Hey Guys and Gals. Made a Platform video for PSN and hope you enjoy.

There's an OST and in-game audio version, depending on your preference.

The OST used is from Space Invaders: Infinity Gene

  3. i don't trust those preloaded HDD sellers at all. honestly not even sure how they manage to get away with it so frequently being they are selling ROMs and BIOS on those drives.

just follow Mr Sujano on YouTube.  he will provide info on the two emulators i mentioned above as progress continues and when there is something of note to report on about them.

hey first of all my Eng is bad so sorry  i have problem is there's any way to
run ps4 and ps5 games on launchbox I've seen some people playing ps4 and ps5 games on bigbox and how can i download games is there is any good website and thx.

There are a couple of legitimate PS4 emulators that are actively being developed: FPPS4 and Obliteration (this one has also been reported to eventually emulate PS5 as well).

I haven't followed either one of these very closely since they are both still so early in development that they do not run any commercial software and probably won't for at least another couple of years

If you see anything reporting they are emulating PS4 or PS5 games in the current day, its most likely bogus.

I have seen some of those HDDs you can buy preloaded with emulators and ROMs having "PS4" games on them but these are just the PC versions of those games; not emulated at all.

You can look up Mr. Sujano on YouTube and sub to his channel. He keeps up with news in the emulation scene and would most certainly report on any legitimate news for these systems.

But as Chris said, LB itself doesn't emulate anything

  5. Ohhh.. sorry about that :D guess I misunderstood you.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the questions still (and I may be; its late), it sounds like you are not wanting to physically move/merge the data on F:\ to the one labeled O:\? You are just wanting LB to think everything on F:\ is on O:\?

If that is the case, then it might just be easier to put everything onto one drive, if there is enough space for all of it.

You might be able to pull something off by creating a symbolic link (symlink) for F:\  to O:\ , but then there isn't going to be any easy way in LB itself to modify the drive letter in your paths for the games on that drive. The bulk editing wizard will let you update paths for Music and Manuals, but that's it. Anything else, if it has an absolute path set, would have to be updated one by one or re-imported.

  6. if you want to change the volume label (letter) of a drive, you can do that easily from Disk Management in Windows (just use Windows search and type the word disk. You'll see something populate above that will say Create and format hard disk partitions).

At the top of the window, you'll see a list of currently connected SSDs/HDDs. Click on the one in the list you want to change the volume label for and then right-click it and choose change driver letter and paths..

    Click the Change button

Next to Assign the following drive letter, click the drop down and then choose the letter you want associated for that drive.

If you have a drive connected already assigned as O:\, you'll either need to disconnect it or change it to another letter so you can use O:\ for the new one.

Then just click OK and close out of Disk Management.

If you already have a drive with O:\ assigned to it it and you are wanting to merge the data on the drive labeled F:\ to the one labeled as O:\, then so long as the filesystem is the same as you mentioned, you could just copy the root folder on F:\ to O:\ and just let it copy. Not really going to be fast way to accomplish it, but if the filesystem is setup the same way, then all of the data would just copy over into their appropriate folders.

  7. Achievements from Retroachievements seem to have stopped displaying for me. I double-checked that I was still logged into Retroachievements through Launchbox (Options -> Integrations -> Retroachievements) and tested good.

I also re-scanned my library and exited/re-launched Launchbox but all games that used to display achievements just say "no achievements available".

  8. Hacks & Fan-Made Media Pack (Metroid + bonuses)

    View File

I am in the process of finishing out my Hacks & Fan-Made collection and finished all of the Metroid titles that are in it, so decided to go ahead and share those now. Once finished, this will cover about 50 games and I will update this thread when I get the rest uploaded. I am not responsible for all of the images that I am providing here, but most all box backs, spines and some clear logos were done by me. Some of the box art and clear logos are ones I did some years ago now, but was happy with them enough as they are.

There are a couple of bonuses included as well: BS The Legend of Zelda: Third Quest and The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets. A lot of mock ups tend to be based on the North American box design, but as we all know, these were never officially released outside of Japan, so I made mock ups base on the Super Famicom box design, but used the Satellaview logo on them. The Third Quest uses a vertical style and Ancient Stone Tablets uses the horizontal style.

Also of note is that for Super Metroid Phazon, I included the original clear logo that I made some years back as well as the box front mock up. The most current version of the hack changed the name to Alternate M: Episode Phazon and the game title screen was changed to reflect this, so I made a new clear logo to reflect this. If you still have an older version or just prefer calling it Super Metroid: Phazon, the older clear logo and box front are in a folder on the root of the archive.

    The pack includes media for:

    Box front/back/spine

    Screenshots

    Fanart

    Clear Logos

    Carts/Discs

    Gameplay video snaps

Titles included in this upload are as follows:

    Metroid [mOTHER]

    Metroid: Rogue Dawn

    Super Metroid: Retroid

    Metroid Super Zero Mission

    Hyper Metroid

    Super Metroid: Ancient Chozo

    Alternate M - Episode: Phazon

    Super Metroid: Project Base

    Super Metroid: Hydellius

    Super Metroid: Eris

    Super Metroid: Z-Factor

    Super Metroid Redesign

    Super Metroid Redesign: Axeil Edition

    Super Metroid: Subversion

    Super Metroid: GBA Edition

    AM2R: Return of Samus

    Metroid: Confrontation

    Metroid Origins

    Metroid: Planets

The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets

BS The Legend of Zelda: Third Quest

  9. Triforce Arcade System Platform Video (16:9/soundtrack)

    View File

I was inspired by @Warped Polygon's tutorial that he uploaded earlier for Triforce, so decided to make a platform video for it.

