  1. Hi! When I try to connect to my network drive, Launchbox shows this error: Value cannot be null (Parameter 'source'). Any idea what it could be? Fixed: It was fixed with a network settings reset on windows

  2. Hi! First of all, sorry for my bad english. Is it easy to delete the downloaded game, or do you have to go to the file manager on the phone to delete the ROM?
  3. Long time ago I made a tuto in a Spanish forum using the plugin "Copy metadata". This is the tuto (Google translated): *For this tuto we will use the descriptions from the "Screenscraper" page. Nowadays Launchbox does not allow to add more languages to its database, so when we scrape the games we always get the descriptions in English. In Screenscraper they do have the database in Spanish and they have a program to massively modify the launcbox, but the bad thing is that "bursts" the list. If you compare the platform.xml you will see that they are very different. That means that with modifications that are made in the launchbox, errors may arise. But there is a "simple" way to put the official playlist in Spanish and thus have the good of both worlds. Mini tutorial is coming [smile]. (All this process its done with Launchbox closed) The first thing is to make a backup copy of our platform.xml files. These files are located in the launchbox folder which by default is installed in: C:\Usuarios(here your name)\Launchbox\Data\Platforms. There we will see "Sega Dreamcast.xml" "Super nintendo.xml" etc... (All the lists of which you have imported games will appear). We copy those files and we leave them safely, since those we are going to burst them. Now it's time to install the skraper program: https://www.skraper.net/ Once installed, we choose a console to work with. For the example I am going to use the Dreamcast. We choose the directory of the roms and we specify platform, like this: In "Game list" we put it like this: In "Metadata" we leave it by default, and in "Media" we erase everything. That is to say, we mark "Use special configuration for Dreamcast" and we erase everything pressing the scissors. A warning pops up, we say yes, and it stays this way: And press play. Now in the folder "platforms" we will have 2 Dreamcast lists. - Sega dreamcast backup.xml (this will be in english) - Sega dreamcast.xml (this will be in spanish, but it won't be like the original playlist). We take this "Sega dreamcast.xml" in english to a separate folder of your choice by cut/paste. Remember where you put it. And rename the "Sega dreamcast backup.xml" to "Sega dreamcast.xml". So that in the platforms folder there is only an original "Sega dreamcast.xml" in English. With that we have finished with the Skraper program. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Launchbox we install this plugin: Basically it is to download the zip. Unzip it and copy the folder in the "Launchbox\Plugins" directory. Open Launchbox and go to Sega Dremcast. Select all the games by pressing the "control+A" key and click on "Tools". We will see that below our installed plugin appears: Now press copy metada and in "Source" we choose the "Sega dreamcast.xml" that previously we have burst (the one that you have taken out of the folder and I have told you to remember where you put it XD). We mark ONLY THE "Notes" BOX. The rest leave them alone. Like this: Now press import and in less than a second it tells us that it has been a success. We go to edit any game and voila: Final result: When finish, close the Launchbox and check in platforms folder there is only one "Sega Dreamcast.xml" and that it is in English (you can open it with notepad and check if the descriptions are in our language). Sorry if the tuto sounds a little bit complicated. Actually it is very simple and it is only four clicks. If you have any doubt I'm here. Edit: Summing up: create a xml in your language, use the copy metada plugin for copy only the "Notes". Enjoy.
