Interesting. I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers so it can't be related to that either. Windows is funny like that!

Most likely, some recent BigBox changes broke the workaround as you are the first ones to mention this issue since V2 was released over 2 years ago.
I’ll see what I can do once I get your feedback.
Ok so the problem persisted even at 100% DPI (no scaling). I suppose something changed in the code?

I hadn’t noticed in the past. Will try on the weekend and report back.

Got there in the end. I just let it do its things for some 15 min and it eventually worked. Subsequent runs are much faster now.

I'm with iiNet in Australia. Should i try re-routing my traffic through a VPN? Perhaps it doesn't like people Down Under.
EDIT: Tried that but to no avail.

Hey @Jason Carr, is there an issue with the database? Trying to import some roms and it doesn't go any further than 'Refreshing local metadata from Launchbox Games Databse.' Just an infinite loop.
I think this happened previously. When I uncheck the recommended option during the importing wizard and use Wikipedia it works a charm.

Could be just me but since upgrading to 9.9 when I start LB sometimes it unchecks the game details or platform views on its own, meaning I have to manually enable them again. It typically happens after a PC restart but cannot accurately be reproduced. Seems random.
Did that happen to anyone else before?

Startup window feature is amazing, thanks Jason!
In saying that, is there a way to turn this off for games that have no emulator assigned to them (i.e. Steam)?
EDIT: Figured it out. Go to Steam/Windows platform, select all games and use bulk edit wizard to override startup screen settings.

Hey mate, thanks for doing this - great effort! May I suggest you add the Medal of Honor series to your to do list? Specifically MoH Frontline and Rising Sun would be nice. Interested to see what you make of Mercenaries, apparently that game has serious issues.

@Thornback what bombshell exactly did I drop ? The only posts I have in this thread is one saying great job on the plugin and the other letting Alec know that Launchbox Next is now feature complete and replaced the old LB.
Don’t worry, mate. I was just having a laugh. Reading through the posts submitted in August, it was somewhat funny to see how alec wasn’t even fully across LB Next, only for you to proclaim “Welcome to the new world - old LB is gone!”
All in good fun though. Didn’t mean it literally.

@alec100_94 It was amusing indeed! I thought you may have put the project on hold after Lordmonkus had essentially dropped the bombshell. Then Zombeaver and neil stepped up saying a new version was in the works - for a second there I thought you had been overthrown!
I was then proclaimed a magical butterfly for still having a version that works in 8.6 - I thought great, I'm special! Turns out I'm on version 0.96 yet the latest Alpha is 0.995. ?
Anyway, I'm glad the whole truth has been uncovered.
