  1. Just played StarFox and it runs better than all the independent emulators I tried out there. Quality thanks!
  2. Interesting. What's the most demmanding game for this emulator so I can test please?
  3. ahhhh I see what's happened here. Yes it's the core difference. I watched the tutorial explaining that I needed to get the accuracy version, which emulates everything 100% and I have a powerful gaming laptop so I went for accuracy, but the associated in the tutorial when I skipped ahead to that part shows the association with the balance version. tut makes sense! Why do people use Balance though? Surely Accuracy would be the better one to use? I mean 3ghz processors are pretty standard now right? Thankyou!
  4. Hey, yes I don't actually have a -C after this line, just wondering what that did However with just this line alone, it's not loading What else should I check for please?
  5. In the Tutorial video, it shows what to put at the start of the "Associated" line for Snes, however it doesn't show the full line (After the C- ) Sega worked without having to do anything, but I assume the associated in the Video link is for the balanced Core of retroarch, but then that doesn't make sense why it shows to use the Accuracy version? Does that use the same association line please? I have the Accuracy core downloaded, and can play games fine in Retroarch, but when I try to run games through Launchbox, it fails... so I'd guess it would be that associated line of code messing things up? This is what I currently have in there: -L "cores\bsnes_balanced_libretro.dll" Thanks for any guidance. (have to say running Sega through Retroarch is 100% better than KegaFusion, much more accurate and faster)
  6. Ok, If you have your Mame all setup, but want your games to be seperate platforms for each genre. Mame > - Fighters - Racing - Shooters To do this, you'd make a large selection of, for example... Fighting games, Bulk Edit > and change the Platform to - Fighters (With it's Category being Mame) This will then list the fighter games under the Mame Category like above Correctly. It then makes NEW and separate folders for everything to do with this sub category when you don't want it too. This destroys the paths to images, because they are still in the mame platform. It sometimes stops the Emulator assignment to the new platform, since the new platform is not assigned to the Mame platform any longer and expects to still be assigned to the Mame emulator. Around 70% of the time, the games will still have their emulator pointing to the old platform Mame emulator, whilst around 30% of my testing, shows that sometimes games will lose that assignment and a bug becomes apparent in which it requests this NEW platform needs a new emulator. You see it's not guaranteed this will happen everytime. To make drop down lists of games so they are organised into categories like I show in the first example, Launchbox MUST either copy everything, or copy nothing, not just some attributes, because this causes absolute hell. After moving to a new platform, the new platform should have the option to either use roms where they are OR move them over. (that would help a lot!!!) and the same goes for images, because images will still display like they are correctly pointed at that file path, "Until" you refresh, or have mercy you press clear unused images like I did... They will all be destroyed instantly. So the process of moving to a new platform (not creating a new one) is VERY rocky atm, and 99% of users will have their Mame setup already. Therefore, if they want to move game genres to becomes separate platforms on the left hand side, there is no clean way to do this currently. Hope that explains a good days work of testing for you Thanks
  7. I've gave up with it... It's ok if you want to have 1 branch to say "these are computers" or "these are consoles", but Launchbox is not capable of moving platforms around without breaking everything else... I had to delete my entire launchbox and restore back to a previous build, because it does NOT behave as expected. When you want to change the "Platform" of a group of games, it shouldn't touch or interfere with file paths, if all you desire is a new heading under the platform catergories. If you have your launchbox roms working from a certain "Specific" folder (You choose leave roms in current location), Launchbox tries to be clever and starts moving those roms around without question when making NEW platforms... It's totally destroyed my library. It also when using remove unused images having played with this feature, and all your file paths are now different... Deletes all your images for 'moved' roms to the new platforms, since the file paths are now all messed up. Basically if you want to make new platforms, you will have to individually go through every single new platform, setting all it's attributes such as Emulator (because sometimes that doesn't copy across), all image file paths, etc etc... It's not worth it... really frustrated now, having spent the entire day trying to organise for this feature which is absolutely broken. All we need is a simple Sub heading, which doesn't touch ANYTHING else at all. Leaves all roms, images, and file paths alone, and simply makes a header/sub platform title for organising, which can be used in both normal Library mode and BigBox if required. Whilst yes it's possible to have just 1 branch, I and many others were waiting to be able to sort games out into sub catergories like this, Arcade > Mame > Fighter Platformers Shooters Personally I don't even use bigbox and this is the only 1 feature I've ever requested.
  8. FYI - I found out in fact, the sub platforms are already in the latest release. You have to change PLATFORM to PLATFORM CATEGORIES, to be able to see the + Sub Cats
  9. Mr Jason Any release date for the official platform sub categories? I'm seeing they are creating quite a lot of interest over talks about Launchbox. It's quite a popular feature, but they aren't in the current official release yet, only Beta's Version 7.4 current official release I have. Thanks very much.
  10. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH <geeking out> This is awesome... I will make sub platforms for every genre, because it's so much more sexy to have them in sub-cateorgries than in filters Amazing work Launchbox, amazing...
  11. Hey I'm hearing lots of rumurs that there is also a video showing Platforms to have subcategries in a new release? I've seen endless threads of desire for this feature, and it will definitely bring a whole new level to organising games if it's true? Thanks.
  12. I deleted Launcher UUID and made fresh one, and it worked Will never know why now, but sometimes it's best to start again. Thanks for your help zombie !!
