  1. Heres the link to my marquee projects. The later on stuff is much better
  2. That cab is amazing. The shape is exactly like mine only my button lay out is different. So big post you got so if i miss anything please let me know. Trust me its really cool to have someone share there build with me. I live in vermont in the middle of the woods and i swear im the only person around here that mostly knows how to do this stuff. Im so happy the off topic helped. It helped me also because sirfirboy bobby taught me some ausome skills to build control scheme directions and helped me with video making for marquee videos. At the bottom of this post il point you to 2 other posts I have that may interest you. As for the health deeply apreciated. I just have a insane amount of inflimation in my chest. Hoping it calms down so i can start making crazy stuff again. Didnt have time to plug in the arcade. Its all put together but the pc is upstairs with me so I can play with it when im resting. As for the sticks, i just keep them as full anologue. I have octoganal gates to help make it feel like a anologue dpad essentially. Steam defently perfers this with games that use anologue and you shouldnt run into probs with mame. So to program your ipacs ultimates, your right, they work when both plugged in but in order to program there functions, you have to have them plugged in 1 at a time. The buttons i have programed as button 1 button 2 ect... Then my function buttons are enter for play, volume up and down ect... Heres where i got creative. Now im no expert and just figured this out on my own. In led blinky, i told the ultimate io boards that my buttons are keyboard keys even tho there not. One of the apps that led blinky has, the one that tells the pc what button is each light. The reason why is if your running x360ce so steam will recognize your controls, this makes led blinky strugle to know whats what in mame because its seeing the xbox buttons and not your virtual gamepad buttons from the ipac. example. All 4 players on my board have 7 buttons. 9 including start and coin/select. Buttons 1 through 7 are a,b,c,d,e,f,g in led blinky. But on my ipac its buttons 1,2,3,4,5,6 7,start,select. P2 would be h,i,j,k,l,m,n and so on. The start buttons for each player is 1,2,3,4 and coin is 5,6,7,8. If this needs to be explained better let me know. Long story short, tell led blinky your buttons are keyboard keys even tho its not, then when you code your lights per game, you can say i need a,b,1,5 on for p1 for super mario bros for nes. H,i,2,6 on for p2 Thats exciting you have a swivel mount. I too have one. Theres so much more then vertical mame you can do. You can use blue stacks which is a android emulator to play phone games. You can have a gaint ds/3ds. It also makes great for full size pinball. Just so much possibilities. Now for your lights are they just led or are they rgb programable lights? Feel free to message me anytime. Not a bother at all. Hopefully this all works out great for you. Its hard to go back to playing console when you make something as ausome as this. Heres my build at my old house sence we are sharing. 20210403_161106.mp4
  3. Its been so long sence i did all that. If i remember correctly you cant costamize both bords with winpac at the same time. I have my u360 sticks plugged in usb. I have a pinball plunger that is used as the right stick of a xbox controller using x360. My arcade is not hooked up atm because of some health probs and moving. But id be happy to figure this out. X360ce and that firmware were the only way i could get the controls to merge with my usb sticks and register as one controller. X360ce gave me trouble because it cant use the same input on 2 controllers meaning you cant use keyboard keys as buttons for all 4 players. Thats why that firmware is nice because it allows your pc to see 4 controllers and a keyboard so you can have your close, play, and volume controls ect. Makes me happy this helped someone. Maybe i can get it all hooked up and see what i find for you
  4. So i bought a bunch of switch online controllers from ebay. I wanted the most athentic experience with nintendo branded controllers. I found a app called better joy. This app is amazing. It allows me to use my n64, snes, sfc, and the 6 button sega mega drive controller. The nes (which i dont have) and famicom controllers are different then the others. They atatch on the side of the switch and seem to register as joy cons. Better joy really freaks out when i try to use the famicom controllers and in retroarch, ive only gotten the a and b button to register. It wont detect the sr, sl and d pad directions. Has any one attemped to try these and had any sucsess?
