I think it has to do when it deploys... it seems to over something and then it hangs up causing the wipe , i notice some time i have to re-direct my update cause i store it on my d:\ . i have a back up but man it is a pain to restore when you have over 60 systems and 10k+. if you can tell me what steps your looking for i can write it down , i thought my steps above where pretty clear >? A possible different back up method?? my main bet peavy is that all of my snes , nes ,sms ,and MD , switched regions for the box art , i need a method to remove all non US box art

I recently updated to 9.10 and i had the exact same issue happen when i up the last few times, so i was wondering if anyone has had something similar . 1st>I run launch box> auto update starts >I hit cancel update> and my launchbox no longer runs >everything is wiped and then i restore from backs ups. after 2>I update metadata and all of my boxes change to the japanese boxes after i click on any games . anyone ?

    i have done it before for testing and it works i unzip the and rezip them , demul doesnt require them i zip to run . for marvel capcom 2 i pulled the bin file out and it works fine

    Honestly, i have switched from demul to retroarch reicast core. I am using the mame 2.02 version of the rom and it works flawlessly. if your have an issue with demul three things i would recommend . check the version of the rom your trying to use. make sure that you paths are correct. I have had instance that where it cannot find the the rom file do it pointing to another path not relevant path where the rom is . the last item is unzip the rom and try to run it ... good luck

  7. Well I figured out my problem was in my metadata folder . I deleted it and it worked again

  9. not sure what happened but my system updated as it normally does on new release . after the release installed my launch box is completely empty., no roms no systems ..nada so is there a way to restore a backup ??? cause thats a huge issue to have to restore cause i had a lot everything

  11. so I finally figured this out , in retroarch , I used the universal bios, copied it twice and named 1 mpr-17933.bin and the other sega_101.bin.....Wouldn't ya know it works now ..lol Which is weird cause in mednafen im not using the universal bios ,but mpr-17933.bin and sega_101.bin and they seem to work with mednafen , but not with retroarch

  14. i would say its a launchbox issue now. i can run the games perfectly through medanfen . i m using the exact same bios for both. but when i gothrough LB and retroarch i get the "drive is empty" error . any clues ?
  15. actually possible bad bios , i was just playing twin bee and now most of my images dont seem to work

  17. actually im having an issue , when loading bettle saturn i go to the bios launch sequence and then i get to drive empty , has anyone seen this ?

  20. I downloaded all new cores one by one Jason. The Beetle PCE Fast downloads mednafen_pce_fast_libretro as the core
  21. I recently updated my retroarch to 1.67 . Only issue i had is with the the launch box default cores . I have had to relabel a few ,but it has worked so far. Except with PCE, doesnt not seem to launch , i have manually added this in retroarch : L- "cores\mednafen_pce_fast_libretro.DLL" but this still hasn't seem to launch the games. i have tried zipped, unzipped, checked if correct core is present in core folder , and checking the box to extract the rom file, and still have not been able to launch any games. if i use my older retroarch 1.32 i dont seem to have any issues . any suggestions?

  23. does anyone have them working through retroarch? i can get them to work only for the genesisgx core .psx,nes, and super nes cores dont seem to load the cht files any advice ??
