  1. For what it's worth, this post helped me out. I couldn't figure out how to make my mouse cursor visible but disabling "Use Game startup Screen" fixed everything. Sorry nobody responded.
  2. I'm having an issue that I've been unable to crack for a few days. Thanks to Google's complicated new Drive for Desktop app, I lost my Launchbox collection and I'm currently in the process of rebuilding it. Anyway, the mupen64plus next core launches Nintendo 64 titles just fine when using standalone Retroarch. But I only get a black screen with sound when launching from Launchbox. The correct core is designated in "Manage Emulators", so I'm at a loss as to what's happening. I suspect Retroarch is starting with the vulkan driver instead of gl, but since Retroarch now let's cores switch video drivers as needed, I don't know why it's not happening. But that's just my current theory.
  3. Jason, this updated beta fixed the issue for me. Thanks for being johnny-on-the-spot! I'm so pumped about this feature.
  4. Man, that was a while back... I don't have the issue anymore, but I can't remember exactly what fixed it. I think it was making sure Steam was completely closed before starting LaunchBox, which I now do religiously. Hope this helps.
  5. Thanks, but I tried disabling automation and problem persists.
  6. Lately I've been getting some odd notifications when starting retroarch via launchbox. Here's what happens: I'll select a game while in BigBox mode. Then, when I press the guide button on my xbox one controller, I get the following notifications in retroarch: "Waiting for client" "Joined as Player 1" (then after about 25 seconds) "port remap failed" It's only after I receive the final message that I can do anything such as save/load state. Now, I realize LaunchBox has nothing to do with retroarch from a development standpoint, but when I start retroarch directly, I don't get any of these odd notifications. I would also like to point out that I'm not using any special launch parameters. Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? Thank you in advance for your help!
  7. I just bought Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on Steam and added it to my Windows library in LaunchBox. When I try to launch the game, Steam gives me a pop up stating: Allow game launch? Bloodstained: Ritual of the night is attempting to launch with the optional paramerters shown below. " BloodstainedRotN " If you did not request this launch or do not understand these options, select Cancel. Does anyone know how I can bypass this and simply have it launch?
  8. That's it! I went ahead and changed my resolution back to 3840 (because of this and it seems to make more sense from a scaling perspective, i.e. 1920 x 2 = 3840). But what really solved the problem was how my TV was being scaled. Windows recommended 300%, but when I lowered it to 250%, all my issues mentioned above went away. Thanks @Retro808 !!!
  9. Thank you, but if my cable supports it, why would I want 3840 over 4096?
  10. Awesome! I had the reverse problem. I somehow deleted all my front box art and everything was displaying 3D box art. This fixed my entire NES collection in about 10 minutes. Man, LaunchBox never ceases to amaze.
  11. I tried changing the resolution to the full 4096x2160, and it corrected the game summaries/descriptions, but nothing else. Then I went back into Windows' display settings and set my TV as my main display. Everything is displaying properly now, but unfortunately, leaving my TV as the main display is not practical. Oh, well. Thanks for your help.
  12. It's currently set to what Windows recommends, 3840x2160. There's one option higher for 4096x2160. I'll try switching to that real quick and see if it changes anything. So you believe it is a scaling issue, and that the problem is most likely with Windows?
  13. In this photo, I'm using the search function in BigBox. You'll notice the characters are not aligned with the buttons of the onscreen keyboard and the word "mario" is displayed too low to be legible.
  14. In addition to this, I also noticed that the game descriptions are cut off on the right-hand side.
  15. Hey, guys. Not sure if this has always been the case, and I just never noticed, but recently I've seen a couple of things in BigBox (default theme) that aren't aligned properly. In these photos, you can see how the box art images for "favorites" and "recents" is cut off at the bottom. This is the case, regardless of platform. I've also listed a few other instances below. If I had to guess, I'd say it's some kind of scaling issue. I poked around in the settings, but didn't see anything that would help. I tried refreshing all images, but that didn't fix it. Any ideas what could be going on, or is this just the way it is? I should mention that BigBox is being displayed on a 4k TV. Thanks
  16. Hey, guys. I recently imported my Steam collection and I was wondering if there's a way to exit these games in the same way I exit everything else in LaunchBox (L3 + R3). Thanks!
  17. Worked just like you said! I'm back up and running. Thanks!
  18. Welp. Just learned something new. I'll give this a go tomorrow. Thanks, again.
  19. No, sir. I'm afraid I don't. lol It's not a huge deal. Honestly, with the new update allowing you to pick regions when downloading metadata, it might not be a bad idea to start fresh. Besides, I understand the program a lot more than when I first picked it up, so I'll have a much cleaner, leaner build than before. Maybe it will solve my sound startup glitch in BigBox! Thanks for the amazing program, Jason!
  20. With Google Drive closed, I tried deleting the VLC folder. No luck. Then I tried running the 9.4 updater and installing it over my existing build. Still no luck.
  21. Jason, I just tried quitting/closing the Drive sync service, and it still wouldn't work. It there a way to try and update again now that it's closed? I'd like to keep my build portable, by the way.
  22. I think I see where you're going. Maybe there was an upload/download sync for Google Drive in progress while LaunchBox was updating?
  23. I'm not sure what you mean. How would I close out of it? I have it installed within the Google Drive folder that gets synced to the cloud. Thanks
  24. It's happening for me, too. I got the notification to update yesterday, but I dismissed it and played a game. Later, I tried to open LaunchBox, and it automatically started updating. But, it never opened. I tried to start it again, and still nothing. I tried rebooting, updating my Geforce drivers, updating Windows, but still nothing. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit portable LaunchBox in my Google Drive folder ***edit*** I just tried installing to a different hard drive, and it works fine. Still can't get my original install to work, though.
  25. No, I never found a solution. I ended up disabling the startup sound because it was pissing me off.
