Hey Guys, I wanted to have cohesive media set for my MSU-1 games, so I made some boxes and discs for them. This took much longer than I had anticipated it would, but there are 18 games included as well as templates for any not here. There are two version to download. One has everything and one excludes the gameplay snaps if you don't need/want those. This set includes the following: Platform media (located in the Extras folder): - Banner - Clear Logo - Fanart If you need a platform video, I have one linked just below that I made awhile ago, but I'm still happy with it: Game media: - 3D boxes - Box fronts, back and spines - Discs - Gameplay snaps If you want Cinematic/Theme videos there are some available at the following link that I made. About half of these games are covered. I had wanted to make some for the others, but I need to move on to other projects, but will eventually make some for them too: There are also some extras included as well in the folder of the same name: - Templates - SNES font I used - Screenshots - Fanart - Title screenshots - Retroarch overlay (nothing crazy and I didn't make it but does the job) - Clear logos but these are the same as the SNES ones; just included for sake of completion - Game Details if you use the Unified Refried theme (background and Video Border) - Startup/Pause for the Unified Pause theme Below is a preview if you want to get an idea of things before downloading: -

Question regarding Retroachievements for ROM Hacks
CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT replied to CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT's topic in Troubleshooting
That was a good idea and works for any SNES Hacks but of course not for NES ones since I keep all ROM hacks in one place. if there was an option set individual games to scrape as then it would be perfect :D. i'll have to reconsider how i have these categorized, but most of my ROM hacks are for the SNES. -
Question regarding Retroachievements for ROM Hacks
CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT replied to CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT's topic in Troubleshooting
its the platform then. i keep all of my hack/fan-made games in a platform called Hacks & Fan-Made in Launchbox and still doesn't work there, but does if i move them to SNES, NES, etc. ah well, i'll just have to live with it since I prefer keeping them separated out. thanks for the reply though. -
Question regarding Retroachievements for ROM Hacks
CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT posted a topic in Troubleshooting
So I know there is an issue where if the way a game is named in Launchbox doesn't match the way Retroachievements lists it in their database, Launchbox will show that the game does not have any achievements even if it does. Example: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! or Punch-Out!! for the NES have to be named Punch-Out! | Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! in Launchbox for it show the achievements for them. This has been fine since you can sort by whatever name you want to keep things organized in your collection. However, there are some ROM hacks that also have achievements, like Super Metroid: Subversion or Hyper Metroid. Retroachievements titles these games with ~ Hack ~ in front of the name (~Hack~ Hyper Metroid). Even if I name the game according to this in Launchbox, it will still show no achievements available. Retroarch still sees that they have achievements and they unlock and track on the Retroachievements site so isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to also have them show up in Launchbox. Just wondering if anyone knows how to get them to show up. -

In my on-going pursuit to have complete and accurate media for my collection, I re-sized my GameCube discs so they would be more accurately represented in BigBox. This is a small collection of only about 31 games, but I included the alpha background if you want to re-size any discs not included (just re-size the disc to 240x240 and center it on the alpha in GIMP or PhotoShop). -
Magazines (Category/Platform) video: 16:9

I will be uploading those too, but I need to get permission from faeran first since I am using assets from his retro bedroom theme, but a screenshot is below. For the actual magazines themselves, I just use the default theme using wall view 2 and then in theme-specific settings I turned off Game Details so that way it just opens the magazine when I click on it instead of going to the screen with Play, Additional apps, achievements, etc. I also turned off Startup menu and pause menus for it too. Only have Nintendo Power and GamePro added for now. I'm using adverts for the videos and just changing the video and clear logo for each "platform" I add. I plan to add EGM and Next Generation later on and TBD after that. I opted for this particular fanart background sine it fits the main them I'm using for Categories and Platforms - CriticalZoneV2- BlueBox -
Magazines (Category/Platform) video: 16:9 View File Not super easy to find media for this type of category/platform, so decided to make some of my own. I also included the clear logo and banner art I made as well as what I am using as the fanart for this Category in my own setup; found in the additional media 7zip archive. There are two variants of the clear logo in the folder. Submitter CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT Submitted 12/14/2022 Category Platform Theme Videos

Silver Ring for User-Defined-Playlists
CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT replied to Zoratsu's topic in Playlists & Playlist Media
If i'm understanding right, I believe you will need those playlists to be platforms instead. I'm assuming to are placing those clear logos in Launchbox/Images/Playlists.... MSU1 or Hacks -> Clear Logos? In my case, I use Categories so that is where I would put them, but I have a specific category made for Playlists. If you have everything under Platforms though, I believe you will need to move those Playlists to being Platforms and then put the clear logos in Launchbox/Images/Platforms... MSU1 or Hacks -> Clear Logos. Might also just need to refresh the Image Cache in BigBox Options too if they are placed in the correct folder and the filenames match the playlist names. -

Sega Mega Drive Platform Video (16:9) - Revised View File Just can't leave well enough alone... decided to make a few small changes to the original video. Just getting back into making these so still a little rusty. I think this edit is a little better than the previous version.
