ok well at present if I click on a game the background shows the game and I see the screenshots in the bottom corner. The images which are not showing are the game/boxart images. so if I delete the cache folder, open launchbox it should remake the cache folder and download the boxart images again?
-
so delete the cache folder (which when I try to open says its corrupted????) and then re-open launchbox and it should make a new cache folder with the images back?
-
ok new problem.........it reinstalled over my previos version, opened up....now I have NO thumbnails for any of the games installed.....how do I fix this? EDIT I try to play anything and it says could not parse images from the following folder d:launchbox/images/cache then it just crashes
-
HOW exactly? I have the latest setup downloaded but I read u have to be careful doing this my setup is D - Launhcbox folder - then in the folder it has all the folders ect do I install the NEW version in the launchbox FOLDER or the actual folder itself were all the data is? when installing should it just say D;launchbox or D;launchbox;launchbox sorry to sound dumb
-
ok rather serious issue here and I dunno how to fix this so hopefully someone can help I was last in my launchbox iin JANUARY as I was working rather hard since then and hadn't had the time to mess on my gaming pc much. I went to open launchbox today (14/04/18) and now nothing happens. I double click on launchbox and nothing what-so-ever happens. I can access the HDD and I opened the emulator for ps2 and got a game to boot up. So the drive isn't damaged but no matter what ive tried I cannot get launchbox to open suggestions? I know this might sound dumb but IF I downloaded the LATEST launchbox and installed it OVER my current one would that fix it? or would that just delete all my games and bios's and everything else
-
ok so I tried to open my launchbox today and instead of opening up at all I got this message it appears that your launchbox/data/sony playstation/xml.file is corrupt. launchbox cannot continue. please try restoring a backup of the file from the backups folder in your launchbox root folder. Invalid character in given encoding lin 1 position 1 - launchbox refuses to open up at all because of this message and ive never had it before and am unsure what I am meant to do to fix this problem any help or advice would be great

steam sales are a joke unless your Russian and the games actually ARE on a sale Everything ive ever seen on steams-so-called sales has been cheaper on ebay or g2a or gmg or many many other places I get it, steam bullshit us these days and lie because to them its all about profit now...........HOWEVER I do math as part of my job..........and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this BUT : - the games are not physical, your downloading a copy from a set of HDDs in a server room, you don't own anything physical and everything is digital. No money is being lost on making physical copies, you sell X game at 15-20 and you sell MORE of it because people want it/see its going cheap/buy from you which = to YOU actually making more money because no physical copy is being sold only a digital download. You sell a game at a higher price like 40-60 and only the rich lot buy it like the DOA5 costumes which = to LESS sales which = to LESS more which = to LESS profit steam giving us the whole bs of - we let companies choose how much to sell a game at - I'm sorry that's just bullshit on a grand scale. I'm no steve hawkings but I'm sure as shit that at that meeting ONE person would have explained what I just said to them at that meeting. Multi-million dollar companies cant be that stupid to not realise what ive just mentioned
-
well I JUST found out that Fate has been released on steam - for ONCE and that it was released like a week ago........but because of all the bullshit android/mobile games plastered all over the store page I never saw it. Went to look at new releases and had to go back 7 pages to find that 1 game among all the crap android style games Seriously people give EA shit all the time but at least Origin isn't full of this crap
-
Ive had this awful feeling for awhile now but everytime I switch on my gaming pcs and steam boots up I just end up feeling sick and disappointed when I'm shown the frontpage on the store and see nothing but endless bullshit android/mobile phone games and then seeing steam lie and pushing these games as -top sellers- or claiming my friends have them and then when I ask them they have no idea what I'm going on about. Ever since green light was removed it seems that ANYONE can just give steam $100 and then steam will instantly put this on the front page no matter how crap or how unfinished it is and then push that rather than a decent game. I haven't enjoyed anything on steam in MONTHS now because all the AAA titles these days seem to just be super short/over priced/joke priced dlc and the games I have been wanting to play usually just end up disappointing me because there either too short or nothing like what I expected. I remember when steam used to have amazing games like L4D2/Dragon Age/Oblivion and dozens of other great games.......I turn steam on today and I just get force fed android/mobile games not matter how many times I click NOT INTERESTED. If it wasn't for my launchbox with games like persona4/shenmue2 etc etc etc I think I would have given up with gaming all together. I was excited to play Sega hard girls VS Neptunia..............which I pretty much completed in a weekend..........yet Nep7 took me several months to complete fully (I can only play on fri and sat due to work etc) I know some of my friends on steam feel the same way and I was just curious has anyone else here pretty much just stopped playing on steam and just sticks to there launchbox? it just feels as if steam doesn't care anymore and just wants to make a quick buck without actually caring about the customer anymore
