You can do this by auditing your platforms under Tools Options.
Ah, I see. Not too fast though, since I can do only one platform at a time, but it certainly works
Thank you! -
I went to listed view in launchbox, hoping to find a tab with "video filepath" or something similar, so I could just sort that ascending, and then get all the ones without any filepath.
Any suggestions on how to find all games without videos? -
Yes, you would need to copy your LaunchBox folder, and the emulators and roms you would like to have accessible in the cloud, in order to play them both places. LaunchBox should use relative filepaths, meaning that it reads directories based on its own directory, not whether its on this or that actual harddrive.
This is a video (made by the launchbox team) about making a portable version for a USB-stick, but you can just apply the same steps and put it in your cloud instead
If you follow the video, I would download a newer version of .NET, but that's it -
Do you have any cloud storage application installed on the laptop as of now, such as Google Drive Sync?
If so, there's no problem, but depending on your collection (and cloud storage plan) you may run out of storage space very quickly !
But of course, older games take up much less space than newer games
There are also some dependencies that needs to be installed on the computer, such as .NET 4.7.1 and the Visual C++ Redistributable (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anyone).
Some emulators need these also, not just LaunchBox. Newer emulators also need DirectX to play well.
But I don't think you can run it from the browser version of Google Drive, if that's what you're asking. -
Sega Mega Drive Platform Video
View File
I made this a while ago as I couldn't find any mega drive platform videos at the time. If anyone else finds a use for it, feel free!

It seems that SDL handles the graphical stuff of DOSBox. I went to the config file (dosbox.conf), switched Output from Overlay to OpenGL, and everything is working fine again.
I have no idea when that changed, though. -
Don't be discouraged even though people don't seem interested
I can only speak for myself but I very rarely change my startup video, but I still like to see what is available, and more videos to choose from is only a good thing, I think -
I haven't played any of my DOS-games lately, but was just about to. I got this error:
Problem Event Name: BEX
Application Name: DOSBox.exe
Application Version: 0.74.0.0
Application Timestamp: 4bea7d36
Fault Module Name: SDL.dll
Fault Module Version: 1.2.13.0
Fault Module TImestamp: 49f5c79b
This happens with any game within LaunchBox.
Everything worked fine before
Any ideas how to fix this?

There are a few ways to accomplish this. I use JoyToKey, which makes it easy to map controller buttons to keyboard keys, or even mouse keys. However, since AutoHotkey is integrated pretty well into LaunchBox, there may be a way to do it with that too. There is also a program called Xpadder which I believe does much the same as JoyToKey does

Hey all! In order to play multiplayer on New Super Mario Bros. Wii U, I need to set player 1 to controller 2, player 2 to controller 3, while for most other Wii U games, it works to map them to order (so player 1 is controller 1 and so on). I couldn't find anything in the CEMU documentation, but do you guys know if there is a way to set up config files per game yet, such as in Dolphin? Or other solutions to this problem? In other words, an easy way to switch configs on launch

Hi all! Currently I have one big platform called "Arcade", and I was wondering what would be the procedure to split that into CPS1, NeoGeo etc within LaunchBox ?
I saw the third-party program (Lightspeed MAME importer, as recommended by Brad in an "old" MAME video on youtube), but found the warnings from LordMonkus, and therefore I didn't dare to use it.
Any suggestions apart from going through each single game one-by-one? -

hi, anyone made progress with the dual light guns on model 2 and model 3?
Been trying to use the Demulshooter, but no joy.
Thanks!
Hi, sorry for late reply. Yes i finally got dual light guns working for all the games i wanted, but I can't remember how, or what i did exactly (as i did try a ton of different approaches).
You should probably open a new post to get help with that - surely someone on this forum knows how to help
(The systems I got working was Sega Model 2, Sega Naomi, Sega Master System, Windows, PS2, Taito Type X, and others through MAME) -

Playlist videos and clear logos per genre!
I think you may have misread my first post
This post isn't about requests for the playlist feature, but suggestions for playlists

Hi all! I've been having some time off to actually play games and relax, and I have (of course) done so through Big Box, and i noticed a couple of things that would be very handy, for me at least.
One is the possibility to check "completed game" within Big Box, and not having to go to LaunchBox. The most logical place for this would be in the Games Details view, I guess.
The second is to add a "in progress" check box for games that you have started, but not yet completed, and even better, if you could then see a list of all those games. It would also be great if you could toggle this on or off within Big Box, not having to go out to LaunchBox
If any of you guys thinks it's a good idea, i'll add it as a request on bitbucket - if not i'll just go back to my corner and be quiet.
edit: I suddenly found a similar issue on bitbucket, for the second part: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2645/add-playing-as-a-category-and-tickbox-

I have a decent lightgun playlist going with mame, demul, model 2 and windows lightgun games all in one. I could possibly share that if anyone is interested.
Incredibly off-topic by me here, but i've been curious - is there a way to get 2 players with lightguns in model 2 and / or demul? I have tried a bit, but couldn't work it out
I'm only using PCSX2, MAME and windows for lightgun games, as they seem to have been easiest to set up.

My living room pc starts up with Kodi, then i launch BigBox from within Kodi, with the plugin that is on the download page
Kodi does movies and tv-shows great, and BigBox compliments that with a great way to handle games - obviously-

I have tried out the SSE version, but on the surface it didn't really have anything I need. But I'm still open for it - what are your pros for using it?
-
Oh, I didn't know you could save config files! That's an elegant solution, which I will certainly apply myself. I have used Steem for quite some time, but i'm still learning stuff - which is great!

I forgot that I set up those games before merging of roms were a thing. Just merged them, and now it's all clean and tidy.
I've set up so that any Atari ST games that needs two disks launches one instance of the emulator, but with both disks inserted, and without merging, it would get messy.
Anyway, thanks for your help -
Yeah, they're the same extension, and moving them is of course possible, but not optimal
I'll look for the request at bitbucket
Thanks!

Hi! Is there a way to tag a file as "always ignore this file", when importing roms in Launchbox?
I have some roms that get launched by other roms when needed, and therefore doesn't need their own entry, but i would still like them to have them in that directory. -
I decided to make this video today, as i couldn't find any videos about the emulator at all, and even though it was made in 2004, it's a really good and versatile emulator.
My first video ever uploaded, so be nice! I also hope more people try out Atari ST games - there's a lot of good games on there.
It's a pity most of them (but not all!) had better ports elsewhere, so many just discard the system as a whole, maybe in favor of the almighty Amiga or something.
Anyway, I hope the video can be of help-

I'm sorry then, I don't think I understand your question. What that video is previewing is the possibility to have playlists, in the newest version. They should sort alphabetically I guess ? I haven't gotten around to using it yet.
