  1. I cant help with updating Retroarch through LB, I have never done it. I install and update Retroarch manually.

As for Mame stand alone shaders I use my personal HLSL settings which I think gives a very good look overall. Getting something that looks "perfect" for every game is an impossible task since there were so many different display types and resolutions.
You can find my settings and how to use them here:

So should I put all my .bin and .cue files into the same folder (the one called Playstation) and not have every game saved in its own folder?

Do whatever you prefer. If you put each game into their own folders use a core override with the shader. If you put all the disc image folders into a single folder you can use a content directory override.

The second problem is with the Atari Lynx.  I load a shader and saved with a content directory override but the shader isn't used the next time I start up the game or any other Lynx games.

Not sure what would be going on there but I would use a core override.

Typically I use core overrides rather that content overrides but content overrides can be useful if you use the same core for multiple systems and want a different shader for each.

  3. Email support@unbrokensoftware.com and they can help you out.
Your other account may have been banned because of spam. We have been getting hit hard over the last couple of months by spam using hacked accounts of users and yours may have been one of them.

  4. In Launchbox select the platform you want to remove select all the games (control + a) and delete. Then close Launchbox and navigate to the Launchbox folder, then in the images and video sub folders delete the platform folders for those media types.

  5. From my understanding based on what I have read and seen others say you will need at least a 4K display that is also OLED and at least 120hz to come close to giving the "life" of a CRT.

4K or even 8K will be needed to give the sub pixel density required. 120hz or higher so you can use black frame insertion to give you the proper motion and you will need OLED to give the proper levels of blacks and brightness.

Even after all that it probably won't be perfect but it will be the best you can do today short of getting an old CRT.

  6. Moved thread to appropriate forum section.
There is no current road map.
You can suggest features by posting on the bit bucket page. At the top of the webpage click Help & Support > Request A Feature.

  7. Mame does a fantastic job at emulating arcade systems and does a very good job at emulating some consoles and computer systems but a great many of those other systems Mame is outclassed by a large margin in terms of emulation quality.

I can't say what emulators will use Mame SL lists but I can tell you that Mame will use No-Intro and ReDump sets without any issues if needed.

  8. But there is no business in emulation development so there is no need to setup in countries out of reach of Japan law. Like I said, emu devs are hobbyist devs who have regular jobs in whatever country they are living in, they have zero reason or incentive to leave that country to go to a country like Venezuela which is not somewhere most people would want to live.

Emulation when done legally companies like Nintendo leave the devs alone. I haven't seen Nintendo going after Ryujinx though admittedly I have not been paying attention. You also don't see Nintendo going after other Nintendo emulator devs, there is a reason for that.