-
saw the steam sales today............what an utter disappointment............again........like last time and the time before that seriously the steam sales are just so crap these days. I can find everything cheaper on g2a or ebay or amazon or anywere else other than steam these days unless its like a steam exclusive game and then I have to find someone who got it via a cheaper method who can then gift it me once I pay for it the only problem is............I find I'm not interested in pretty much all the games on steam these days. Since I got my launchbox hdd with all these games on I just really do feel like most games today are utter crap - especially the AAA so called titles - and I just feel like the games I do want (which ive noticed most are anime/manga related) are kinda cheaper on the consoles.......so since some NEVER come to the pc like the FATE series I'm wondering if I should actually get a console or not. Ive no idea how well the ps4 or xbox1 run as a system but considering there past track records am I looking at 1 years worth out of them before they brick and I have to buy a new one? Most of the games on steam which I do want are still too much for the asking price. Senran Estival for example you can get on the consoles for under £10 yet its like twice that much on the pc and that's without most of the dlc and a small online community I really do miss the days of great steam sales when they sold LOADS of games because they went for low prices which = more sales t the companies which = more money. These days the so-called sales just mean less sales which = less money for the companies and steam. I don't understand WHY they don't make the prices what they used to be when they sold more because there not making or selling an actual physical copy of anything. There just essentially copying a game from a hDD off a server which then gets copied again and again and again - no money is lost because nothing physical is made. so why still sell the game for a high price when selling it cheaper = more sales and more money? maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy in my late 30s
-
so u think if I wana play persona 4 arena it might be best for me to get my old 360 outa the loft and just buy the game off ebay or something? otherwise I'm gona be looking at afew years of waiting right?
-
Im just curious but hows things with the xbox360 emulation process going if anyone has any information? I just really would like to play games like persona 4 arena, Catherine and a bunch of other games without having to resort buying a 360 + setting it up when I don't have the space/room and same again with any other gaming console
-
so everyone is basically saying to update to 17 from 16 has anyone here updated from 16 to 17 as afew videos say doing this I might lose some of my add-ons and I might even get a stall issue were the only way to fix this would be to clear the cache and the data folder basically making 17 a fresh install but that I would lose everything
-
but you can play virtua fighter 4 evolution on the ps2 emulator and its better than the Naomi version.........so I don't see a point to it really can you tell me what settings you have for your zombie revenge to run (the am2 version) as mine wont load no matter what options I select it to
-
Persona 4 on the ps2 emulator seriously I LOVE my launchbox - so far ive finished these which I just never got around to when I was younger such as Shenmue 1, Shenmue 2, I haven't touched steam almost all year and have really fallen out of love with current gaming. the ONLY game I'm looking forward to this year on pc is SuperDimensional Neptunia Vs Sega Hard Girls......................and that's it..................nothing else looks any good these days
-
I mean more along the lines of this You can play Fighting Vipers 2 on the AM2 board - but WHY when you can just get the dreamcast version which works perfectly? The AM2 version has loads of issues such as stage 1 will work perfectly, stage 2 runs super slowly like the games lagging, stage 3 will run fine, stage 4 runs slow again etc etc Yet the dreamcast version just works perfectly I just really don't see the need for the AM2/3/Naomi when the dreamcast versions work much better. ONLY reason I can see to get the AM2 version of anything would be zombie revenge and that's only because I CANNOT complete it at all on the dreamcast version. so using an arcade version were you can just add credit after credit might be better for that game seriously I'm 35 tomorrow and I STILL cant complete dreamcast zombie revenge yet there are videos of people doing it on 1 credit

what do the games look like once full screen in madnafen? - ie do they look good still or become a pixelated mess
-
crap..........I don't have a dvd drive anymore........I never used it so took it out and just used the sata cable to connect my 2nd hdd I assume these daemon tools make the bin/cue into a single type of iso file? then the ssf boots up thinking its loading an actual disk?
