CadetStimpy
I gotta buy this on nostalgia principles alone! DOTT Remastered
Jason Carr
That's one I've always wanted to play, but haven't yet. Sounds like now's the time. :)
CadetStimpy
Yes, indeed. A good bit of humor included, too.
CadetStimpy
If you're interested in this game, check-out this video. In the video, IGN interviews the semi-gamer-famous Tim Schafer (Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, Brütal Legend, Broken Age, and co-designer of The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, and DOTT, of course), and founder of Double Fine Productions, about the game. It covers the new aspects of the game and shows some of the contrast between it and the original. Anyway, you may find it interesting. Jason Carr
Wow, very cool. That was a fun watch, even though I never played the original.
garbanzo
Not sure how I feel about this. I bought the DuckTales remake but never played past the first level. It just didn't feel right. I guess I prefer my games pixelated :)
Jason Carr
Hehehe, I sort of know what you mean, @garbanzo.
CadetStimpy
But, there's always this (if ya go there, scroll down for figurines of other game characters): Or this:
CadetStimpy
DoTT Remastered available for Pre-Order!
CadetStimpy
I kept two original, old-school game boxes. One was Doom, the other, DoTT! The IBM Reference Card What was in the box? Here's a small sampling: Fun postcard, Alone in the Dark Code Book, pretty dried-up lizard. P.S. The color on the box (top & bottom) may be a bit off due to some faint tree branch shadows coming through the window.
DOS76
I never had a computer back in those days the specs are so laughable when you see them 640K of memory
CadetStimpy
I know! 640K of RAM? What the hell could you run with that? I'm currently running about 32 million K of RAM (32GB). If my math is correct, I have 500 times more RAM than a 640K system.
CadetStimpy
Well, DoTT Remastered is available today on both GOG and Steam for the same price of $14.99. If you were going to buy it, would you go with or GOG or Steam (assuming accounts for both)? Perhaps the question is really just which one you prefer, in general...
