Thanks @SentaiBrad - so I can rename the files and they will work as discs, but otherwise they will work fine but just seen as "versions"? Would be ideal if we could specify discs manually in the import dialog. Would this break anything if we allowed that @Jason Carr?
-
Thanks (as always) @lordmonkus. I did try that but if you do that (or just rename them the same in the import dialogue it simply thinks they are different "versions" of the same game. This is fine, I just seem to recall it used to identify they were different discs. It would seem sensible that you could edit the below dialog to specify discs but that's disabled.

Morning Launchboxers! Just imported by PSX games and they have come in like this. Is there a way I can amend these to specify they are the same name with different discs, or do I need to re-import and remember to edit that info when the games are parsed?

You can simply use this AHK code to ensure ANYTHING closes with the Guide button: vk07sc000:: Send, !{F4} Return

Mapping ESC key for game exit in AHK not working
martinconroy replied to jmc1launchbox's topic in Troubleshooting
I use this script to make the XBox controller guide button close MAME (or anything) vk07sc000:: Send, !{F4} Return You could use than and/or simply use the below for the Escape key Esc:: Send, !{F4} Return -
Thanks @lordmonkus - definitely on the right track. Nothing obviously mapped to the controller but clearing some of the "admin" options seemed to help (once I'd changed Esc so it didn't quit RA!). However, these changes don't seem to stick, When I go back they are all in place again. Where are these keyboard settings saved?

Using the MAME 2014 core in RA (which seems most reliable), but when playing some games I get the MAME config menu or machine test settings popping up. Not sure how, just some (seemingly) random gamepad combo when things get frantic. Especially noticeable playing 1944! I'm using a generic Tronsmart Mars controller which RA treats as a standard XInput controller. Anybody know why this happens and how to stop it as it's really making this impossible to use!

<Emulator>227c8d86-77b0-471b-b787-265d06c3f92e</Emulator> <Platform>Atari 2600</Platform> <CommandLine>-L "cores\stella_libretro.dll" -c "config\stella_libretro.cfg"</CommandLine> <Default>true</Default> Actually @slipsystem - could you parse the RA parameters from the CommandLine tags in Emulators.xml where RA is used? Should be fairly easy to identify?

Hi @slipsystem, Thanks for your continued work on this! It would be great if possible to make it easier to edit the Android apps used within the addon rather than editing the file. Just started using on my Shield and it works wonderfully. Some platforms work perfectly and some I need to tweak I'm creating my own list based on these cores and the recommended ones from Brad / lordmonkus, but if you could simply select "Platform", "App", "Core" via the UI that would be ideal . Shout if I can help. Martin

[Solved] Cannot launch RetroArch from newest version of LaunchBox
martinconroy replied to Quartz's topic in Troubleshooting
Thanks @SentaiBrad - this and @lordmonkus's lists are really helpful. @Jason Carr - I do think updating these needs to be a priority. Appreciate that plugins are exciting but would be good to update the basics as well if possible as I assume it's a quick job. -
Thanks for all this info @slipsystem. It looks a little daunting, but I will see what I can do with this when I have some time. Will play with the nvidia Shield too and hopefully that will be more straight forward! Will report back! Assume that this wouldn't ease the smb issues? https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pysmb/1.1.19

@SentaiBrad- are you able to share those recommended cores with us until they're updated? Also, I'm finding it hard to save per-core configs in the 1.5.0 RetroArch. The setting doesn't seem to be in the same place as your original RA video.
