I think his last post was the 22nd so with Brads exit and no streams Im guessing there are some issues keeping him away.
Maybe let him take a breath

Best of luck in all your future endeavors

Clear guide thanks for sharing
It's this what a symbolic link is?
Seen it mentioned many times by the experienced people but it's all foreign to me!

Cool.
I may consider dusting off my build and trying to fit in an Xbox next year.
i wonder how you think this will fair
i5-4960T
Mb-Asus Z95
Msi 750Ti low profile
dual vengeance 4gb ram
just need to sort a PSU, case and upgrade storage. Got an 128gb ssd

That looks sweet!!
What was the build cost in the end?
-
Ok i think I know what that is.
In Input settings there is a menu select gampad combo. Turn that off as by default its Start+Select.
Now for your setup in the hotkeys menu i said about earlier assign your "enable hotkey" to start and "quit" key to select
That will give you the combo for exit (hit start 1st hold then select)...as a side effect any other hotkeys you have setup like fastforward or save state will require you to hit Start before the other key
Just got to make sure it doesnt clash with other setups.
Make some backups or a test setup while you get this stuff sorted out....controlling multiple systems is fairly hard to wrap ones head around

Did you use SCP (ScarletCrushProductions) for the PS3 to Xbox driver? Afaik thats the one to use. Used it myself a couple of years back and still works now. Also works with bluetooth so long as you have a dedicated dongle.
Not sure on your exit method for games in RetroArch but you can setup a new Hotkey in RA settings-》input-》 input hotkey binds-》
Set it to an availiable key thats not escape and then it should give you a clean exit from retroarch.
Theres a few other options for that im a bit hazey on in PC use but there are ways to get you setup just need to keep digging

I was using that doc today for getting cores, though (if the author is reading) I would love to see the name as it appears in RetroArch in the list for each core. Some were hard to figure out based on the libretro.dll name in the doc.
You can manually download them from here if it helps.
https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/latest/
Its where the Online Updater grabs them from for Windows 64bit

cool.
Your name is in every file name!
If you remeber please @ tag me when you update....If not I'm sure I will spot them at some point

For those that want to batch the creation of .cfg files for things like this let me know....I have a guide over at Hyperspin I just need to put it somewhere more neatural if people are interested.
I just set these up and you bring a very cool original theme for bezels afaik...not seen many specific packs like this before.
If its ok with you I would like to add them to the "official" libretro repo for this stuff (although they like me to PNGCrush them 1st)
I linked it in the download section comments.
This is the release format I will go with. [creator-name][specifics][bezel-name]

Some cores do different things. Like the Nestopia core is lauded as being perfect emulation now, but it does require a more beefier CPU. I did make a custom list, that I've been trying to get Jason to edit the defaults to. I also need to update it, but it's fairly complete.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k1aSGkhzHR4L7VDD5CPy-PVMFKiaGOiQhgZO56hUNaE/edit#gid=0
The MAME cores are only labeled if you dig for that info. The "MAME" core, with no year, is usually the most up to date.
Apologies for butting into this thread but it was a good read. OP's questions have been answered afaik.
i love this little nugget of info. Is there a thread for it anywhere?
i see Amiga is not listed for an emulator.
would that be winuae?

The other great feature not mentioned in RocketLauncher is that it supports most Frontends, so if you want to swap in the future (when Launchbox gets knocked off top spot ?) it will probably be easier. Then again by that time things will probably have changed!!
For sure it's another layer for the OP to learn but it can handle all your emulators forever (so long as modulas get love)
You will always want to setup your emulators so for that reason I will use RL when setting up my PC. Then when it's done I can do whatever I want with a frontend

Black with red textbox looks spot on
dark red is better than light but maybe the text needs to be a little brighter or the textbox darker imo
whatever you choose this is one super nice theme

On a related note, I've just recently noticed that they also removed the long-running post "Do you like Hyperspin?" from their forums.
FYI still there

There is a Kodi plugin which utilises your BigBox install... that works on the Nvidia Shield.
Slipsystems Unofficial Kodi Plugin

Im wondering the same thing right now....need to start getting a proper setup going. All my stuff is all over the place. Im wondering how big will the media state of things be in a big setup.
I might try and figure out what size the media would be per game. Then add in the basic per platform size of a, theme etc
-
@slipsystem have you thought about using one of these as you BigBox app background?

Would be awesome to have a summary for some of the "main" platforms. i.e. I use a shield too, so would be great to have a guide for that. i.e. which RA cores to install, and an androidcom.xml to match.
I'm not being lazy - I would love to work this all out myself, just limited on time atm - sorry! When i get round to playing with this and launchbox properly i will chip in on what works for shield and see if i can find any additions to the xml.

If there is an AlphaOmega folder, have a look in there.
-
Well looks like i have the same intro music issue on Street Flighter Alpha.
I expect testing my pbp's may become a disapointment. Oh well live and learn
-
I have just converted over 1000...tested a few but im going to and test street fighter now lol...
Although i didnt convert the multi bins to single myself. It was done with the 7zip and a payed version of isobuster method i believe. To allow for batch automation.
I will get back to you
