Maybe it's time for me to upgrade then. At least I know I should be safe with that one. I've always been a corsair fan. A lot of my accessories are there products.

Maybe a firmware issue. I could try updating to see if that fixes it

Maybe it specific to the corsair k55. I won't pretend I know how it does it. I tried opening and closing retroarch 50 times to make sure and it's smooth as butter. I just called my brother too to see what keyboards we wer using on his and guess what. The one that worked fine was a rosewill and the one that had the issue was the k55 as well. It has to be the issue

No icue software on my computer. Now I had issues with that software with mortal kombat 11 on launch day and I deleted then. All I did to resolve the issue is plug a cheap $20 mouse keyboard combo and problem fixed

I agree. Corsair k55 rgb here. Whatever I'm just glad I can start my launchbox build again.

Well I created a topic in retroarch forums and someone helped me fix the issue. So the fix was very silly and would have never figured it out. You guys ready for this. It was caused by a corsair keyboard! Not sure how but unplugging it fixed but it did. Thank again to all that helped me try and fix this.

My main rig has over 200 steam games everything is up to date on it. Same issues. I learned through this its not launchbox either.

I have tried that version as well. Different driver in retroarch and menu driver as well. Launchbox is amazing and hopefully I get this resolved in the future so I can keep using it. I won't waist anymore of your time. If you guys are stumped too I'm doomed lol. Thanks for everyones help.

The issue happens all the time. Fresh install from retroarch website on my Kingston 250gb ssd. It happens on my nuc Samsung m. 2 drive and my seagate hdd. All 3 different computers. This problem happens in launchbox, bigbox and opening program by itself. I have literally wiped windows downloaded only retroarch dx9 drivers, my gtx 1080ti drivers and that's it. I Will open it close it (changing games) and it will start to hang. I have made my startup apps disabled and only leave windows services to boot and that does nothing either. I think this is a lost cause. I'd buy a new computer if I'd know it would not have this problem.

They pcs we user are all fresh always trying something different. Cpu usage is 0 for minutes but as soon as it starts im good as gold. You know i would just deal with this if bigbox would play well with the error. Usually it says game over and lets you select another and out of no where the game loads. So once retroarch actually starts it has 0 issues. Runs fast across all computers. It's just when I click the app or launch a game through launch box. My task manager shows everything normal at least to me. Nothing is over 40%. I will try some different builds. I know for sure I have tried stable and nightly but not old builds. I'm just not sure what could cause this to happen to 4 out of 5 computers and not hear people complain about this more often.

I love launchbox but this issue is about to make me give up on emulation all together. I have been trying to fix thins issue for weeks and im talking minimum of 5 hours a day. i have built 3 Arcades and im having this issue on multiple computers now and cant find any answers to fix it. Retroarch takes minutes to open. Shows up as not responding but if im patient it will open. I have a amd fx8350 with gtx 780 and it does it. intel 6850k with 1080 ti does it. A hades canyun nook does it. 1 of my brothers pc does it but the other does not. I have tried windows 10 1503,1809 and 1903 build and all do it. drivers are up to date and have wiped windows more times than i can count to see if that fixes it. Sometimes it takes multiple opens and closes to start happening but always happens. Stand alone mame emulator does it as well. only way to fix it is a reboot. Can someone please help me. At this point id pay someone to help me with this.

The apps do close and my cpu disk and memory never go past 40%. It weird that it's only affecting certain programs. I will run streets of rage remake for example and it boots fine but retroarch, dolphin, model 2 emulator and mame they all will take 30 seconds to 2 minutes to boot or not boot at all. I can even open my aimtrac software for my light gun and hit stops reapong too. If I reset my pc all is good for a little bit but always reverts back. Now I tried to boot the drive on my other computer which is pretty beefy and it does it on there as well. I have tried running my other computers os and just run the apps off the arcade ssd and it does it as well there. So I don't think it's a hardware issue.

So I have a arcade 1up cabinet I have put a pc in it. So I have fresh windows install and launchbox install with my drivers I need. My build is fx 8350, gtx 750, 850 psu, 16 gb ram, msi 970a g43 mobo with windows 10 home latest build. So my problem is I can run launchbox and play fine but playing and quiting then playing again over and over eventually my emulator programs start to open very slow. Sometimes 30 seconds and closing them most of the time causes them to stop responding. This still happens even without launchbox running. Any clues what could cause this.

Not sure where to get help with this but i cant get the aimtrak to work in mame core. I can play with the mouse but as soon as i pull the gun up it the crosshair freaks out. i can get it to work on the standalone mame emulator but it stutters too much. Any help would be great.

So when i open launchbox my boxart for my games takes up the whole window. I have tried zooming out and i have looked through the options but have no luck finding out how to see more than 1 game at a time. Any help would be awesome.

look at that. thats what it was i changed the windows file name from cps1 to capcom play system, deleted and re imported and it work. thanks alot

I love this program and am still new to this but I have had 0 issues so far up until now. I'm sure its an error on my part but i need some help. On cps 1 and cps2 I click on them and nothing happens. I am able to play them directly through retroarch. I see there is no associated path for cps1 and 2 and by default its not there. So im not familiar with -L commands but i tried -L "cores\fbalpha2012_cps1_libretro.dll" and -L "cores\fbalpha2012_cps2_libretro.dll" but still nothing. Ive tried the nebula emulator but it just closes the program on almost every rom i try. Any help would be awesome
