  1. Sega CD RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 36 of the 38 RetroArch/RetroAchievements supports for the Sega CD. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 36 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the Redump 2022-11-20 04-50-31 DAT.

Two games not include because they are not part of the latest Redump set. Both are Homebrew.

    Riley's Letter Recycle
Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors

  2. NEC TurboGrafx-CD RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 29 of the 30 RetroArch/RetroAchievements supports for the NEC TurboGrafix-CD. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 29 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the Redump 2022-11-11 20-25-11 DAT.

Ultimate Rally Club - Homebrew is the game missing from the playlist since it is not part of the last Redump set.

  3. Atari Lynx RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 15 of the 16 games RetroArch/RetroAchievements supports for the Atari Lynx. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 15 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20220513-205052 DAT.

Flappy Bird: Testing - Homebrew is the game missing from the playlist since it is not part of the last No-Intro set.

  4. Sega Genesis RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 364 games RetroArch / RetroAchievements supports for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 364 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20221214-091705 DAT.

No hacks or subset versions are included. I am using a pure No-Intro set to build this playlist.

Here are some notes of issues I have found.

Alter Ego - Homebrew: ROM included with No-Intro is incompatible.
Cave Story - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set.
CrazyBus - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set.
Flappy Bird - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set.
Mega Flappy Sis - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set.

Angry Birds in Russia - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
Angry Birds Star Wars - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior - Unlicesned: Version from No-Intro is not compatible.
Felix the Cat - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
LEGO Batman - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
Mario 3: Around the World - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
Mario 4: A Space Odyssey - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
Plants vs. Zombies - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set.
Super Mario World 64 - Unlicesned: Missing from No-Intro set.

Bram Stoker's Dracula (USA): Invalid Field in Leaderboard.
    Light Crusdader: Requires Debug Patch
NFL Quarter Back Club (World): Listed as working on RetroAcheivements site but no achievements are triggering.
Pit Figther (Beta) is required. I decided to keep this one in the list. I am not quite sure what the difference is between "world" and "beta", but either way I am sure it isn't good.
Shadow of the Beat is listed twice on RetroAchievements. Shadow of the Beast and Shadow of the Beast: Mashou no Okite. Since both versions are grouped toghether in LaunchBox, only the USA version has been selected.
Streets of Rage 3 instead of Bare Knuckle III. Bare Knuckle is the better of the two, but opted for the USA set since they are grouped together and not sure what the target audience would prefer.
Sylvester and Tweety in Cagey Capers: Requires Cheat Protection Patch
Tougi-Ou: King Colossus: Needs a GoodSet english translation version.
Twinkle Tale: Requires a patched ROM.

There are a few odds and ends that need more research, but there is nothing that I think anyone will miss. Consider this a work in progress nonetheless. Hope you enjoy.

  5. Mattel Intellivision RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 16 of the 18 games RetroArch supports for the Intellivision. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 16 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20220809-172702 DAT.

The two games I left out were Flapee Bird and Tag-Along Todd; both homebrew and not part of the last official No-Intro set.

  6. Atari 2600 RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 119 Atari 2600 games that work with RetroAchievements. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 119 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20221215-125422 DAT.

Even though Big Bird's Egg Catch and Cookie Monster Munch both show as compatible, I elected to remove those from the list. Both require a custom patch to be applied before it will work. Those patches can be found on the RetroAchievements website if you can't live without them.

  7. ColecoVision RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 16 ColecoVision games that work with RetroAchievements. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 16 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20221215-125422 DAT. Only Sudoku is missing which isn't in the latest No-Intro set.

  8. I found a ticket related to this issue on the bug report site. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3722/add-and-fields-into-the-platform-xml-for

Sounds like a lot of the work of adding alternate names was done but often gets removed by well meaning helpers thinking the name is wrong or isn’t needed. Hopefully a longer term fix will get done at some point. I would add them all myself if I knew the work wouldn’t be wiped out. I appreciate your help and input.

  9. Nintendo Entertainment System RetroAchievements Support

    View File

This playlists contains 686 NES games that work with RetroAchievements. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 686 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20221215-125422 DAT.

There are a handful of missing games. Either all versions of the ROMs didn't trigger the achievement modal or the ROM wasn't present in the version of the No-Intro DAT indicated.

  10. There are other homebrew that seem to work named as they are.

I noticed the alternate name is set on this one in the format that you mentioned.

    image.thumb.png.f833e02f6a0a027885365c44be480619.png

I tried setting the alternate name in the same way on 8bit Rhythm Land but that doesn't work. It did work if I set the main name exactly as you indicated on the record, but that is not ideal. I guess I'll live without the few that won't work right instead of destroying the names.

  11. Occasionally, a game that has achievements doesn't indicate that within LaunchBox. Is there a way to create the relationship so the available and completed achievements will appear? I'm not exactly sure how LaunchBox knows when to show the panel and tab or not.

This game for example has achievements and will work just fine using RetroArch with this version of the game.

This is the data that is missing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  12. I have mitigated this particular crash issue by changing the "wait time" to 30 minutes and the "time between movements" to 5 minutes in the attract mode settings. It hasn't crashed in a few weeks with these settings. Feels like a memory leak. If I reset it back to the original values I'm back to daily crashes so I'll stick with this for now until a permanent fix can be found.

  13. Occasionally I need to remove the playlists from a platform category. If I use the option when right clicking on a category and selecting the option to remove all playlists, it will sometimes destroy the structure of similar naming categories. For example, I just removed them from Nintendo Game Boy and all the playlists for Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Nintendo Game Boy Color were set with no parent as well making a mess of things. I then have go delete 100 playlists by hand and then rebuild them for those two.

It will work most of the time leaving only behind the playlists I created manually, but it can be frustrating to have to cleanup a mess like that. Is there a better way to accomplish a complete wipe of playlists from a category? I'd prefer not to have to delete anything but there has been a long standing issue of scanning for new ROMs and it sometimes doesn't import them because a version of the ROM is already present and it will ignore the ROM but show that it is ready for import the next time you run it. The only way I have been able to get around that is to delete the entire platform and start over. Any tips would be appreciated.

  14. I'm not sure what else to provide. There is nothing besides those two entries I posted. There are other events before and after the crash but it is just general informational noise unrelated to BigBox and most contain 1 line indicating some task being executed. There are logs every time it crashes and all looks somewhat similar to what I provided. If you have some examples of what I should be looking for I would be more than happy to get it, but I'm just not seeing anything else useful. There is a large text file in the debug folder, but even that looks unremarkable from start to end.

  15. @C-Beats got some error logs for you.