  5. You may wana post this in noobs or trouble shoot. You can use any image or video for the marquee. If you want to use a box front image. Coppy those images into the marquee folder
  6. I am trying to get some footage for the nintendo ds for a project. I have the bios. It is named correct. I am using retroarch with melon ds core. I set the core to have it so it dosent boot directly into a game. It just goes to the main menu. I really want that boot up logo with the text on the bottom screen. I looked online and I only see the top screen showing the logo. Can anyone give me any advice on how to get the boot up logo to appear before it goes to the main menu? Here is an example of what I did with the gameboy. I want to do the same but with the ds 1769134388_DonkeyKongLand.mp4
  7. I'm in the process of making a bunch of dynamic marquee videos. I'm set with the arcade because those have marquees already. I've been browsing around and found some really cool ones (il use ps1 as an example) where its on top of a ps1 and it shows the disc in the middle with the box on the left and the logo on the right. Instead what I want to do is have a blank spine for each system, then 1 by 1 add a logo of what game is being played there instead. On my control templet slide, I show off the buttons used on the arcade and usually have a demo screen of sorts to show off more basic controls the led blinky doesn't get to show off (Like pressing down up for a super jump in Marvel vs Capcom). There is room on both the left and the right of the logo. On the left I was thinking of using a silver ring logo of the system that is playing, on the right of the logo I wanted to have the disc of the game spinning. I know with unified I believe, you can make it so the disc spins. Is that footage I can grab and put into my project? If not is there a way to record that animation? Here is the project I'm working on for a better explanation. Towards the bottom is where it gets better. The earlier ones were throwing darts tell something landed
  8. Ya I had no idea either! Theres just so much potential
  9. Ok well If you need any help trimming videos or any request at all, let me know. If you want so this doesn't get more bloated, I can post them somewhere else. Maybe on this forum I can just do button layouts or something
  10. 161360506_AlienVsPredator(Short).mp4 284176122_AlienVsPredator(Long).mp4
  11. I updated this one. Did more of a fade this time around. Thought it fit the arcade better. I also kinda went over kill and added the logo at the end. This one almost clocks in at 3 min but this one is a personal favorite of mine with the demo screens. I'm more then happy to cut those out if requested and that would really shorten it
  12. Ok the shorter designs are starting to grow on me. The main menu is really cool cause it gives this great glowing moving logo feel that pops. I may just stick with these for now on. I can trim the logo video shorter if needed. Might look better with out the get ready and explosion 524539010_SuperSmashBrosMelee(Short).mp4
  13. Here's a example of it shortened. Thoughts? 854087544_SuperSmashBrosShort.mp4
  14. Sorry to spam, Could you provide me with background you want for your cab for the templet? I know you use a 6 button lay out with eclipse caps. Wile I wait for that il just use the one already made and do the shorter video to see if you like it
  15. Here's a updated smash melee. I think to archive these I will have a short and long section to make things easier. Just wana play with smaller ones till I get it right 2056036496_SuperSmashBros.Melee.mp4
  16. I did save the power point presentations. What I can do to shorten time more, I have it set to 10 sec for the photos. Could set that lower. You don't have to have the video at the end either. I mean they would be really easy fixes to narrow it down. Let me play with it and see what I can come up with
  17. I'm really happy you like them. I really enjoy the long ones. But like you said, its a preference thing. I'm more then willing to make small and large ones. There surprisingly easy to make if you got the patience for it. I also would love to make some to match your cab as a thank you
  18. I added a few slides to smash 64 video. Wanted to show off some of the game manual. I found that I didn't want every page because a lot of it was small text and kind of boring. So I spliced a items page and re arranged the page numbers to make it look like 1 page. The reason I spliced the one page to the right was because it was a right page, meaning the fold looked better on the right then being all the way to the left. I'm sure that can be improved and changed some transitions like the control page from your templet now peels instead because its 1 piece. Did the same for the items page just because it does not look right folding in the middle with 3 pages
  19. Cause I was on such a role, I thought I'd try a game with the box up and down, not sideways like the 64. Its not as smooth going from the back of the box too the controls. I tried the flip transition and it's just really weird going from half the screen to full screen. Your very limited by transitions because the black on the left and right of the box count as part of the transition in power point. But none the less it looks good. If someone would prefer a different transition for that one part its a easy fix 1578032810_SuperSmashBrosMelee.mp4
  20. Boy am I hyped for this one! I was gonna do the same transitions for every game but this may be the new way to go for console games. This video shows what the black buttons look like. I also increased the canvas size to fit the shield button in the bottom left. I'm not sure if I will keep the black buttons. Il think on it for a bit Transition 1: Closes the box back up so you see the front again (For looping Purposes) Transition 2: Flips the box so you can read the back Transition 3: Opens the box to quote on quote read the manual to see the controls Transition 4: Flips the instruction booklet to see how to play Transition 5: Vortex is just a must. There is another one more 8bit that I will save for older titles Transition 6: Is a black giant rectangle so transition 5 has something to transition into. This also hides the black start up when the video loops I'm willing to do this for every game. I got more time then most so if it will lead to stuff like this, I'm all in 544190362_SuperSmashBros..mp4
  21. I'm Willing to do the time. No one has ever taught me this stuff before. I always had alot of Ideas but didnt have the know how to execute it. So thank you so much for helping me get started. So I did try the black on the buttons, I'm not feeling it. I'm gonna see if I can add a red x layer over the buttons so I can toggle what ones are not being used. That guy had great ideas but I just feel Its gonna cause more confusion then be helpful
  22. So I have some incredible ocd lol. I found some bezels online that look great but when ever I would resize them, they just were to blurry. I'm sure there are ways to fix it but I'm glad that I got frustrated because I ended up creating something I'm really happy with. Now I just need to add move lists and stuff. Shangtsung has all his morphs so thats why he is in the middle and I have all that black in the image to play with. But I figured i'd share my progress so far. I also plan to make where the skeletons are as the screen for that video after it sits on that image for a few. (Edit) I may just keep the hole pic up and use the full screen for the video. As cool as the bezel is, I dont like the pixel effect on it. Just the video. But I kinda want to keep the same theme going, and when I full screen the video, It loops back alot better because when the video stops and plays again, it flashes black for a sec
  23. Great Idea! Il have to update avp with that. Been working on another game. Heres UMK3. Had to really think outside the box for this one. I recorded the video in the end, then used that recording and recorded again to get the pixel effect on the game and get the bezel to flip like a page. (Edit) I have to fix the transition at the end. Does not loop well. The bezel says mk3 for some reason, and the frame rate on the video is really choppy for some reason. Gotta take a break before my mind melts lol. But I shall fix those soon 1146582761_UltimateMortalKombat3.mp4