-
Ok well back on track is SSF (or is it sse again?) if I wanted to just play 1 game is that any easier to use? I heard its meant to be better than yuabuse but its more difficult to get to work? is that actually true or is it more easier than what I'm thinking it is
-
so........that's via the googleplay store then yeah? how do I put this delicately .............since I'm getting a lack of certain hd options with Jarvis - would I get more with krypton? I remember reading awhile ago its because certain links were chaning format r something along those lines
-
exactly yet there are afew sites were the game has been chopped up onto 3 seprate parts the first disk ends when u try to leave the milians star system and it never loads anything past that but a black screen - I goggled and found afew people had this problem. Apparently the single iso disk is meant to be rare............yet I found it in about 4 minutes HOWEVER loading from the save state still caused the same issues. I found I had to load from a normal ps2 save from before a certain event in order for the game to work
-
well if I updated from Jarvis to krypton...........would all my current settings be the same? ie I wouldn't lose anything ive Already got set up?
-
What I meant what for example when I look at ps2 emulator compatability list (pspx2 - ive spelled it wrong I know) it has a list but it doesn't say any work-arounds or the main various issues or if its possible to complete a game with those problems etc etc Like for example - the issue I had recently with xenosaga 1 - it was cut up into 3 disks when its meant to be on 1. Not everyone knows this with the emulated version. I also found fixes for the bacl screen with rader issues which no one seems to have said anything about. The slowdown issue with the mechs on how to fix that or the general slowdown in places without a reason Hence why I was thinking since I'm always messing with stuff if I should bother or not to wtite any of this down as a compendium considering if I knew what I know now 3 motnsh ago I would have had a much easier experience sliding into launchbox and running the various games etc as for the Saturn.........trust me your wrong on this one....I was a MASSIVE sega fan. I want to all the conventions in the uk and met a lot of the guys who worked for sega USA/Jap/UK and was a huge sonic lover...........then the Saturn happened............then the 32x.............then they promised to fix things with the dreamcast and almost did but for some reason didn't release half the stuff that was ever made for it outside of japan. I just felt so let down with sega that even today I find it hard to forgive them, take sonic generations - utter crap after the first 3 levels. Sonic colours is a much better game yet even that's missing something to make it brilliant. Everything else sega has done since then has just been a massive disapointment The only games I loved on the Saturn were virtua on, guardian heroes, darkstalkers. Daytona usa, panzer dragoon 2, burning rangers and that's pretty much it
-
I gather I update via the google playstore? or is there another method I'm missing? on the device I'm using I mean
-
its just complicated that's all. I'm already working on tweeking the ps2 emulator, dreamcast emulator and various others to get things running perfectly. Honestly all I seem to do since I got my launchbox 2tb hdd is TEST games to make sure there working and then eventually playing them I'm actually at the point were I was gona ask Brad if anyone has done a compendium of each game and if your able to complete each game and what each games emulating issues are etc as ive been doing so many I think I could probably write a whole books worth on what has what issues, how to fix what issue etc etc I just haven't seen it here before so was starting to think since I'm always doing this kinda stuff asking about it Seeing the Saturn emulator tho and really just wanting to play 1 soul game.........it looks like a damn lot of effort.......its not like the ps2 emulator were you have classic after classic or the various other consoles. The Saturn in general was rather crap........I remember being so disappointed with it and then when I got a ps1 with tekken 2 I couldn't belive the difference in quality
