  1. Just to be clear with anyone who prefers the wheel fading...there are four views for every platform..

    1.Character Art View

    2.Box/Cart/Disc View with fading wheel

    3.Box/Cart/Disc View without fading wheel

    4.Text Games View

So both options are intact. For systems with only carts, views 2 and 3 will not rotate the carts...for systems with only discs, views 2 and 3 will rotate the discs

Is there a view where you get the box cover and cart as well as the full wheel? In the original theme the wheel would fade or you could switch to a text list. That was the main reason I never used it.

The wheel does fade when box/cart art is displayed. The main theme uses 3 wheel views, and the addon themes only use 2...so there is room to add another view in. I suppose I can have a look at adding that as an option, but, the box and cart would require a drop shadow or glow to at least set it apart from the wheel,or it will overlap and look messy.

  3. Ok..so testing is going well, and some issues were found, yet they have been fixed...I will give testers some more time to check out the updated files, and if I receive the OK from them, then I will release the theme,as well as the add-on themes, officially.

On another note,I will release a platform wheel set that matches the logos I am using in the theme, thanks to @RetroNi for his hard work, and permission on using his wheel set as the base.

I also plan to make platform videos for each platform using the artwork from the theme to match, and they will resemble the unified video themes that are currently in circulation already.I do not have a time frame as to when I will make them, but,I can say that they will actually be easier to make then the actual theme was,and having the art already cut and cleaned should streamline the whole thing.

I have some patreon work to get done after I finish this theme, before I follow up with any more projects.

  4. Any changes to the default theme code will revert back the next time you start launchbox. You could make a copy of the default theme folder, call it something else, and use that theme. Then your changes will stick. Take note, that unless you change all references to the default theme,so that they point to your copy,it will still look in the default theme folder for assets, but, you can alter the views and stuff.

Count me in too if you need any more people to test :)

Excellent....I will message all three of you guys with a link,as well as a few instructions, shortly. That should cover testers.

  6. So specifically the "View Genres" menu...I see...that wasn't made clear at the start. I do not believe there is a way to display them, unless it is built into the themes specific view xaml...which I also don't believe most theme makers bother with because it's not really a priority. Even if they did, there doesn't exist the proper media for that many genres, and it would still look barren. I just scrolled down my genre list, and there are at least 150 genres listed...and most media creators only cover the main 25-30 genres.

This looks great!  Will there be (or is there) a pack of clear platform logos that match the logos on these screens?

Thanks...the logo set I am using can be found here..

I have altered a bunch of them so far,to match the characters or backgrounds more...but,I would not want to release a set that includes my changes, without @RetroNi's consent. He has obviously put alot of work into them, and using them in the videoborder is one thing, but, since half of them are still original to his work, releasing a wheel set is like stepping on his toes.