  13. Thanks Zombeaver I have hope, I mean I'm personally working on much more complicated projects than this, which is why it has to be something pretty dammed straight forwards. Administrator rights was the first thing I checked, so I'll see if .net framework is up to date.
  14. Just FYI - I've checked the paths, but they show in the screenshot as correct anyway. - I've deleted the Launcher FSUAE database, created a fresh one, and tried running UUID Launcher with same result - I've tried this with game UUID's and just the UUID Launcher on it's own with same result The UUID Launcher crashes on launch every single time, no explanation.
  15. Please ignore the WinUae in the path That is just the old folder I used and never ended up changing. Here you can see in screenshot, Everything seems good to go. The Launcher actually crashes completely when trying to run it alone even...
  16. Should ask here in the forum, in case anyone else has gone through every step to find this error I'm experiencing. It's probably something pretty straight forwards, but when launching "UUID Launcher" "Unable to open database file" error >>>> What could / should I check please? ---- Hello World! <-no arguments passed-> Unhandled Exception: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: unable to open database file at System.Data.SQLite.SQLite3.Open(String strFilename, String vfsName, SQLiteConnectionFlags connectionFlags, SQLiteOpenFlagsEnum openFlags, Int32 maxPoolSize, Boolean usePool) at System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteConnection.Open() at Launcher_uuid.Launcher_uuid.Hole_Name_aus_DB(String _uuid) at Launcher_uuid.Launcher_uuid.Main(String[] sArgs)
  17. As far as the more recent versions, there is not, and has not been a way to quick save with WHDLoad ever, as far as I know, only floppy versions can use that.
  18. Fair enough :) I Purchased my roms many years ago, when Mame was first about, and have just been updating them all. 30,000 junk files seemed quite a lot :)
  19. DOS76 said They are filtered out by the checkboxes. 30,000 games are not games? I imported everything but mechanical, and non games. I think there should be more than 3339 working games?
  20. Dragging in 33,126 zip files, selecting non bios, non clones... Results 3339 games successfully added ??? What happens to the other 30,000 zip files?
  21. To share with you guys my testing experiences so far: Fs uae does emulate Amiga games to everything you need, but currently with many exceptions. For this setup I used 1 main default config for fsuae, and dragged into Launchbox either the ADF file (Floppy) or WHDLoad (Harddisk) images (You can use both to get a great setup). Especially since WHDLOAD does not support save states, and therefore it's not useful for long games such as Dungeon Master. For Dungeon Master, I specifically use the ADF disk image, because Save states are possible. FsUAE REALLY needs to support Savestates, and I'm sure it can be done, even if it means creating a separate file outside of the WHD image. For now, to import to launchbox AFD - Drag this main file DISK 1 into Launchbox, but I don't know of a way to auto assign the disks 2, 3, 4 etc to the FsUae launcher? so this means having to Press F12 in game, to come out and manually swap the disks over. (This is not a problem within Fsuae, because you can save the launcher of each set of AFD's to a game, and therefore not have to worry about disk swapping. Hopefully there is a way to auto insert the extra AFD disks into drives, on launching a game through launchbox? WHD - Drag the ZIP file, no need to extract, into launchbox, and it should launch straight off. So if you're using AFD files you have to swap disks every time in game (annoying) and you have to manually import each and every disk 1 of all games for your collection. (Masses of time) - Also I noticed that Dungeon Master WHD won't launch with an error saying Disk 1 cant be read. Where's the other Amiga emulator people here? Lets perfect this ^^
  22. I have found a Hack/Fix until the FS-uae is updated with correct WHDload version (Which no long requires the Key) copy 18.2 WHDLoad executable to $DOCUMENTS/FS-UAE/Cache/Downloads/fb4/ replacing the file fb4c64b0b5e682125e53eb2ace9bf0ccd3b8501f (Cached old whdload). This will remove the registration warning which no longer applies anymore, since you cannot purchase now.
  23. orac31 said is it ok if I post a video on how I got mine working? Hey, hows the video? :) I've checked with running games through Fsuae and the annoying WHDLoad Register message is always there, however when you goto the WHDLoad website to the register page, it says, Registration: Starting with WHDLoad release 18.2 a registration is neither required nor possible. Please update to the latest available WHDLoad version. So apparently at some point, the registration has stopped, and you can no longer register, and are supposed to just update the WHDLoad version... thats fine, but FSuae has WHDload setup already internally? So how can I even update the WHDLoad within FS uae? God this is confusing :S The only emulator I can't get to work properly...
  24. I imported all mame games with the (Don't import clones) option turned on. Then I realised many games are missing, and it will be absolute hell going through now trying to see which ones didn't import. I realised when Dynamite Cop was not in the list in Launchbox? So naturally I tried drag dropping Dynamite Cop (and dynamite Deka) into launchbox, checked options to install every type, and then at the end of the process, it says, 0 new games added. :O Does anyone know why Launchbox is being racist to some games please? I can play dynamite deka outside of launchbox fine, but it won't import into launchbox at all :S Thanks,
  25. PLEASE do post a video, although I'm pretty sure I've done everything I should have, since Adams Family works ok? Dungeon Master just won't load in FS UAE with harddrive image. I've tried 3 different versions of Dungeon Master, but it just won't work :( :S PLEASE post a video! You will be remembered as a God forever.
