  1. I just did an import of my 7800 collection into my main gaming PC and the scraper (from what I could tell) grabbed the box art and meta data for 57 of 60 games. The ones it didn't grab correctly were just wrong named roms, Asteroids Deluxe which was just a wrong named Asteroids, Pac-Man Collection which was just Ms Pca-Man and Mario Brothers which should have been named Mario Bros.
  2. Just set it up like any other Retroarch emulator core in Launchbox, though you may have to edit the emulation windows core for the 7800. I think it defaults to Mess, just edit it so it's using the ProSystem core. Set the emulator to Retroarch and in the Associated Platforms window set Atari 7800 to -L "cores\prosystem_libretro.dll". Make sure you get the ProSystem core first though obviously.
  3. Lol yeah. I generally won't bother with games I can play through Retroarch like the older Strider games that are on sale as well. I also left Steamworld Dig alone since I already have the windows version of that game (very cool game though). I try and stick to games that won't run well on my shitty laptop like the newer Strider or just aren't available elsewhere.
  4. Yeah it's been out a while but it's just so good I just figured I would share this info for anymore who may not have it or played it before and has a PS3 or 4. I buy PSN cards and dump cash on my account and wait for the flash sales and grab games for dirt cheap. I don't like paying full price for digital only games, this way if for whatever reason I lose access to the games it's no big deal when you only paid a couple of bucks for them. If I am gonna pay more than 3 or 4 $ for a PS3 game I will head to a local game store and pick em up used and actually have a physical copy. Love the PS3 at this point in time, very affordable system and dirt cheap used games and easy to find. Some great exclusives to the system too like Dragon's Crown and the HD remaster of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I also grabbed the Flashback remake, Galaga DX and Soldner X2 and X3. 5 games for under 10$ you can't go wrong.
  5. Right now Sony is running a flash sale and they got the newish Strider game on for under 4$. If you don't have this game or have not played it before I highly recommend it. It's basically Strider but with a heavy Metroidvania component to it. This game is for both the PS4 and PS3. There are some more games on there worth a look as well but Strider is by far the highlight in this sale.
  6. It's such a shame they got the Star Wars license too because there is so much gameplay in that universe to be had and they are gonna make what look like very cool games on the surface but end up being extremely shallow and chopped up like Battlefront. For my sci-fi fps fix I will play Planetside 2 which is free to play done right (not pay to win) and it is absolutely massive and deep.
  7. I was asked to make a video on how to get TurboGrafx CD games up and running in Retroarch. One problem though, I have never done any video stuff ever before outside a couple of lonely streams and a barely passable high school film class project back in high school 25 years ago. So anyways I figured since I was going to do this I would cover the TurboGrafx CD, Sega CD and the Playstation in one video. Here is the the video I made https://youtu.be/jXSrVEU7cWc It is nothing fancy at all so don't expect much but I hope it is clear enough to get the job done. Maybe I will do more videos in the future, I do have a couple ideas on what I would like to do such as shaders and Retroarch tweaks to fine tune performance. Anyways I will accept feedback and tips on making more videos. I know this video is probably pretty rough but I am ok with it considering this was my first attempt.
  8. The process starts and you either pick either Rom or MS-Dos game. If you pick rom you end up having to choose the emulator which since it's a Windows game there is no emulator so that's a road block. If you pick MS-Dos game it thinks it's a DosBox game so that ends in an apparent road block. I may be getting hung up on something simple but it doesn't feel too intuitive compared to importing a Steam library or scanning a default location.
  9. @slashguns04 If after watching the tutorials you are still having problems send me a PM and I will be happy to help out any way that I can. But I can tell you this right away the toughest thing is making sure you have a working proper syscard3.pce file in your system / bios folder for whatever emulator you are using. I use Retroarch for my TG / PC Engine. I have used the standalone Mednafen in the past and it does get the job done but it's so messy.
  10. Hmm, maybe I did something wrong but when I tried to just drag the shortcut file in to import it didn't work for me. I had to import each game by clicking Game then Add and point to the .exe file. This was on my laptop which doesn;t have many PC games so it wasn't a big deal but no way hell I would wanna do it that way on my main gaming PC.
