  1. Thank you. I'll definitely give it a shot and let you know what I find.
  2. Thanks for the help. I deleted my EIP folder and recreated it. Previously, I did have the logos and marquees pointed at my Launchbox assets. I didn't do that this time and it all seems OK now. I probably won't be running this integrated with Launchbox so this is perfect. Just need to copy the media into EIP and I should be all set.
  3. Thank you. I finally got around to trying the suggestions you made above about auto-switching. I got it to work after I read and re-read your instructions. I was missing the "navigate to the autoswitch list" part of what you were saying. Once I did that it worked great. Why would some games be missing from the main list when I browse? For example, I can't seem to find Mr.Do! in the list, but Mr. Do's Wild Ride and Mr. Do's Castle are there. I verified I have the ROM, I can open MAME directly and search for it within MAME and open it. I can also open and run it from Launchbox. It opens and plays fine either way. I noticed other roms were missing as well that I would like to add - Marvel Vs Capcom for example. What does ArcadeEIP search for if not the ROM folder itself? Im using MAME no-nag 0.254.
  4. Nevermind. It seems to be working. Not sure what I was doing last night for it not to work the way I thought it should.
  5. I don't know. He pretty much specifically says... "IMPORTANT! It will not work "out of the box" without modifications if you're running anything else than RetroArch as an emulator, and a BigBox Theme that has vertical scrolling, also BigBox must have its default keyboard binds." Sorry I can't help more. I can decipher the scripts but I'm not a good knowing whether they are optimized to operate without issues. I had no idea there was a newer version of AHK. Good to know.
  6. Hey just tried this last night. Very impressive. My setup worked great on my test PC but I was getting some odd results on my arcade cabinet - but I admit I still need to go over the documentation some more. Notably however, my autoswitching list was sporadically populating with games. Is there a way to add to the autoswitching list manually besides actually running a game? I ran a bunch of games thinking they would show up in the list but exiting and restarting aEIP there was only a couple games in the list. This wasn't the case on my test rig.
  7. Sounds strange. What were the errors in the script that you mentioned. That might provide a clue. I didn't use retroarch in my test. I edited the script to use MAME so I'm not real familiar with how Retroarch is launched.
  8. I could be totally off base here but I'm not sure that the autohotkey in Launchbox will work with the way this is being launched. You need to have autohotkey downloaded and installed on your system (or point ahk files to open with the Launchbox version - see below). When it is installed, windows will see you are launching an AHK file and use the autohotkey program to open it. If windows doesn't know to use the autohotkey program, it will just open the script as a text file. Maybe, the Launchbox included version could work but you'll probably have to change the default behavior of opening ahk files within windows. Right click the file and click the 'opens with - change' button. Navigate to where autohotkey lives on your PC and select that.
  9. Do you have autohotkey installed? Since it's an ahk script and not an ahk exe, you might need to download and install autohotkey, otherwise it will likely just open the script as a text file.
  10. Thank you! Another feature that Gameex had like 10 years ago, finally makes it's way to Launchbox. People with cabs don't even realize what they've been missing. See a cool game running, walk up to cab and start playing. Don't have to wait since it's already running. Super cool feature!
  11. Do have example code that demonstrates how this works?
  12. That is VA 1.3. It was built for 16x9 screens. It will work on your 4x3 screen but everything will be smooshed. The 4x3 specific version has has that vertical wheel, but in order to have the videos and images not be smooshed, I had to remove the marquee. This is the 4x3 version. This view doesn't have the vertical wheel. Below is the 1.3 VA smooshed into a 4x3 screen. If you don't mind that it's smooshed and/or stretched, then use this. Below is the 4x3 screen but no marquee. The video and images are not smooshed or stretched. This would be ideal for you if you had a marquee monitor. Basically, your options are use the regular 1.3 and have everything smooshed together, or use the 4x3 theme (but not have the vertical wheel and marquee together).
  13. Yeah sorry, the mod is for a second monitor marquee. Is was built as a special request by someone. If you can get the regular VA 1.3 to work, you won't need the mod too unless you have a second monitor. Hopefully, 1.3 renders properly on your screen. It wasn't built for 4x3 monitors. For 4x3, you should try the 4x3 specific VA theme.
  14. I didn't actually update the VA 3x4 theme. I just remembered that it needed to be unblocked before unzipping it. I haven't messed with the MOD or this theme in quite a while but it should work. Do you have a second monitor being used as a marquee screen? That is what this Mod is intended for. If you don't have a second monitor, it won't change anything in the VA 3x4 theme.
  15. So I was editing an old theme in the CTC to bring it up to date. It seems the rotate property is missing. I asked @y2guru about it. Apparently the rotate/angle property is missing from the new wheels in BigBox. This was used quite a bit in the legacy wheels. Can this be added in a future update?
  16. After you downloaded it, you right clicked the zip, clicked properties and checked the unblock check box before extracting the folder to your themes? If you don't unblock the files it will look like that when you open it. There are some files, DLLs I believe that the community theme creator put in the theme that need to be unblocked in order for the theme to render properly. Short of that, I'm not sure what is going on.
  17. Yeah, you have to unblock it before opening it, otherwise it won't display properly. Keep in mind, the views are a bit different since I had to build it to fit a 4x3 screen.
  18. Oh I think I just figured it out. Did you unblock the zip file before extracting the theme? I just tried it again and it seems to work. Give it a shot.
  19. So with the 4x3 theme, because of the ratio, it doesn't have that view. This is about the closest thing to it. I was able to load my old theme files into the theme creator and got it to load in a 4x3 environment, but the wheel is still screwed up which will take a bit of work on my part to get it fixed. I'll see what I can do with it tomorrow. It's easy to change the background around the bezel on this if you don't like it.
  20. Is this a 4x3 screen? Yeah, I just confirmed the 4x3 version looks like its broken. Something major must have changed in the last couple years since I made that one. I guess I'm going to have to update it. The 16x9 works but that's not going to help you right now I'm afraid. I'll see if I can fix it tomorrow if I have time.
  21. Yeah when building the theme, it doesn't let you select what videos are shown. Whatever is in your video folder for a particular platform is what will appear. I don't think there are video priorities in Bigbox (but I could be wrong about that). You should be able to go into your arcade platform in Launchbox and select all games. Then in the menu click tools > Download > Update Media and Media for selected Games. That will get you into the media download wizard. Unselect anything you don't want it to download again and only select the gameplay video stuff. You won't need to delete and re-import your MAME libray this way. Also, I'm not sure but I think this needs an emumovies account. I don't think Launchbox provides basic gameplay videos in their media downloads (but I could be wrong about that too).
