My two cents. I have been a victim of a rom seller stealing my work and profiting from it. It sucks. Someone's entire business based around theft and lies is very difficult to deal with when they threaten legal action. Jason is passionate about his IP which is why we back him. I wish in the past that I could have reached out to an entire community via email. It may come off as childish to some people but it is within his right to do so and I support it. Launchbox is not the only victim of these scumbags, plenty of other front ends have retaliated in similar fashion with other rom sellers doing the same exact things. Lies and theft.

Just to chime in yes I do as well. I went from a 15k collection down to around 3k at most. To me I like having a much more clean collection of fully working games and games I personally chose and would play.

@Special T Yes, the clean version has it removed by default. I am thinking of making it off by default since I am not a fan of the clutter. I don't need more than one thing telling me what platform I am on.

Just wanted to chime in that this theme really doesn't work well with newer versions of BB. The theme was made sometime ago and atm looks to be abandoned. It has not been updated in ages. It really needs to be rebuilt for it to function properly.

The Wall View is a hard one to pin down. I haven't really messed with it to much. I am going to go for a flat look with as little as animation as possible with just a small color outline to show what is highlighted. If that is possible anyways.

What do you mean by wheels are disappearing? If you mean sometimes it shows the incorrect one because you have multiple wheels in different themes that is unfortunately a BigBox issue due to the addition of switching themes on the fly and caching. It is something Jason plans to work on I believe.

You can do this pretty easily but you are going to have to edit multiple xml files in order to get it to work correctly. I suggest downloading a program called notepad++. Once you have it installed go into critcalzone theme folder, views open the correct view with notepad++ and look for stings that have <TextBlock Text= and <GradientStop Color=. It will take some work but once you have the base colors you want you can use notepad++ replace in files feature to automate the process.

Only issue I'm seem to be having is after the first startup (launch straight into bigbox on the cab) the platform vid doesn't change, so for example when going from handhelds to arcade it keeps playing the handhelds vid and I have to go back and forth and when it's loaded once it's all good. When going into these platforms theirs no problem.
I don't seem to have this with the previous clean version.

Update: Vid eventually does change but there is just a huge delay I found out.
More than likely because with the default engine it has to complete it's play cycle before shifting to another with the platform videos. There will be a clean version, I use that one myself as well. These are just two test version to make sure everything is working as should. If you look at my d/l sections I still havent pulled the older themes yet.

It looks like the video file has to be labeled background.mp4 though so you can't put multiple videos in the folder to cycle through...correct?
The only issue I have encountered is that the Tiger Game.com clear logo won't populate on the menu. I've tried labeling it Tiger Game.com.png and Tiger Game com.png and Tiger Game_com.png but none of them are work. Any suggestions?Lastly, I'm missing a few platform banners and if you have any time I would be grateful if you could make them. If you don't have time and you are willing to upload your banner template I could try to make them myself.

I'm not sure what fixed the issue but I rebooted bigbox and the Tiger Game.com.png logo is showing up correctly now. It's currently labeled Tiger Game.com.png
Thanks for the feed back. Yes the new location for the playback video is just in the Video root folder and has to be named background.mp4. As of right now I am removing the plugin that enables the random/shuffle playback for multiple videos because @Jason Carr is serious about making this an actual BigBox option which would integrate the process and not only benefits my themes but also everyone else's.
I can take a look, there is a number of newer arcade systems I have added to my cab set up that I also need to make banners and wheels for, just finding the time is mainly the delay. @Zombeaver clear logos and banners are what mine are based off of and he may have covered those systems/platforms already if you need to fill those during the wait.

Also dont rule out fanart as a default choice for background, you could make a number of edits to a single wall and have the theme randomly cycle through them on a per platform basis. I do that in my Blade Runner theme.

Hmm, it is rather nice and clean looking, I would suggest moving away from the per game wallpaper (for size and sanity reasons) and design it around per system background, something clean looking to go with the simple interface you have going on. It is a really nice theme and look forward to what you are going to come up with.
