Ive been using bigbox for a couple years without issues, but yesterday I got the 8.0 update and bigbox no longer starts. It plays my startup video and then just hangs on an infinite black screen. Task manager says not responding and I have to force kill the process. Launchbox seems to work fine, just not bigbox mode. I thought there might be a log file somewhere that could help but the Logs folder in my launchbox directory is empty.

Is there a way to adjust the platform list wheel speed separate from the games list wheel speed? Im using a horizontal platforms list wheel and a vertical games list wheel. If I set a fast speed the games list looks good but the platforms list goes too fast and looks goofy, if I set a slow speed the platforms list looks good but the games list goes too slow.. Using the BigCouch theme btw..

I've noticed bigbox only shows/updates art once I stop scrolling. Are there any plans to make it flip through selections in real time? Or maybe like a showcase mode that displays multiple games at once, kind of like the recent and favorites, except for the entire list I really enjoy being able to choose a game based on the artwork, its a pretty slow process when you have to pause on every entry to see it.

I have to find my mouse and click on it to bring it back up again. Oddly (and this is why my issue might be slightly different), even if I set the option in the plugin to close Kodi, Kodi remains open. I can check this by alt-tabbing out of BigBox, and there it is, sitting in the taskbar. Any ideas why this would be happening? It would be really great to get this plugin working seamlessly with true fullscreen, so that a sweet movie setup and sweet emulation setup can live happily side by side! TL;DR: plugin works perfectly to launch BigBox from inside Kodi, but doesn't close Kodi or bring it back to the foreground on exiting BigBox. Yep, same exact thing here, except I dont have steam or steam launcher installed and Im still using kodi helix. I can get away with fullscreen window mode though because i launch mpc-hc with madvr as an extenal player

Windows 8.1, gtx980 with latest stable drivers. It says I'm using v1.3 in the information panel in kodi.

To be clear with windowed fullscreen I don't see my desktop or taskbar or anything, just kodi. Then when I launch bigbox the taskbar pops up (only during transition, its gone again when I close bigbox), kodi stays displayed on the rest of the screen until bigbox comes up (which is what I want). I was thinking along the same lines as you but instead of auto hiding my taskbar I just themed it to match kodi. I still use the desktop and I cant stand that feeling having things pop out when my mouse gets too close. Ill look into launcher4kodi, I brushed it off at first because it seemed geared toward 24/7 media center (start with windows and all), I just switch on my tv and launch kodi when I want to relax. Most of the time is spent in desktop mode.

Hmm, I figured out after posting last night that my problem only happens when kodi is set to true fullscreen mode. If I set kodi to "fullscreen window" mode it works more like I expected (bix box opens in front of kodi instead of minimizing it), but I do see my windows taskbar at the bottom during transition. I notice in the video linked earlier in this thread that the person didn't have this issue. What might I be doing wrong?

I just installed this addon today and I have a problem where kodi minimizes when big box launches and stays minimized after closing big box. How can I fix this? Id prefer to never see my desktop at all between transistions.
