yeah I saw that Saturn video yesterday and it looked rather difficult as I need to download the emulator then x3 file and then notepad ++ etc etc Isnt the Saturn retroarch emulator able to download on its own via launchbox or something? I really just want to play gaudrian heroes if I'm honest and it seems like a LOT of effort into getting it up and running. I can get it to load on yabusa but the second I fullscreen it the game looks a pixalated mess does the xbox live version run off an emulator?

I'm just curious if anyone else here uses kodi and if they have had any issues recently. I'm currently in the UK and ive noticed over the past few months either a lot of support seems to be stopping for Jarvis or there forcing people onto 17 build or the ISp are blocking a fair few sites (I'm not sure why they bother considering you can just use ghost5 if your on a pc - however I use an android box) So has anyone else had any issues with theres recently?

i know this might sound stupid but whats the retroarche core thing you guys keep going on about? wasnt that meant to be something for the raspberry pi? I only really want to play guardian heroes, die hard arcade, panzer dragoon 2 and fighters megamix and that's pretty much it......MAYBE virtua on 1 I only seem to have the yabussa emulator in my launchbox so is it possible to add the rtoarch thingy to it? if so then how? also how complicated is it to install? all I SERIOUSLY want to play again is guardian heroes the most

so does everyone just use Mednafen as the main Saturn emulator now? is it working 100% or should I expect issues like what yabusa has given me

Ive been messing with the Saturn emulator for awhile now and I just cannot seem to get this to work right no matter what I do. I have heard that emulating the Saturn was meant to be difficult and now basically abandoned but is emulating the sega Saturn really this difficult? I have yabusa (spelled wrong I know but its 03.47am here right now) and no matter what options I put theres ALWAYS something wrong with whatever game I try and play in it. I try and play guardian heroes and it opens up in software mode and is slow, I change it to openGL and the screen then just goes all messed up. Speed it correct but backgrounds either mix together or I get pixelated mess at the top and bottom of the screen. I try and play die hard arcade and the game starts off ok with sound and everything.......yet once I have control of my character all sound and sfx have gone! even in openGl mode the games slow. This seems to follow for pretty much every other Saturn game I try to run............ Ive followed a lot of instructions about the cue.sheets and how most games from romhustler and other sites already have the cue sheets with them and that they should just work straight away yet I always find NOTHING works with the Saturn. Yet if I download something for my ps2 emulator or something else I usually don't have these problems Theres only like 4 Saturn games I really want to play and I just cant because of issue A or issue B. I have heard that SSE works better but that its much more difficult to get to actually work right. Was the Saturn just a nightmare to deal with or was it that the creators didn't care to much about the Saturn? it just doesn't feel as if its had as much effort put into it like other emulators have

this might sound like an odd question but why use Naomi at all? I only say this because I have Naomi, am2 and am3 for my demul and found them to be difficult to work even at the best of times my demul has been fucked up since the windows 10 new update as I STILL cannot get it to open in fullscreen without it setting the tv into 24z mode The only real reason I even touch the am2/3 is because the Saturn emulator it utter crap. everything else ive found just seems to run or work better on other programs such as Naomi 2 has VF4 but it works better when running on the ps2 emulator pcsx2 Are there any exclusives we didn't get for consoles because aside from playing a pritter version of fighting vipers and vf2 I don't really touch it much myself

so I'm still new to launchbox but I got this message today when I opened up my launchbox is it ok to say YES to update? it wont mess up any of my files or settings will it? or change any directories ive made or anything else like that I just worry about updating and it screwing something up

sorry for the late reply guys as ive been busy with work to be honest all of those I always felt were crap - the only TRUE masterpiece there which was an exclusive was panzer dragoon orta that was an AMAZING game and I never understood why this didn't get ported to the ps2 like pretty much everything else was if anything I would LOVE just to replay that game again

honestly isn't it kinda pointless to emulate the original xbox? I cant think of anything off the top of my head ASIDE from the awesome HALO2 which was really an exclusive on the original xbox that wasn't just ported to the ps2. I'm not saying I wouldn't mind an original xbox emulator but all things considering wouldn't it be better spent on the 360 or ps3 emulator

ok guys I found what the problem was - if anyone in future needs it the game is meant to be 1 single iso file and u CANT load your game from a LOAD state or else it messes the game data up itself. you have to load from the games saved data directly (ie the ps2 save you would do in game normally) then once u get past the messed up part u can do a save state via the emulator so if anyone in future is looking for the answer its meant to be 1 single iso file

wait I'm lost.....can you now emulate xbox games into launchbox? didn't pretty much everything aside from halo get ported to the ps2?