If you haven't yet checked out his YouTube, he makes some helpful tutorials for various emulators. I'll put a link to his channel down below for anyone interested.

  10. Sega Ring Series (RingWide/RingEdge/RingEdge 2) Platform Theme Video (16:9 soundtrack & 16:9 soundtrack no intro)

    View File

I decided to do something a little bit different for this one. Rather than having all of the "Ring" systems split into separate platforms, I keep them all in one (same for Capcom Play System and Taito Type X systems).

This platform video covers all three of the "Ring" systems as a result and works as a "catch-all". I have also included a Platform Clear Logo for it.

I was going to do soundtrack and game audio versions in both 16:9 and 4:3, but this required a fair amount of time to finish so only a 16:9 with soundtrack and a no intro version with soundtrack are included. I am by no means an After Effects pro (purely a hobbyist), but if you would prefer a game audio variant or 4:3 variants, just drop a comment here or send me a DM. Though a 4:3 variation will require an extensive amount of editing to the original composition to make it look right. If I do make other versions, I will updates this thread and the YouTube playlist as well.

In any case, I have to give thanks to @Solo for the RingWide/RingEdge clear logos as I used them in this video and also thanks to Fernando Caldas for the awesome music. I do not know where it was sourced from, but they used it in their own Ring Series video, which is available here:

Also thanks to Enzeefx for the fantastic template that I used to make doing the intro significantly less time consuming. Link below for anyone interested in checking out some of their templates:

    https://www.enzeefx.com/

I also have to give a mention to @Trymado as I took inspiration from the videos that he has made for TeknoParrot, Type X, etc.

Hope you guys enjoy. Playlist below:

  11. Anyone know what LB/BB is using as its built-in PDF viewer? I had assumed it was Sumatra, but the interface doesn't look like it.

I am wanting to be able to have Manuals/Strategy Guides open with bookmarks and also remember the last location it was opened from instead from the very beginning of the document.

I have Sumatra sets as the default in Windows for PDFs and if I open up these PDFs it works as expected since I made all of the necessary adjustments. However, in BigBox (even though I chose to disable using the built-in PDF viewer in Options), PDFs continue to open using whatever this built-in app is whenever I am in-game and open the Pause Menu and choose to either open the Manual or Strategy Guide and it will reset back to the beginning. If I leave it off for both Manuals and Additional PDFs and open either one from Game Details screen, they both open in Sumatra using the setting that I specified for it.

Can't figure it out. I like being able to use a controller to scroll up/down and exit from a document with the built-in app, but I also want to have the bookmarks on the side to have a jump list and also have the pages in a book view and have it remember where I last left off.

Hopefully someone knows how to get this working correctly from the in-game Pause Menu.

I made a short video that might detail the issue better

It seems while in-game it is using a browser as you will briefly see the icons to print or download the document. Hoping there is a way to get manuals/guides/etc to open up in Sumatra while in-game as this would be a great feature to have to not need to start from the beginning of the document each time its opened up.

  12. Sega ST-V Platform Theme Video (16:9/4:3 - Soundtrack/Game Audio versions)

    View File

**NOTE**: I will be uploading additional versions tomorrow night for 16:9 game audio and 4:3 soundtrack/game audio. Just need to get to bed now and this one finished encoding, so uploading it now, but the others are coming. Hope you guys/gals enjoy.

Might try (if it's not already) setting your Hack platform to Scrape As Super Nintendo Entertainment System and see if that works.

That was a good idea and works for any SNES Hacks but of course not for NES ones since I keep all ROM hacks in one place. if there was an option set individual games to scrape as then it would be perfect :D. i'll have to reconsider how i have these categorized, but most of my ROM hacks are for the SNES.

  14. So I know there is an issue where if the way a game is named in Launchbox doesn't match the way Retroachievements lists it in their database, Launchbox will show that the game does not have any achievements even if it does.

Example: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! or Punch-Out!! for the NES have to be named Punch-Out! | Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! in Launchbox for it show the achievements for them.

This has been fine since you can sort by whatever name you want to keep things organized in your collection.

However, there are some ROM hacks that also have achievements, like Super Metroid: Subversion or Hyper Metroid. Retroachievements titles these games with ~ Hack ~ in front of the name (~Hack~ Hyper Metroid). Even if I name the game according to this in Launchbox, it will still show no achievements available. Retroarch still sees that they have achievements and they unlock and track on the Retroachievements site so isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to also have them show up in Launchbox. Just wondering if anyone knows how to get them to show up.

  15. Magazines (Category/Platform) video: 16:9

    View File

Not super easy to find media for this type of category/platform, so decided to make some of my own. I also included the clear logo and banner art I made as well as what I am using as the fanart for this Category in my own setup; found in the additional media 7zip archive. There are two variants of the clear logo in the folder.
