11.15 and I had the issue in this version as well and both are different computers with different specs. I can't re-produce it on demand.
-
ListView headings didn't display when first opened LaunchBox, when I clicked on another Platform they re-appeared. I do not have the nahimic service running.

wallmachine replied to PJCA2's topic in Troubleshooting
Seems like the same issue in the following threads. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/62413-importing-roms-is-inconsistent-not-working-properly/ https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/62195-launchbox-doesnt-import-all-games-even-checking-import-duplicates/ -

Unfortunately it didn't create a duplicate xml it just didn't overwrite the data properly, but I see what your saying and at the same time I don't want to keep checking when adding a system if the correct data is being kept or not.
-
No plugins or third party apps, just a fresh install of the latest LaunchBox and it was the first platform imported and edited
-
Is the Platforms.xml supposed to retain the previous data, as after updating in LaunchBox I have duplicate elements <Notes>The Atari 2600 is credited with popularizing the use of microprocessor-based hardware and ROM cartridges containing game code.</Notes> <VideoPath /> <Notes>A video game console is an electronic, digital or computer device that outputs a video signal or visual image to display a video game that one or more people can play. The term "video game console" is primarily used to distinguish a console machine primarily designed for consumers to use for playing video games, in contrast to arcade machines or home computers. Although Ralph Baer had built working game consoles by 1966, it was nearly a decade before the Pong game made them commonplace in regular people's living rooms. Through evolution over the 1990s and 2000s, game consoles have expanded to offer additional functions such as CD players, DVD players, Blu-ray disc players, web browsers, set-top boxes and more.</Notes> <VideoPath /> Platforms.xml

LaunchBox not importing all Bally Astrocade ROMs
wallmachine replied to chasman's topic in Troubleshooting
Since you probably already have them imported, delete the platform and re-import without closing LaunchBox. -
LaunchBox not importing all Bally Astrocade ROMs
wallmachine replied to chasman's topic in Troubleshooting
I assume you are having the same issue as me here. I listed a work around but it requires importing twice. -
Importing a ROM using the folder or files option is inconsistent (not working properly). Just to note I don't have any duplicate games of the same name only one of each (I checked the box in case you ask me to in your troubleshooting steps). I did 4 imports just to show you its reproducible. To have LaunchBox import the correct amount of ROMs is the only solution to import the platform, delete the platform and re-import without closing LaunchBox so the correct amount of ROMs are imported? Import Games Folder: 1st Import: Opened LaunchBox and imported the folder, it only imported 704 games out of 706, deleted the Platform and closed LaunchBox 2nd Import: Opened LaunchBox and imported the folder, it only imported 703 games out of 706, deleted the Platform and closed LaunchBox 3rd Import: Opened LaunchBox and imported the folder, it only imported 702 games out of 706, deleted the Platform and left LaunchBox opened 4th Import: LaunchBox is already opened, imported the folder and the correct games were imported 706 games out of 706 Import Game Files: 1st Import: Opened LaunchBox and imported the files, it only imported 705 games out of 706, deleted the Platform and closed LaunchBox 2nd Import: Opened LaunchBox and imported the files, it only imported 702 games out of 706, deleted the Platform and closed LaunchBox 3rd Import: Opened LaunchBox and imported the files, it only imported 701 games out of 706, deleted the Platform and left LaunchBox opened 4th Import: LaunchBox is already opened, imported the files and the correct games were imported 706 games out of 706 folder.mp4 files.mp4

Importing game displays title as blank
wallmachine replied to wallmachine's topic in Troubleshooting
So when the game file name matches the games database title or its the actual title it removes the name even though this is correct -
The following game titles are displayed as blank? [Kind Words] (lo fi chill beats to write to) https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/119244 [the Sequence] https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/65633