I'm downloading the game again from "some rom site" to see if that works any better as the guy I got the hdd from didn't really answer me were he got it from...so I don't have much of a choice really. its rather annoying as at first he was a big help but now I just get the feeling he doesn't give a crap I really wish there was something for people to avoid all these problems. I try/test all these games most days but I'm not sure if I did a type of guide or whatever were I could put it or if anyone would even use it EDIT - ok confused here now I downloaded the game from romhustler and yet its just 2 files - 1 iso file which is 7.88GB and a MDS file??????? the current game in my launchbox games folder is 3 separate iso files saying disk 1 2 3 so er....what gives?

not too sure what you mean by CSo and the other parts . I basically got my 2TB launchbox off someone who had put all these games on already etc it took me an AGE to just get xenosaga to even load properly as the stupid settings for this emulator never said if I wanted things to rfun smoothly I had to disable (set to none) a feature on the video plug-ins graphics section The game itself ran fine until I called for a giant robot and then the game super slowed down and I had to f9 to OPENGL-software from hardware so it would run correctly Now I'm at this point in the game and am unsure why its booting up the wrong fmv or even when I skip it I just geta blank screen I ASSUME even if I did get another copy of the 1st disk that means my save state would be gone correct? is there a way for me to tell if its a bad rip or not?

I'm not sure were your on about brad, are you saying I need to install a patch for the game? if so were do I get it and how do I install it if that is the problem edit - if your on about GAME FIXED on the pcsx2 emulator then no I don't see xenosaga there anywere I treied to enable the hack which cuts out the fmv all together and I still ended up with a black screen and a radar and nothing else. Everything else seems like random options and then stuff for ffx or persona games, sadly I don't see anything for xenosaga

hi brad I did google xenosaga 1 black screen showing radar - it can up with afew links but none of them would open - all 404 files so I'm not the only person who has had this issue before. However because none of the pages will open I cant find out how/if these people fixed the issue or not

Ok I was playing xenosaga 1 on it perfectly for the current week and ive just gotten to the part were you leave this docking station doing repairs to the elsa the secen right after the ship takes off for some reason shows the wrong fmv and shows the intro fmv but it screws up half way through. If I pause the game and press triangle to skip past the scene I then end up with a BLACk screen and the radar showing in the bottom corner. I can go into my character menu but then do nothing else as I just have a black screen and nothing else at all Ive tried messing with F9 to change the graphics to hardware/software and ive messed with afew other settings but cannot seem to get anything to show up no matter what settings I mess with. My friend said that this happens a lot with the pcsx2 emulator? is this true? Is there a work around for this issue as I was wanting to actually play xenosaga 1 again.....

i don't understand why windows 10 FORCES stuff on you which your NEVER going to use.......windows vista and 7 gave you a choice of what updates you wanted to install but 10 forces everything upon you even when you don't want it to and because of this my dreamcast emulator is now screwed up when it worked fine before currently I NOW cannot log into steam either and it keeps saying I cant connect (its 20.51uk time) is this yet ANOTHER windows issue or is this something to do with steam?

I don't even have an option for 24 hz on this tv.........that's why I'm so confused.... the pc is connected via a hdmi cable to my pc to the tv. my kodi box is connect via the other hdmi and both run at 60hz. Right now I'm running at 60hz IF I open the dreamcast emulator up and then minimize it then it runs at 60hz, if I then go to the settings and set it to 1920x1080 it still stays at 60hz only I have the menu at the top of the screen and the image is a tad squashed. Yet the second I THEN press alt/enter to go into fullscreen..........bam........24hz mode and slow as hell mode begins Open dolphin, play sonic colors for wii - runs 60hz perfectly, same for ps1 games and psp etc etc its just the dreamcast one. I feel like an idiot because I KNOW this is going to be something like the ps2 emulator (pcpsx2 or whatever it is) were you have to in-tick a box for the games to run properly in the video settings

My specs are as follows GTX 970 16Gb Ram 500Gb HDD 2TB HDD (were all the emulators are ect I7 930 not sure what else should be needed info wise.... I have my pc connected upto a TV downstairs which is why I don't understand how the hell the dreamcast emulator does to 24hz when in fullscreen as everything else runs PERFECTLY in 60hz Ive attached a pic so people can see its connected upto my tv and has no issues at all but when I boot up the dreamcast emulator in fullscreen mode it jumps to 24hz and is in-usable. Its an old pic I know -last xmas I cant be the only person using DemUL and had it working perfectly, did the windows 10 update and now its fucked. I looked on the Demul forums and no one else has said anything about it....it cant JUST be me

i was really hoping this would fix it but sadly - NOPE........... I just found the settings and changed them and it didn't change anything. I'm not 100% sure if the DPI scaling thing would do anything or not either so I'm still stuck were I was before Typical micosoft....lets release something we haven't fully tested and fuck a lot of things up for people in the process.

Guys I THINK ive found whats causing the issue but do not know how to fix it when the emulator boots up its starting at 24HZ instead of 60hz any idea why its doing this or how I can fix it

is DemUl working fine for everyone else in fullscreen? the guy I got my 2TB hdd says its working ok for him but he hasn't been forced to update his windows yet. I think that might be a different story once he has updated however I wanted to contact MetalliC on the deamul forums but he says himself in a thread he doesn't test/play games on it so I don't think he could be much help if he never uses it himself these days. I just feel stuck and I cant figure out why the hell it isn't working yet everything else seems to be working fine now

didn't even know there was a demul website/forum would just mean I would have to register there and everything wouldn't it?
