Did you install the BIOS file to RetroArch?
  18. Yes, it should. We built it for our own use, so that we could use the export tool from the desktop app, but then put the LaunchBox folder on internal storage and the ROMs on external storage. Yes, you can store everything on the SD card if you want. I'm not sure what you're referring to as "the only viable option".
  19. I would appreciate if we could have more civil discussions over things like this. We had no intentions of affecting that aspect of the app (Dex support). The fact that it's a problem at all is an Android shortcoming. Most likely we will revert that change, because we use Dex occasionally ourselves, and the home launcher support is not a feature that I feel like we should prioritize anyways.
  20. Yes, in the settings there is an option for Default Secondary Filter. Set that to None, and that should do what you're looking for.
  21. LaunchBox for Android 1.4-beta-2 is out now with the following: All games views will now remember the previously selected game A new option to select a random game has been added to the top menu of games views A new option to change the ROMs folder path for a particular platform has been added to the top menu of games views LaunchBox can now optionally be used as the home screen for your device (you can choose your home screen app in your device's Default Apps settings); however, we don't currently recommend it because of Android's shortcomings with exiting games/emulators and the inability to launch non-game applications
  22. Sorting by community rating should already be possible in beta 1. However, it does require that the game has at least 5 community ratings before the rating is used (otherwise, one person's random rating would affect the sorting).
  23. LaunchBox for Android 1.4-beta-1 is out now with the following: All games views can now be sorted by any field (both ascending or descending) via the top menu Last Played and Play Count fields are now updated when playing games Added Date Added, Date Modified, Last Played, and Play Count fields to game metadata edits Imports now populate the Max Players and Release Type fields, which were previously missed Happy testing.
  24. It downloads multiple files at once. Check the log to see why the downloads failed. It will give you that information. Just run the process again to finish it up.
  25. Version 1.2

Easily download/sync any collection from archive.org to your local computer. Automatically scans for any existing files and checks MD5 checksums to make sure that all downloads are correct. To download, simply paste the archive.org URL into the top field, put the destination folder into the second, and click Start. To pause/abort a running download, simply close the window. To resume that download later, re-open the app, choose the same URL and folder, and then click Start. Existing files with the correct checksum will not be re-downloaded.
