  1. It's the one with no date. I think there are only about 4 that come with Retroarch Plus, and I have not added any others.
  2. I have the default mame core loaded...android.so or something..
  3. I'm leaving shortly for a long weekend, so if someone responds and I don't reply, I am not ignoring your response, just gone away for a few days.
  4. I've always avoided Retroarch in the past due it's reputation for complex setup. I don't really find the setup to be all that complicated. However, it is not working for me. My two main issues are: Black screen: whenever I load a rom, I just get a black screen that needs to be backed out of. Input: it auto detects my Nvidia Shield gamepad, but I also have a Logitech K830 that I would like to use. It will not recognize that and mentions something about fallback and then I have no input and I have to force my way back to android tv home screen. I've tried, but I can't see how to setup my Logitech keyboard. This is mame 235 with a mame 0235 roms. The roms work fine if loaded from within Retroarch, but not Launchbox.
  5. That's awesome! Thank you.
  6. It worked when I was able to long press with a gamepad (I work from home, so I just needed a 5 min window to walk from my home office room to my TV room). That worked perfectly. Though if there are any Nvidia Shield TV users with no gamepad, it would be tough to get to that menu option, or perhaps there is a button on a keyboard to long press. Thank you.
  7. Hmmm, I was going to try this just now, but I can't figure out how to do this remotely with a keyboard (I use Vysor for remote desktop on Android). I will try again when I am in front of my TV with a gamepad. But with a keyboard and mouse, I tried right clicking on a platform, but there was no delete option.
  8. I will try that. Thank you.
  9. I would like to remove all of my arcade roms and then copy over some newer roms, then re-import. But I am not sure how to do this and I can't seem to find any menu option(s) that would seem likely to achieve this. I did try this previously with my Genesis platform. I had copied over a dozen or so games after initial install just to see if I had the process properly and that everything worked as expected. Then later I removed all of those roms from the folder and added the same ones, plus some others. After importing, I had some duplicates. I would like to remove all arcade roms and then copy over the roms (and more) from a different romset, but I don't want duplicates like from before. What is the best method to do this? Thank you.
  10. I did a ctrl-f and copied any entry with "save" in the description from the list here: https://www.file-extensions.org/filetype/extension/name/emulator-files I think i got them all: file extension srm Super Nintendo ROM saved game file extension dgz Dega saved state file extension zs2 ZSNES slot 2 saved state file extension dst DeSmuME saved state file extension gs0 Sega Genesis (Megadrive) emulator quick slot 0 saved game extension vms Dreamcast VMU save file file extension dsv DeSmuME saved game file extension dess Microsoft Device Emulator saved state file extension pj1 Project64 saved game file extension gsx Gens Sega emulator saved state file extension frz Snes9x saved state file file extension zs4 ZSNES slot 4 save state file extension gs4 Genecyst saved state slot 4 file extension sta MAME saved state file extension uss WinUAE saved state mcd file icon file extension mcd Bleem! memory card save file extension svs gpSP Game Boy Advance emulator saved state file extension sa1 Nintendo Game Boy emulator saved state file extension gci Nintendo GameCube saved game psx file icon file extension psx Sony PlayStation saved game file extension zs1 ZSNES slot 1 saved state file extension ds1 DeSmuME saved state file extension vgs Virtual Game Station memory card save file extension mc PlaySaver and PSEmuPro memory card save and single game save file file extension gme Interact DexDrive memory card saved state file extension dif MAME CHD diff saved data file extension zs7 ZSNES slot 7 saved state file extension zs9 ZSNES slot 9 saved state file extension zs6 ZSNES slot 6 saved state file extension 001 Snes9x slot 2 saved game file extension zs5 ZSNES slot 5 saved state file extension ds4 DeSmuME saved state file extension zs3 ZSNES slot 3 saved state file extension pcsxstate PCSX emulator saved game file extension zs8 ZSNES slot 8 saved state file file extension gs6 Genecyst save state 6 file file extension zs0 ZSNES slot 0 saved state file
  11. Or possibly you could open up an interface into an user customizable file extension filter, then it is up to each user to determine which file extensions to exclude rather than you guys try to figure out something that works with all emulators?
  12. I can spend a bit of time playing with the emulators too and see if I can setup a separate folder for saves in each emulator. It's simple to do in Windows, but not sure about Android TV Ideally, I don't want my saves cluttering up my rom folder anyway if I can avoid it.
  13. Can you do a filter that excludes everything but, say, .bin, .zip or .cue or something?
  14. This one is much better: https://www.file-extensions.org/filetype/extension/name/emulator-files
  15. A quick search found this, but it's not terribly comprehensive: https://emulation.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_filetypes Will keep looking...
  16. I added some more roms to an emulator rom folder and then ran the import roms wizard so that they would show up in launchbox. However, the import wizard detected any saved game/state files as roms, so now I have duplicates for those games in launchbox. Is there a way to perhaps put in a file extension filter so that saved states don't get imported as roms? Also, am I doing this correctly? Is running the import games wizard the way to have newly added roms added? Could each rom folder perhaps be setup to auto detect new rom files and import in the background? Sort of like how Kodi or Plex can monitor a media source folder? Thank you
  17. It's a merged set. I will turn that option off. Now I need to figure out my input issues. Retroarch doesnt seem to like my logitech k830, nor my nvidia shield gamepad by default. I get into a game and have no way to insert coins or even exit the game. I have to go to my PC, launch Vysor and do it that way. grrr
  18. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I got a .235 set and copied a handful of my favorites to my arcade folder, imported them into Launchbox, made sure retroarch plus was set to use the default arcade core, but when I try to play a game it says error unzipping rom file. But then if I try that rom a second time, it doesn't do that, but the screen goes completely black and nothing else happens. EDIT: Ok, maybe it was just that rom. 1941 seems to work. It does look like I need to first try to play a rom, let it error out about unzipping. Then try that rom again and it might work.
  19. It's funny, I end up getting these huge romsets ( upwards of 100GB or more) and all I really want to play once in a while are games like asteroids, pacman, space invaders, donkey kong, etc. Mostly just 80's arcade games.
  20. Leaving shortly with my wife for an afternoon, then dinner BBQ with my in-laws. It will be seeding for hours at least as it's almost done downloading now.
  21. I signed up for a pleasuredome account about an hour ago and am currently grabbing the latest set from their probation torrents
  22. I'll give it another try once I have some 0.235 roms.
  23. Thank you. I am currently trying to locate a 0.235 romset to use.
  24. Thanks for the response. I kinda figured that was maybe the case, but since they both use the same save state file format that maybe it would be possible.
  25. I only seem to have 3 options for downloading cores for Mame, that I can see: 2003, 2003-Plus or Mame-Current. I can't see where I can download a Mame 2012 core through Retroarch.
